Cannot delete rejected photos

Using LR5.5 with photos stored on external disk. I had never rejected pictures of the disc removal, up to one hour there are problems. Suddenly, I thought that rejected photos cannot be deleted because the external drive can't stand Trash. Oh, it's on an iMac at the beginning of 2014 with a current operating system.

Any suggestions?

a much easier solution (mentioned somewhere in this forum) is to create an empty folder on the drive in question, using the Finder and then throw this folder to the trash. For some reason any LR can not put files in the trash if another program does not have something there first. You need to do after each reboot.

  • Option to delete rejected photos of drive disappeared - how do?

I am in LR 5.7.1 through a CC license. Until the more earlier in the day, I had an option to delete rejected photos from disk. It was consulted and presented as an option whenever I clicked on 'Delete rejected photos' tab 'photos' (Library module). Now by clicking on "Delete rejected photos" gives only the option of removing photos from Lightroom. This however, only removes them from the catalog - and they remain on the hard drive. For someone who has 200 k disk pictures, would take me years to browse and find the photos I had deleted the catalog Lightroom and deleting in the file too.

I can't believe that he is no longer a way to remove photos from disk via Lightroom. This function has been uninstalled by an update, and how can I get it back? This is essential to manage my catalog - and I can't believe I'm the only one having this problem...!

I found the problem. This works if you are in the complete catalog - I was in a collection. Problem solved, I think only phew... Thanks john for your advice above...

  • Problems with Delete rejected Photos

I hope that this issue has not been addressed previously. I checked as far as I had the patience.

I have recently upgraded to a new system of Vista 64-bit. LR 64-bit seems "Not responded" after that I used the "delete rejected photos." Both cases, the photos have been eliminated but LR library seized. On the first occaision I've removed about 40 photos to the second time was 300 + photos. Ideas or welcome information.

    Thank you

  • Cannot delete a photo album of the Ipad 2 that has been created in iphoto

I can't delete a photo album of the photos on my ipad 2.  The album was created in iphotos on my macbook air and synced from itunes.  All my photos on the macbook were imported to 'photos' and the album I want to remove my ipad does not exist on my macbook, not more.

What I'm supposed to do is sync my ipad with itunes and delete the album in iphotos.

However, there is no photos tab in my itunes me to synchronize the photos until I do?

Create an album with a name similar but empty - and then synchronize with the iPad – which should erase your photos

  • Cannot delete a photo I created?

I created a book cover for my latest novel and then used to create several other photos of different sizes for things like FB, avatar, etc.

I went to change the size of it... cannot do (says I don't have permission) all others bring up the correct box (Let's modify me, delete, etc.)

IF anyone one has ideas THAT WTF happens... and how I can remove this picture?

    Thank you.

    P.S. I have APS CS5 (12,0,4 X 64)

OK, thanks for the response guys... For some strange reason, IE (latest version) took control of it. It is removed when I closed IE. I had the window open when I closed my browser and it disappeared.

I should have mentioned that I run Win7. (and all permissions) Every now and then that happens, but it is so rare, I forgot about this... another weird bug of MS?

Now why this happens, I have no idea. As jmb007 said: "It's the windows". ;-)

  • Cannot delete a photo

There is a picture in 'Photos' that I can't remove. How he got there I have no idea. I know that he did not take it.  It seems to be a line drawing that was probably my PC at some point.

Is there a way I can get rid of him?  I don't mind cleaning or removing the Photos folder and start again with a new because I transferred all the photos I want to keep to iCloud.

    Thank you.

I should have mentioned that the photo shows a date, in "collections" of October 12, 2014.  This is the date it was probably created on my PC if that was at the origin of it.

    Thank you.

  • Cannot remove the Photos from an SD card in the card reader in Windows 7 error "is an error error application attributes - produced - the media is write protected."

Please check the post from Jetta48 on this article, for the workaround to resolve your concern.

    Have a nice day ahead!

I agree with you and think it had something to do with a Windows Update. I got this computer with Windows 7 for a couple of years and it took until this month I got the problem. Cannot delete the photos when the card reader is on a Windows 10 computer either.

  • Cannot find denied Photos that don't has not somehow be removed from the drive.

Hi, I have checked an answer for this but have not found one. I used the flag to reject the method, then went to "delete rejected photos", selected, remove the disc, I think. But, these photos are still on the drive, and they are more in the region with indicator should be deleted. The filter didn't come with something, I want to get rid of it for the drive, but I can't find them. Where would they be? I can't find where the rejected photos would be stored.

