  My laptop came with Vista on it so unfortunately I have no disk to work with.

  I have no answer why you cannot install SP1.

  My answer is on your trying to open the CBS.
  You have not correctly the command line.
  It's... notebook C:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log
  Copy and paste the command line instead of typing.

  If you have upgraded your version of Creative Cloud Deskop App in the last 24 hours (to build the 2.1.1.110), you may experience installation problems with some modules that contain the locale specified in the MXI product.
