Cannot "print to PDF" in Word with Acrobat XI

I've recently updated since Acrobat X to XI Acrobat and now I don't seem to be able to "Print to PDF" from in a Word document. He tries to produce the PDF file, then produced an error log that says:

"File"adobe PDF Settings"read error in: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings\Standard.joboptions.

Is there any solution for this?

Just to be sure about the features of all the rest. Try to change work options in the printer (and/or) PDF Maker to print or press options and see if printing and PDF Maker works correctly. If this is the case, you know that the problem is a bad files. I don't know if those who cannot be seperatedly extracted the distribution of Acrobat or not. I could check my Win7 of AAXI installation and see if I have problems with work options. I generally do not use STD options, but one provided by IEEE for publication. I've found that works on how everything and the results look generally nice. Generally, it incorporates all the fonts that is another option, I want to. The question of the police is not optimal, from my point of view with the Standard settings, incorporating all of the fonts.

Try to see if you can open them in distilling. If yes you can save copies in distilling (just save under a new name). Then check your last step and see if they will open when re-recorded or when used as parameters for printing.

I'm trying just to imagine things, that you can try. The road to distill may be a good test. If copies work fine, but the originals are not, you could just rename the originals with... .orig or such and then change the name of the copies the original name. If you want to go further (I recommend), all these new versions to read only as the original must change.

I forgot to mention that to change in distilling, go to the settings tab and select the task settings, then tap edit. The original files can not be saved without changing the name, because they are read-only. If you need more help on this, ask and I'll go to my machine with AAXI.

    Hi Nitin,

You mentioned that the mopier mode setting is not available for the printer. You can check if there is a possible working storage?

    Here's how to find one:

    • Select StartControl Panel<>Printers.
    • Right-click the desired printer icon and select printer Properties.
    • Select the device settings tab.
    • Find settings for storage of the work at the end of the list. (Check if the mopier mode is available in this setting. This setting could also be under "Installation Options").
    • Change the settings for active to disabled.
    • Click apply and OK.

You can also disable ranking for the printer:

    1. Go to file > Print > collate box.
    2. Uncheck the box for the collate box.

In addition, when you try to print a document, launch the document in administrator mode. For example: right-click on the word and select run as administrator of mode.

  • How change a PDF file created with Acrobat Pro XI after signatures have been applied (as I can in 7, 8.0

I have a major problem that I need to resolve before we can buy Acrobat Pro XI:

Currently, with Acrobat Pro 8.1, after all signatories sign a document, we add an effective Date (we add it after they sign since we do not know when the last signature is acquired and we cannot have an effective Date that is prior to the date of the last signatory, moreover, it would be effective before they signed, which is not possible). I am also authorized the latitude (as described in our Documentation control procedure) to make spelling corrections, hyperlink updates and minor formatting changes (using the typewriter and, also, by replacing a page which is NOT signed so page change shows how to repaginate the document or the amendment of a hyperlink that has changed).

In all versions previous Acrobat we used (7 Pro, Pro 8 and 8.1 Pro), this was easily possible and any changes would be listed on the Signatures tab, which is exactly what we want, is traceability.

I now use the trial version of Acrobat Pro XI but get the message "this document is signed and cannot be displayed." If I bring the same PDF created from Word 2003 & 2013 using Acrobat Pro XI in Pro 8.1, however, I CAN add the date, use the typewriter and replace unsigned pages, register and leave without compensation or lose any signature.

My question is this: How can I do this in Acrobat Pro XI, as Pro XI (in the Signature pane) lists also changes made to the document, when it was edited using Pro 8.1? (It's OK that the changes made to the PDF and then mark signatures as "invalid", as the reason why they were invalidated is also listed in the pane of the Signature, for example "form field added," which is usually the Date of effect applied).

    Thanks for any help!

Thank you, Zildjian, and isakten. You me headed in the right direction. What I ended up doing was just a form text (for entry into force) field, then the required signature fields. After everyone has signed, I can the Effective Date of entry, then save the document and I don't have to sign myself or apply any type of certification. I just have to remember to put the text before form field I have forward the documents. It's the right answer, at least for my situation.

    Thanks again!

  • Images cut off when printing to PDF in Word 2010

I saw a thread about it, but he never sufficiently answered. It is perhaps better understand now. It turns out that when I printed to PDF with MS Word 2010, Windows XP, all the images seem to be partially superimposed with a white box. Here are the jpg files, but it also occurs with other formats. I can really only the last column of tiles. This also happened to me with Word 2008. I am attaching a page cropped with such an image. Woukd anyone know what is happening here and how to fix it? I am running Acrobat 9.0 Pro. Thank you very much - it was really bothering me for awhile now. CutePDF will do the job but I prefer the 'high quality distiller' better...

You could try the tool object editing and see if you can choose this white background which is hiding something and move/delete it. Worth a try. It may just be an overlay of some sort.

In the left pane, select 'General '.
On the right side down, you will see an entry for 'Enable Protected Mode at startup,' with a checkbox next to it. Clear this check box, and then click ok. Try to print now and see if it works.

  • Printers HP Officejet Pro 8600: cannot print the PDF for HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium

I can't print pdf files. I can print Word and Excel documents. The printer worked fine on my old computer, it's a new laptop from Dell. I installed the wireless printer and had this problem. I then uninstalled all the hp print files and reinstalled like a printer cable and still it won't print pdf even if it will print documents of type word. Thank you for your help.

    Hey @scienceisfun,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I see that you have some problems with PDFs of your 10 Windows PC printing to your Officejet 8600 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that, but as the printer prints other programs on the same computer, this means that the problem is related to your PDF software. I suggest you uninstall your PDF Viewer and install again. If you are not able to print PDF files after reinstalling the software, then the next step would be to contact the company that wrote the software PDF to decide the issue.

Please let me know if this resolves your problems or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great week!

If this solves your problem, then please help others find this post by clicking on accept as Solution on my post.

  • conversion from pdf to word, Adobe Acrobat XI of the Pro trial

I am using a 30 day trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, when I convert a pdf to word doc, he has several letters hidden & symbols, it's because it's a trial?

Also, be aware that the conversion to WORD is a matter of chance. Much depends on the structure of the PDF and how it was created. Some files convert almost perfectly for basic text and graphics (equations translated generally as images), while others have little in common with the PDF file.

  • Cannot print large PDF PDF.  Internal error: 8004, 6343724, 8484240, 0

We are having a problem with printing to PDF format for large files FM.  PDF seem by contrast runs for the small and medium volume PDFs.

    Internal error: 8004, 6343724, 8484240, 0

    FrameMaker 8.0.0 for Intel

    Build: 8.0p273

I checked the default printer and is defined in Adobe PDF format.  I also tried to print in PDF format to another file of FM, just in case the current file is may be damaged and the same error.  At this point, this problem affects our work as we can't save it in PDF format.  Does anyone have any ideas I can try?

    Thank you

    Steve

Welcome to the forum, Steve. I'm confused by what you are which means "large volume" FM record / PDFs, do you mean the County at top of page in a single PDF file or single file of FM, or you want to tell a large number of PDF files?   In both cases, an example of this 'big' are could help us solve problems more.

Second question, you mention both printing to PDF and 'Save as PDF', you are making a distinction between the two methods, which means none of them are working for "large volume" PDF files?

Using the PDF Distiller provided with FrameMaker, or you have a separate installation of Acrobat Pro?

All files and graphics etc on the local system, or are they on a network location?

A reason any you don't have to update to the latest version 8.0 p277? There were a few bugs quite obscure accidents listed in the 8.0.4 / readme p277, although not acknowledged that specifically mentioned the creation of PDF or print.