They are no longer in the LR module, but appear in BR...

I don't really want to have to delete everything by hand - new!

    Thank you

If they are still in their folder on the disc, you can right-click on the folder in Lightroom and choose "Synchronize folder." This will allow you to re - import all the images that have been deleted, but not deleted.

Once the images are re-imported, they will appear at a glance in the Catalog under "Previous import." Panel You can view the files, select all, and then delete again (this time by choosing "remove disc".)

A bit tedious, but no manual required sorting.

  • Why my rejected photos are still visible after I remove them?

I'm not an advanced user of LR by any means, so I hope I can get a preview here. When I go through my photographs, I dismiss them first. I take a peek at all my those rejected, then I select the option "delete rejected photos" and then "remove disc".

When I go to my collection of "All photos", I can still see all my rejected photos, except that they are grey. Why is this? I don't want to see them, I wish they are gone forever!

Any help you can give would be great. Thank you!

Maybe a bug if you have deleted the file.

  • Lightroom removing not rejected photos of drive - please help

I use lightroom 2.7 and have been for centuries now.

When I reject photos (x) and then click on the photo, delete rejected photos, pictures are removed my files from LR and sent to my trash, however they are still in my folder of photos on your pc.

It is used to remove pictures of disc of my files and LR TIMES (well at least I thought it was). Have not really looked at as closely as by TB in the past a lot of pictures.

This means that I'll have to delete two times (once in LR, and then again in my pictures folder). Very annoying. Am I missing something here?

    Help, please.

    Thank you

I still can't believe that you get something in the trash without him be removed from the directory where he lived.

Could you please show these captures new screen, but with the following information:

    • In the trash, choose display details and make sure that the full path of the file is in the screenshot
    • A screen shot of LR library before deleting, ensuring that the file panel is visible (and a possible with the metadata information)
    • In Explorer mode, choose display details and make sure that the full path of the directory is visible

My suspicion is that the photo resided you in LR in a different directory than you look in the Explorer (2nd copy during import?).

  • Trying to give my daughter my old iPad. Set up a family sharing. Cannot delete photos

This turns into a real pita.  I created a family sharing for the old iPad, which is very low on space, I'm empty I can't seem to get rid of the pictures, it is probably better just to get rid of the entire library, but everything appears.  Can't delete the photos that would take years to do anyway if it worked the same.  Disable all options photo to iCloud and turn their back on did nothing

    Concerning

Have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again?

You won't lose data, but it can cure some problems after installing new software.

If this does not work, try logging out of the AppStore on the phone in settings/iTunes and AppStore, restart the phone and you log in again.

  • How can I delete a photo album of the sidebar in the Photos on a MBP

I have accumulated a number of photo albums in the sidebar and want to consolidate some and completely remove others. Simple removal or a combination of keys and delete does not remove the photo album. In the menu bar, I see I can create a new album, but there is no tab that would allow me to delete the album.

You cannot delete system or records albums - for the user created folders, click with the right button on the folder in the sidebar and delete folder - even for albums

  • I can't delete old photos on my iPad version 8.1.3. What should I do?

I have an iPad version 8.1.3 April 2012. I am told now that the capacity is full. I then tried to remove a lot of old photos of 2012, 2013 and 2014, but there is no rubbish, so I do not know how to proceed. What should I do?

How the pictures came on the iPad? If they have been synchronized from a computer, you cannot delete directly on the iPad, you must reconnect the iPad to iTunes to your computer and use the Photos tab in iTunes to change your selection of photo sync and Resync. To remove all synced photos try selecting and sync just an empty folder

  • How to create a shortcut for deleting the photos

Every time when I want to delete a photo from my library of Photos, I confirm that I want to delete this photo. It is exactly 1 click or hit on the keyboard too. I was looking to create a keyboard shortcut for this, but I can't find the "right" of the menu command name. I thought it was 'Delete 1 Photo' but the keyboard shortcuts in the system preferences panel, I cannot type anything in there. Anyone know? And anyone know where I can find this command text so that in the future it can help me so look for other commands?

    See you soon!

If you use the keyboard shortcut command + DELETE ⌘⌫, will remove pictures of moments politicians or any album without no questions asked.  This shortcut should already be defined.
