Cannot play DVDs on my Equium A200

When I try to play a DVD on Equium A200, it plays on windows media player. I have sound but visual is blurred.

You need to install codecs. The best solution is to install the package such as K-lite codec.
But there is another solution: you can use another player to watch movies on DVD or movies to avi, mpeg or wmv format. Use VLC Player. VLC player is also useful if you want to use subtitles in the txt file. Simply place a txt file with the same name in the movie file in the same folder. If you

  • Re: How to save the video file to a DVD-R for Equium A200

I have the Equium A200. Someone can tell me how to save the video file to a DVD-R on my computer in order to use it later, or use it in windows movie maker and must not simply copy on another DVD-R right?

My cursor also has disappered in the suite of windows media, that makes life quite difficult.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

You mean, you want to copy the original DVD movie to HARD drive?
Well, you can copy the contents of the entire DVD to the HARD drive. It means that you have to copy a lot of data.
I would recommend shrinking the DVD movies using a tool called DVD shrink.
It would decrease the data and would also copy the content to the HARD drive.

But if you want to use these files later in windows movie maker, so you must convert these using a 3rd party tool.
Google a bit and you should find many free applications that would help you to do this work.

    Hello

  • Cannot install Windows XP on Equium A200

    Hello

I uninstalled vista on my laptop Equium A200. My idea was (a popular) to uninstall vista and XP, get rid of the unstable operating system (sorry, personal opinion)

Of course the XP installation noted that I have no disks on my pc. I got the SATA drivers, purchased an external floppy and F6'ed my path to the windows install. I needed to manually edit files on my floppy drive, so that the installation of the OS would find the drivers as well. I got through the complete installation, when she saves the settings in the very fine tip, it restarts automatically (I don't remember if XP was supposed to do by default, anyway) when the system starts up once again, it appears the blue screen of death of about 0.5 seconds and restarts.

Now, I also had a disk with nlite, so drivers were there so I tried this and everything was the same (I don't need my way through installation F6) and the last blue screen of death pointed out that there is once again a problem with my HARD drive and I have to check for viruses.

I am of ideas at the moment. I don't want to take it back to the shop cause, that they will probably charge me for it and still put vista.

    any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

The XP installation should be possible. Don t see serious reasons why the XP shouldn't t run on your A200 Equium.

As you know the driver SATA (Intel Matrix Storage Manager) must be included during execution of the XP installation

It is very important that you install a XP with SP2!
Win XP without the XP2 may makes problems

  • Unable to play DVDs on an Equium A100

    Hello

My laptop will play some DVDs but does not play the other DVD. I get the following message appears when you try to play certain DVD: "Media Center cannot detect a video DVD in the DVD - ROM drive. Insert a video DVD in the drive."

DVDs that can not be read seem to be more recent films, for example the Lord of the rings or Bourne Ultimatum rather than DVD of the films made in the 80s or 90s.

I would be grateful for any help that could solve this frustrating situation.

    Thank you

Here is a useful document to Microsoft on the issues of DVD playback.

A burned disc appears as a blank disc in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/905922

Looks like it s not hardware but software more related question.
As far as I know the CD/DVD drives don't support all types of CD and DVD.

Maybe a few DVD movies are burnt on the media which are not entirely compatible with the internal CD/DVD drive
    To me, it seems plausible
