  I use Windows XP and IE8, and I am trying to allow the installation of ActiveX controls.

  I have read a dozen forums and tried all the tips. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  I tried going into the tools of IE tab and changing the security options to "allow software to run or install even if the signature is not valid.

  I unchecked the boxes to "verify signatures.

  I passed the security settings and select: fast for "Unsigned download Active X controls" and: ask the user 'initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as secure..'  and 'activate' to 'run ActiveX controls '.

  I even added the IP domain in my zone of confidence and lowered my security level to 'low '.

  I also remembered to close and restart IE.

  I always get the error message when you try to leave the site to install ActiveX. controls.  FYI the ActiveX is remote viewing of a security camera.

  If anyone has any other clues that could help me with this problem I would be very grateful.

  Thanks James, but I found the problem.  There was an extra box that I neglected to "verify" that allowed to install unsigned files.  I thought I had checked and unchecked everything related but I missed a.  Scary lengths windows go to protect me! :)

  Glad that you were able to determine what text frame, it has been. We have not yet isolated the source of the bug, but in the next update (due soon), some information about the offending text block (title page and a short excerpt from the content) will be saved in the MuseLog.txt file (located in your Documents folder).

• Captivate 9: project offshoot freezes and no longer preview or publish

  Hello

  I have a captivate project 9, with branching activated. Whenever I went to preview or publish the project it crashes, on slides at random.

  The branching is created using advanced actions of "go to...". "and I have tried editing to HTML5, SWF and both.

  I even enabled scalability, tested on different browsers and tried a load of different patches!

  Any ideas?

  You said branch never updated before, so I didn't know who was involved.

  I came across several issues where conscious branch comes into conflict with other parameters of such Captivate that submit all the and other options quiz.

  If conscious Branch participated in this issue and turn it off has advantages, then I would say that your actual issue is somewhere in your quiz slides, or perhaps with the pre-test if you have one.

• Muse 2014.3.1.44 crashing on preview or publish

  After having upgraded to 2014.3.1.44, everything seemed to work better so far. Muse crashed on me without reason and now the site I worked on that will not preview or publish, whenever muse crashes.  I reinstalled the application, but it makes no difference.

  It seems to be simply the file that I worked on, which after investing two days of time already, I really don't want to lose.  Any suggestions to get around this corruption?

  When I click on a file titled 'Subject access request letter re account 12527629 Sort Code 60-10-34 24022015.pdf number', which is stored in my account on Acrobat.com, I get the response "cannot get a filetype overview please download the file for display. This file was created from a document in OpenOffice .odt the same title. Please notify.

  I downloaded an image, which is supposed to be a .pdf file, since the installation of web of Royal Mail Track & Trace using my Samsung S5. The text that I expect to see might as well be hieroglyphics for all its resemblance to the text. Please notify.

  In your efforts, you mention in step #6 you save the file as a PDF secure. Applied security files cannot be previewed to the customer, that's why you get the message "cannot preview filetype please download the file for display. This message preview complete and preview the hover. After downloading the file, you should be able to access it without error (within the limits of the guarantee applied).

  The hover behavior you report is expected. If you hover over a file name, you will see "hover" noticed after a few seconds, that will get you a small preview of the file (rather than having to open it in the overview). If poster only if you hover over a name of file, not in the empty area of each line, so that you have not seen continually arise.

• DW CS6 cannot preview in Chrome - location of the file misuse

  So, I found that DW CS6 cannot preview in Chrome. Preview works in all other browsers I use BUT Chrome. And why, I found the reasom, but not why it does. But obviously, there is a bug.

  If you try to view in Chrome, it provides an incorrect link in the file.

  For example, Safari or another browser, displays the appropriate file URL:

  file:///volumes/webdev/clients/client/site/TMPRWU771.htm

  BUT Chrome does this:

  file://webdev/clients/client/site/TMPRWU771.htm

  Notice that Chrome lets good start of the paths of file:///Volumes/ and uses only file:// and so no ability to preview in Chrome and you get this error message "this Web page could not be found."

  If manually resolve you this URL to file departure, Chrome will be noticed, but that the devil as the time and effort to do so? Or, we would have to.

  Someone else, to find a way to solve this problem.

  This problem occurs on opening files other partitions in your MAC, please make sure that all your files are in the same partition you are working.

  That being said, we have an internal bug logged for this, who will have the priority of a solution based on the position relative to other such issues

• Help... Will of C2 not preview or publish

  When I try to listen to samples, the progress bar stops running and freezes. Did the same thing when I try to publish.
  
  I was importing a Mp3 file in each of my slides and everything was working fine until about slide 15.
  
  Tried re-register it under different name and restart, but no change.
  
  The only way I could get to preview and publish it to work was to remove the sound elements of the last slides.
  
  What happens here? Have I touched a limit on something? Its a pretty simple program (static slides with 600 Ko of a sound file on each slide).

  I was able to get the preview function to work now. I have found that whenever I click on "[Preview] and [Project], the progress bar 'Generate Slides' moves a little further to the right. It takes about ten repetitions to get the project to complete the process.
  It's almost like I'm pushing him through the process... Strange, but it works.

• Style does not apply to the text in the preview or publish

  I created a character style to apply to the section headings in my subjects. The style is included in the file .css with the appropriate attributes. On the WYSIWYG component, everything seems perfect, but on the preview and after that I publish, the style has disappeared.

  I checked the file .css on the host server and it is as it should be (to the best of my knowledge). Is there anything else I could check to fix this?

  I have a responsive project in Captivate 8. I have a demonstration of the software when it scrolls, that Captivate seems to turn into a flash animation. Publish or preview, the screen remains white and nothing only shows or charges. This happens in all three breakpoints.

  The media is in the library under "media - Fullmotion11_1.swf".

• C7: Question of Audio: don't play not in preview or publish

  Got a new number. Cap7: I recorded audio in the slide, plays in the chronology, plays with just the slide, do not playa with preview 5 slides, from here, or all and plays not published. I reset the folder preferences (C:\Users\storybell\AppData\Local\Adobe(hidden), renamed the 7 Captivate file, checked all the usual suspects... audio off on what anyone,.

  Tried to run it from another file, disk and computer.  Weird. Do not find it! Help, please. Arrrrg.
