• Exchange 2013 RTM upgrade to cu9

  We are almost new with Exchange 2013 and we are running on the RTM version. I understand the list of updates is available already for 2013 Exchange in a form of CU (cumulative updates). If I'm not mistaken it is already in its 9th CU. My question is, is it possible to update our Exchange 2013 GTR cu9 directly without going through the previous CUs? If so, we would be grateful if you could provide us with a quick guide for the upgrade. Thank you very much!

• OWA (Exchange 2013) with ADFS

  I tried to connect our OWA (Exchange 2013) to our ADFS server according to this guide - https://eu.netdocuments.com/neWeb2/docCent.aspx?whr=CA-ISRRR0MN

  I got one of the last steps (Activate authentication ADFS OWA and ECP) but I got an error now - when you try to run the command

  Get-EcpVirtualDirectory | Set-EcpVirtualDirectory -AdfsAuthentication $true -BasicAuthentication $false -DigestAuthentication $false -FormsAuthentication $false -LiveIdAuthentication $false -WindowsAuthentication $false
  

  I get an error - a parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name "LiveIdAuthentication".Any thoughts?

  Does anyone know the status of support for OWA Exchange 2013 and the ASA webvpn client access?

  I know that the ASA has a model for 2010... It works with 2013? Is there is the 2013 model in the pipeline for the ASA?

• Error Code 80072f8f: windows update fails. Outlook2010 auto config account Exchange 2013 fails 'no available encrypted connection '.

  The user did issue out-of-the-blue (update) about self-configuring. I don't know how he responded.

  So we see that Outlook cannot connect to the Exchange Server... error codes include:

  "There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate"

  "Outlook cannot connect to the server proxy [rackspace] mex06.emailsrvr.com".

  (Error code 080000000) »

  .. Thus, there seems to be a problem with the security on this computer certificates.

  I have no idea where to start to fix this...

  Rackspace, bravely suggested that I remove the mail profile and create a new...

  The create new e-mail account (exchange 2013) breaks down... same error...

  All hosted no more thoughts.

  In our test environment, I installed agent of POS on Exchange 2013 vm without any problems. Then, because he had some problems on the virtual computer exchange, I decided to install another Exchange with /reprise switch and removed the old one. This new exchange server works well with the same characteristics (name, ip etc.) with the former, but now I can not install Agent of POS.

  You could try deleting the customer record exist for Exchange in the POS device and then reinstall the agent on the Exchange Server.

  Here are the steps I used:

  Connect to the VDP Advanced device as root

  View customers by entering customer mccli see the--recursive = true

  Delete the registered customer by entering mccli, deletion of the client - area = / clients/VDPApps--name=vmname.companyname.com

  Simply said; You can listen to the sound using headphones, but can not hear the sound on the speakers. Right?

  Have you noticed this early? Have you installed a few 3rd party applications may affect the functionality of speaker? Maybe some Windows updates can affect this?

  Please check the settings in the control panel-> sound-> the Read tab

  As a last resort, I recommend for recovering the device I want to say, it looks a bit because of speaker, but I strongly recommend to test the laptop with the factory settings.

• Printer driver crashes when printing with Office 2013/8 64-bit Windows

  Printer: HP Color LaserJet CM1312nfi

  Printer driver: V5.1 (to date, downloaded from the HP support Web site) or generic V5.6

  OS: Windows 8 Professional 64-bit

  When I try to print an Excel document with Excel 2013 and V5.1 printer driver, the program freezes and must end with the Task Manager. This always occurs with the same document, but not with all the documents. Program also crashes when opening the preview before printing to the same document.

  The same document prints fine with V5.6 generic print driver and with the driver supplied with Windows 8.

  The same document prints fine with the driver version 5.1 on Windows 7 and Office 2010. The combination of Windows 7/Office 2013 has not been tested. Windows 8/Office 2010 combination has also not been tested.

  When I try to print an empty document with the word 2013 and the generic printer V5.6, the program driver crashes and must end with the Task Manager.

  My conclusion is that the HP printer drivers have a problem with Windows 8 or office 2013 or a combination of both.

  The printer driver supplied with Windows 8 and is installed automatically is useful as a temporary workaround, but it lacks some options, e.g. manual duplex.

  Upon request, I am ready to send the Excel document by e-mail for verification of the problem.

  -> control Panel-> devices and printers-> (select printer-> right mouse)-> printer properties-> settings-> tab Installable Options (bottom)-> Printer Status Notification-> change on 'off '.
