  Here's the method copy / paste that works for me in Photoshop CS6:

  1. Select and copy text from a word processing program or another source.

  

  2. create a new text box in a Photoshop file by clicking on the icon that looks like a "T" in the toolbar.

  

  3. in Photoshop, go to the Edit menu at the top of the screen and the mouse down to paste.

  

  4. the copied text now appears in the text box.

  I found a work around for the microsoft forums, I have to insert it the link allows you to change text to a link

  a few extra steps, but I can accomplish my mission.

  If I send you an email and then I want someone to send the same email, but with less content that what I sent you, cut and paste highlights the whole email and not just the portion I want to send to the other party. I have to use the delete button to make it work properly.  Below is the response from HP.

  At this point, I suggest to launch Internet Explorer and check to see if you are able to copy and paste the content of the emails. If you are able to accomplish the task uisng Internet Explorer, it could be possible that some features of AOL9.5 do not work as expected, and you would like to get in touch with AOL, to solve the problem.

• Copy and paste links...-preserving formatting

  I have a report. At the top of each page, there are a series of links that point to other pages in the report. There are several sections of the report, and the links above vary for each section. Sometimes, these sections are short... and sometimes I need to add to the pages. When I add pages, I want to just copy and paste the links to existing pages in this section. But when I do that, the default value of the return to blue and underlined links. I don't want their blue and underlined. I want that they gray! How can I glue them so that links still work, but they remain gray and emphasis? See the photos below to better understand what I'm asking. Thank you very much!

  Select the text in the two cases and watch the applied character Style. My guess is that the gray text has the character of hyperlink style, and he was replaced manually to get gray and emphasis. When the text is copied and pasted, the Style is reasserting itself. Remove the gray text Style (or redefine Style to change so that it matches your formatting preferences).

  I use VM Player 2.5.2 on MS Windows XP, my comment system is Centos 5.2.

  For some reason I can't use the mouse to copy and paste.

• HOW CAN I COPY AND PAST LINK IN A FORM?

  I use acrobat X and formed froms to fill out and send an email to customers so they can examine different real estate property and I want past a link at the bottom of the form. When I receive a warning on a new property There is a hyperlink in the emailand is one I'd like to copy and past on the PDF form described above. I don't want to nake a permanent link on the form that the info will change with each email I receive. If I copy the hyperlink in a text boc happens only as text. I can't believe it's so hard to do. If I copy the link in word or excel, and then save the file in pdf format the link will work, but then I can't use the form. OMG please help!

  How about, create a field additional text on the form, which would allow that you paste the link text? This would allow you to save the updated form and the user can easily copy and paste if necessary.

• Impossible to copy/paste or drag/drop of files. Cannot copy and paste text, either.

  The operating system would prohibit me files copy/paste and drag and drop files text copy and paste all of a sudden. No error message; the right operating system does not respond to my 'stick' and 'slide' actions; 'paste' is grayed out in the menu. ('Copy' seems to be black if I remember correctly).

  Need to reboot back to normal. A reboot about once a day because of this problem frequently.

  P.S. The computer seems to be slower than usual these days. kernal_task and Google Chrome Helper often go beyond 100% of the CPU in the activity monitor. My MBP has a 480 GB SSD (with use of 180 GB).

  I am running Vista Home Basic, 32-bit and trying to copy and paste at the back of my desktop remote connection to my computer at home.  When I connect, I checked the tab local resources and made sure the printer and clip board options have been selected.  I even checked them once to try to cheat the system, but has not worked.  Any suggestions?  It becomes quite complicated to just double tap!  He has worked in the past, but he just decided to stop working for some reason any.  Thank you!

  Essentially, the information on the tab local resources should have selected Clipboard.  Since you have already have this setting enabled, let me ask you a few questions:

  1. are you remoting of this system from Vista to XP system? or vice versa? or Vista to Vista?  If Yes, what is the Service Pack for two revisions of Windows on the computers involved? and these systems are all recent Windows Upates installed?

  2. you remember to load any software or maybe a mouse intelliport before this problem?  using a keyboard and wireless mouse?

  3 do the copy and paste functions work normally on both systems outside when not involved in remote desktop?

  Please let us know any information that may be necessary to help solve this problem.

