Cannot print to PDF more!

Hello

I recently bought a laptop that has Windows and Office 365 10 on it and I installed my old copy of Adobe Acrobat X standard, but I can't create PDF? the print window simply crashes?

I usually create a document in word, excel or visio, and then click Print to make a PDF Version but as I said the print window simply crashes.

I tried to register the software with Adobe Cloud, but he says he cannot be saved.

Any help please asit seems that the new basic option is expensive!

Hi muddytroll,

Acrobat X is not compatible with Windows X, features may or may not work on a non compatible OS.

However you can always try Acrobat and Reader help / troubleshooting PDF printing | Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader.

Kind regards
Nicos

  • Cannot "print to PDF" in Word with Acrobat XI

I've recently updated since Acrobat X to XI Acrobat and now I don't seem to be able to "Print to PDF" from in a Word document. He tries to produce the PDF file, then produced an error log that says:

    "File"adobe PDF Settings"read error in: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings\Standard.joboptions.

Is there any solution for this?

Just to be sure about the features of all the rest. Try to change work options in the printer (and/or) PDF Maker to print or press options and see if printing and PDF Maker works correctly. If this is the case, you know that the problem is a bad files. I don't know if those who cannot be seperatedly extracted the distribution of Acrobat or not. I could check my Win7 of AAXI installation and see if I have problems with work options. I generally do not use STD options, but one provided by IEEE for publication. I've found that works on how everything and the results look generally nice. Generally, it incorporates all the fonts that is another option, I want to. The question of the police is not optimal, from my point of view with the Standard settings, incorporating all of the fonts.

Try to see if you can open them in distilling. If yes you can save copies in distilling (just save under a new name). Then check your last step and see if they will open when re-recorded or when used as parameters for printing.

I'm trying just to imagine things, that you can try. The road to distill may be a good test. If copies work fine, but the originals are not, you could just rename the originals with... .orig or such and then change the name of the copies the original name. If you want to go further (I recommend), all these new versions to read only as the original must change.

I forgot to mention that to change in distilling, go to the settings tab and select the task settings, then tap edit. The original files can not be saved without changing the name, because they are read-only. If you need more help on this, ask and I'll go to my machine with AAXI.

    Hello

Can you tell us what your help program to print these PDF files? Adobe reader for example? The version of the program will help also greatly as well.
Try this just in case where you use Adobe reader x.
Open a PDF document. And to the toolbar above, select Edition, then Preferences.
In the left pane, select 'General '.
On the right side down, you will see an entry for 'Enable Protected Mode at startup,' with a checkbox next to it. Clear this check box, and then click ok. Try to print now and see if it works.
If you don't have Adobe reader X, let me know what you have and I'll try to help more.
  • Cannot print to PDF

After that my old computer fell down, I installed and activated Acrobat 8 Standard on a new computer. On the old machine, I had been systematically printing of PDF files.  Now, when you try to print something to PDF, the print progress bar stops approximately two-thirds of the way across, and the progress description says: "stopped".     I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat and repaired, and I removed the drive from the computer and restarted.  I am running Vista Home on a HP Pavilion.

After you remove the drive, you will need to do a repair even more likely. You have not specified the AA8 version you use and if the OS is a 64-bit system. In all cases, make sure that you update to the latest version AA8 - 8.3.1.

  • Cannot print large PDF PDF.  Internal error: 8004, 6343724, 8484240, 0

We are having a problem with printing to PDF format for large files FM.  PDF seem by contrast runs for the small and medium volume PDFs.

    Internal error: 8004, 6343724, 8484240, 0

    FrameMaker 8.0.0 for Intel

    Build: 8.0p273

I checked the default printer and is defined in Adobe PDF format.  I also tried to print in PDF format to another file of FM, just in case the current file is may be damaged and the same error.  At this point, this problem affects our work as we can't save it in PDF format.  Does anyone have any ideas I can try?

    Thank you

    Steve

Welcome to the forum, Steve. I'm confused by what you are which means "large volume" FM record / PDFs, do you mean the County at top of page in a single PDF file or single file of FM, or you want to tell a large number of PDF files?   In both cases, an example of this 'big' are could help us solve problems more.

Second question, you mention both printing to PDF and 'Save as PDF', you are making a distinction between the two methods, which means none of them are working for "large volume" PDF files?

Using the PDF Distiller provided with FrameMaker, or you have a separate installation of Acrobat Pro?

All files and graphics etc on the local system, or are they on a network location?

A reason any you don't have to update to the latest version 8.0 p277? There were a few bugs quite obscure accidents listed in the 8.0.4 / readme p277, although not acknowledged that specifically mentioned the creation of PDF or print.

