Cannot install MS Office of DVD

Installed 4 Fusion on my imac intel. I connected to my PC, but it wouldn't transfer it via system for nothing. So I installed windows 7 on DVD on mac. I used easy transfer to create a back up of my original PC on an external HD. There is a file .mig. I went and got my MS Office/Publisher 2007 original install disks and when I put the installation disc 1, selection auto run or implement results in nada. Failed to install. Show all files as 0KB. Corel is the installation and it is since 1999! All I want is office, creative suite, corel and webroot. Nothing else. I should note that all my apps are academic version (my wife is a teacher) but should not question that I know. Any help appreciated.

You must click on the processes tab and see if there is all occurrences of iexplorer.exe.  Note: You may need to click Show all processes too.

  • Cannot install windows 7-error: dvd/cd driver missing

Try to install Windows 7 on a different SSD, but get an error indicating that the missing required cd/dvd driver.  How Windows load into memory from a cd/dvd that windows 7 says there is no driver missing?  This is the same installation disc that I used on a previous SSD without problem.  I have 2 other unused installation floppies, and each returns the error message.  This problem arose when an attempt to use System Restore Image I had done just on an external SSD and a drive hard usb.  The error I had to try to use one of them was that the Image was made in EFI and the computer seeks to restore in BIOS. It's the same machine.  Yes, disk management displays the UEFI 100 MB system partition.  The motherboard is an Asus F2A85 - V Pro.  List Disk running installation diisk sees only the cd/dvd and the drive hard usb but not the SATA drives.  When you normally use that List Disk sees everything.  The UEFI bios sees all readers, when you use the system installation disk.  I used a system repair disc made from the same computer at the same time as the picture of the system and used to start and got a system repair options is not compatible with this version of windows.  The windows version is 6.1.7601 sp 1 build 7601.  Any ideas?

    Hello

    Thank you for your response.

There are two modes of starting particularly machine-> BIOS & EFI. BIOS is the general start mechanism found in most machines. Some of the machines also support EFI boot mechanism with BIOS

Either the BIOS or EFI is set as the default in your machine - Please check start the installation system which

    one is active by default.

If the EFI operating system is installed, it will create an EFI system partition in your machine. Installation of BIOS has no EFI partition.

Warning in the BIOS: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to post in the case where you are facing other problems with Windows, we will be happy to help you.

    Hello Hendry,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you have any questions using the CD/DVD drive in Windows 7 computer. We will certainly help you with the same.

I would like to know some more information on this issue to help you better.

    1. Are you able to access the other CD/DVD drive in Windows?
    2. You try to install the drivers for any device?
    3. When say "Windows send me error code (19)", you get this error message in Device Manager?

In the meantime, please follow the below suggestion to solve the problem.

The error code 19 occurs when data in the registry for the device and its driver were damaged.

For more information on this error, follow the link below:

Code 19: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged

  • Windows 7 - error Code: 80070643 (cannot install the Office updates)

    Update KB982158 error 80070643___
Hi - I'm under Win7 pro with Office 2010 - new brand Toshiba, so not old stuff to get in the way. I tried everything to get the Power Point KB982158 update to load, but get the error code 80070643. Well, I hope that I have tried everything!

What does work is: try to install manually. unloading and reloading PPt and try to update; tried the 'Fix - it' KB suggested for a similar problem (error different message -0 x 80070646); tried to check the registry keys according to http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/18449f60-c149-4eaf-b8e6-a2880cd7232b - the first two hits are as they are supposed to be, but under local_machine etc. There is no AppData, there is a CommonAppData whose value is % ProgramData

should I change the value of %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming?

or I'm far from base, is there another solution? afraid to touch anything without the advice of expert-thank you

    Hello

You upgrade to Office 2010 or did you do a fresh install?

KB982158 is an update of security for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. As you have already installed Office 2010, you don't need this update.
I suggest you remove all components of Office 2007 from the computer, including add-ins for Office 2007 from the control panel
and see if that fixes the problem.

    Follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, then Control Panel.
    2. click on programs or features.
From here you can remove office 2007 and its components.

Refer to this link for help:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

I also want to mention that if you get the same error code when installing other updates, you can then follow the steps in the items listed
in my previous post. You can perform the steps of Vista on the computer Windows 7 from the first link. Also since the second link may be made
    on a Windows 7 computer.

You can also post the question in the Forums of Microsoft Office for assistance.