• cannot copy and paste in windows 7

  I can't copy and paste to and from three different applications since the upgrade of Windows Vista 64 - Bit of Windows 7 (64-bit).  These features have worked in applications before the upgrade.  These applications are all WYSIWYG web design programs.  These programs are 1.0 Version of NVU, Kompozer (4 different versions) and Amaya Version 11.3.1. None of the functions work copy and paste in these programs in the normal start to fashion, but all copy and paste functions work properly in these programs when the computer is started in Mode safe mode with network support. I have five different word-processing programs on the computer and I can freely copy and paste without ANY problem between these programs.  I can also copy and paste files into the Windows folder without any problem. However, I can't copy or paste to or from applications of word processing in the three programs that presenting a malfunction.  Can't copy programs with a malfunction in one of the word processors.  Word-processing programs include Wordperfect X 4, Microsoft Word 2000, Microsoft Works 9.0, Windows 7 Notepad and Wordpad in Windows 7.  I disabled the anti virus program and its firewall.  The Windows Firewall is disabled. I run to my firewall and virus CA Security Suite 10.  I also tried to go through all three of the defective programs in each Windows of Windows 98SE Windows Vista SP2 Compatibility Mode.  I called HP Tech support and they had me to remove the following file in the Windows registry:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\appinit_dlls.

  Then, they had me look for a file (plow... or something similar) which is not found in the Windows\System 32 folder.  When this file is not found in the System 32 directory, I am told that I had a problem with MALICIOUS software.  After getting off the phone with them I did a full scan using Windows Defender and it did not find any problem.  After completing the analysis Windows Defender, I ran a full scan of the computer using the program CA Security Suite Virus Scan and it did not find any problem.  It makes no sense to me that copy and paste in these applications will work in Mode safe mode but not in Normal Mode.  As a digression, WordPerfect X 4 caused an error Code 38 when I tried to open it in Mode safe (it works fine in normal mode).

  I read a few testimonials online that this can be caused by a damaged or replaced system file.

  Try to start a CMD window (i.e., Run As Administrator) and running: SFC /VERIFYONLY
  If it indicates problems you can use SFC to restore your protected system files: SFC/scannow

  If you have full faith in the Microsoft System File Checker, you can ignore the /VERIFYFILES and just do the second command, because it will check the files and automatically restore any file that has been damaged or replaced.  I saw no reason to be wary of SFC, but I would like to know what's going to happen before it happens.

• Cannot copy and paste of Transitions in Adobe first Pro CC

  Hello. I'm having some trouble copying and pasting transitions in Adobe first CC.

  With my video track selected (V1), I select a transition from end of clips (in this case "Dissolution") and am able to go in Edition > copy.

  However, if I select another element on the same video track (V1) and reached the ICT where I want to place the transition, I am unable to paste it. The Edit > option paste is grayed out so I can't select it (see below).

  I have tried everything and can't figure out how to copy and paste the transitions at all. Command-C and command-V also does nothing. Again, I have the same video track selected "V1".

  I have reset the preferences, set to day and they are always dimmed.

  Make sure that the quick mask is not active.

  Mohit answer lead me to take another look, and I worked it out.

  When you first go in an image and try the long support, the menu with copy / paste grayed out:

  

  Somehow (I don't know the internal mechanism) parameters are not "active" for this image. What you have to do is click on the cursors icon (). The settings opens, but themselves are grayed out initially. They come to live in a few seconds.

  Once these parameters are under tension, the copy and paste menu items come live in the menu press and hold:

  

• Captivate 6 - cannot copy and paste them to different slides

  I recently spent some time creating a Captivate template to use for my company's eLearnings. I noticed that when I created a project of this model, I am not able to copy and paste objects (buttons, for example) from one slide to another in the new cptx file.

  As a test, I created a simple model of dummy and then created a model of a model project, and I have the same problem.

  In the dummy model, I can copy and paste objects to a new slide, but in my business model, I can't.

  Note: the pasted object does not appear on the stage or timeline.

  I found the answer, these files have been created in captivate 7 not 6, when I open or save it in captivate 6, there is no message, as in for example captivate in 8 files created in a more recent/Sour version. Everything except copy/paste works fine, y at - it an option for the news in what version of captivate file has been created?