  • Adobe Distiller crashes when opening - cannot print in PDF format

Since the update to Adobe DC I can't print to PDF or open Adobe Distiller without crashing a few seconds later. I've read a lot about it being corrupted fonts, but I tried to uninstall all but system fonts and I always have the same question. Looks like it hangs when it reaches the Lucida Console fonts when checking for fonts, it is however a system font and I can't uninstall it. The question I have is that I can't PRINT to PDF as it just hangs up. I use a lot printing to PDF functionality in my workflow! Please HELP because it is very frustrating and I had no problem with XI. Is any way to downgrade?

  • Printers HP Officejet Pro 8600: cannot print the PDF for HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium

I can't print pdf files. I can print Word and Excel documents. The printer worked fine on my old computer, it's a new laptop from Dell. I installed the wireless printer and had this problem. I then uninstalled all the hp print files and reinstalled like a printer cable and still it won't print pdf even if it will print documents of type word. Thank you for your help.

    Hey @scienceisfun,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I see that you have some problems with PDFs of your 10 Windows PC printing to your Officejet 8600 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that, but as the printer prints other programs on the same computer, this means that the problem is related to your PDF software. I suggest you uninstall your PDF Viewer and install again. If you are not able to print PDF files after reinstalling the software, then the next step would be to contact the company that wrote the software PDF to decide the issue.

Please let me know if this resolves your problems or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great week!

If this solves your problem, then please help others find this post by clicking on accept as Solution on my post.

  • 11 of FrameMaker on Windows 7 cannot print to PDF with image PDF content

Images PDF loading in Framemaker and all seems fine, there is also JPEG images and objectives contained in the book. The book builds ok, but when we try to print the book in PDF format we get errors. When the PDF images are exchanged for dummy images prints the book in PDF format or if substitute us JPEGS and made for images PDF prints the book in PDF format.

PDF images were produced in Illustrator CC, averaged about 90K in size.

The error we get is the following: "error EF get textframe on page with name - invalid page identifier.

    Error opening file 'MF_set_pdf_view_bookmark' D\EXPORT\figures\book title.pdf PDF

I am the Illustrator who produces PDF images for our design service, we have just recently updated to Windows 7 PC, Framemaker 11 and the complete Adobe Creative Suite cloud. Technical publications we produce contain thousands of illustrations in jpeg, tif, cgm, cc4 and pdf due to data transmission format, but all the new and changed, illustrations I want to provide as a pdf. I can solve the problem by exporting the illustrations as TIF or JPEG files, but is not to solve the problem of pdf content.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Gary B.

    Problem solved.

The software company solved the problem PDF, there was a problem with the encoding when PDF images have been used for a particular frame size document that we use for maintenance procedures. The question did not arise when any other image format has been used only PDFs. due to existing data, images, databases and security reasons, a number of applications that we use have had a few recoding and unfortunately this causes us some problems until the bugs are sorted.

  • 9.4.3 - cannot print my PDF for a s 8000 Canon GIF files

    Hello world!

I would appreciate any advice about the foregoing.

For the past two years, I was able to create works in In Design CS4 then export it to PDF using Acrobat Pro and print successfully on a GIF of Canon s 8000.

I've updated the different drivers, the software adobe during this period and all was well in my camp.

Two weeks ago the printhead on Canon changed... and since my printed posters are missing, lettering, etc.

I was chatting with the guys from Canon, and we removed the printer as a problem.

The problem lies in Acrobat Pro 9.4.3

Is someone having a similar problem with 9.4.3?

    Well done VW/MK

    Get off at 10.6.6.

Apple messed with 10.6.7 fonts... PASS IT on!

  • My HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni cannot print .pdf files

    Dear,

I have a printing problem with my HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni (function USB my iMAC), since I installed the OSX Mavericks.

Although my printer print word files, cannot print .pdf, even through the software PREVIEW or ACROBAT files.

It gives the break signal... any solution about that?

    It is very annoying.

Thanks in advance for your comments or help!

    Hi Kpanag

I understand that you cannot print the PDF files from the upgrade to Maverick.

I'll be happy to help you with this.

I check and repair the authorization to drive on the Mac.
Go on the hard drive of the Mac, applications, utilities, disk utility, click Mac hardrive left side, click on verify disk permissions, when it is finished click on repair disk permissions.
(when it's over will show disk repair completed)

Run the Apple updates also. (the Mac uses probably drivers 10.8)

    Make sure Acrobat is up-to-date.

If you need more simply make assistance let me know.
