I asked advice from Realtek on how get this driver, but it fell on deaf ears. Can someone tell me where and how can I get the driver I need it please?  It may be that I have the wrong description of the driver.

I tried to resolve, but can not fix. Please Sir do little help...

    .

    Hello:

Sometimes it must first install the first Intel chipset driver and restart the computer before the installation of the ethernet driver.

One should always first install the chipset driver and restart the computer before installing any other driver to avoid things like this happen.

I have a problem getting my Realtek Fast Ethernet RTL8139 controller working under Windows 7. During my first installation of windows, in which the controller was visible device manager, I think to remember, but after the first reboot, it disappeared.
I have two controllers active ethernet in my system, the first one mentioned above and the second: Realtek RTL8168C (P) / 8111C (P) Family PCI - E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) [on board].
Certainly, the controller who is not found is working because LEDS are light when I connect the card to a cable. The other computer that is connected to my PC even shows that a 100 Mbit connection has been created (with problems though). However, it is not possible to communicate.

  • Satellite P20 & Orinoco card WiFi problems HELP?

I hope that one of the users on the Board of Directors may be able to advise me.

Details of hardware/software/Os & driver are listed below for reference.

Wired LAN works fine and connects to the small network of 10 Base T ethernet with Internet connection sharing. IP addresses are automatically assigned by DHCP on the gateway computer.

Problem is when I try to use or wireless LAN configuration to connect to an existing gateway used by two other laptops. Windows detects the device without problem but will age for the acquisition of the IP and advises when there is limited connectivity (fact ConfigFree). A connection is established and the signal strength is excellent but I am then unable to connect to the network via wireless connections or wired. The same problem arises even if I assign the IP address manually for the wireless card.

When I then disable the wireless card, then I can connect through the LAN port cable again.

I use Windows to configure the wireless card. The manual suggests using the Atheros Client Utility but all options on this are greyed out!

    The details are as follows:

    PC: Satellite P20-S103 Mod; PSP20E-00V7V-FR

OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2

LAN card: Built in, identified by Windows as Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC driver 5.606.811.2003 Version

WiFi network card: integrated, identified by Windows as Orinoco PC Card Driver version Agere Systems 7.62.0.390 Mini

    Wireless Access Point: 3Com 3CRWE747A 128 Client 802 network Type. 11 b = Infrastructure.

Atheros Client Utility: Build Sep 26 2003 Version 2.4.2.18

Hope you can help. Looking forward to you with suggestions.

    Thank you

    Graham

    Hi Graham

In my opinion, it is not a big problem. In my opinion, you should try to disable an option in the tool ConfigFree. Please start ConfigFree and go to map of device settings. There you can find the background option called Enable Wireless when cabledisconnect occurs. Check if this option enabled. If so, disable it and try again to make the same connection.

    I hope it helps.

"Application and driver Recovery DVD" are not a (hardware) boot media, you need an operating system to be installed first.

OS install first, after that the drivers and applications.
