Cannot resize the partition to the desired size?

I'm trying to resize a partition in the C drive of 15 GB and another one to 15 GB. However it gives me a value of maximum shrinkage of 8160 MB. I started to have only a maximum reduction of 79 MB value, but after disabling the system restore, run the Disk Cleanup Wizard, and the deactivation of page files I was able to get to 8160 MB. I have a 289 GB HDD with 137 GB free. I don't understand why it's only allowing me to reduce approximately 8 GB since I was 137 GB free. Any ideas?

    Hello

    In the print dialog box, you would get options to resize your document.

    Try them and see if that helps.

    Once you choose the print option, it would give options to change the size of the page you need.

    Please check and see if it suits you or not.

    I understand what you say, I have created a disk of asm with 500 MB of size using asmtool, so I can't resize using asm instance.

    1. What is the use of asmtool-added option, we can add an existing using this command drive space?

    This isn't for adding space, but it adds the label to the disk partition...
    asmtool - add \Device\Harddisk1\Partition1 ORCLDISKASM0
    >

    2 can you please explain this more, * it could be increased if you already held 300 total asm 500 disk space *?

    Think like OS, you have created a 10 GB partition for disk D:\ example. And now, you create files/folders with size of hugh (as some movies ;)) to drive D:\, so eventually your drive D:\ will fill. This is the case even with your asm disk, once you have used all your available space of the asm disk (that you created through asmtoll), you can not increase.
    By asmtool - create D:\Asm_disks\disk3 500, you assign the total size to 300 from the asm disk. Just as you add 10 GB partition for OS...

    You come to the backup from my point of view: it could be increased if you already worked 300 asm disk space total 500

    I have created the disk with the following text:
    asmtool - create 500 D:\Asm_disks\disk3 > size is 500

    I create diskgroup with
    SQL > create diskgroup DB 'D:\Asm_disks\disk3' size disc 300; > Here I wll use only max 300 size of 500 total. So once I get to the threshold of 300, I can increase the asm disk up to 500.
    As
    SQL > alter diskgroup DB resizing disk "D:\Asm_disks\disk3' size 500; > Increasing up to 500

    Default if the clause you SIZE omit while creating a diskgroup, asm then disc occupies all the available space of the device that you have created by asmtool

    >

    3. What is meant occupation here, not here where we can control the right of occupancy?

    We can control as I explained.

  • Cannot resize the icons in Notification area

    The icons in the notification area are too big (distorted).  How to resize them?

    I use Windows Vista Home Premium.  I used the help and support available in Windows; I searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base; and I searched for information on the microsoft.com site.  All to nothing does not.  I did not want to resize the taskbar.  I unlocked the task bar, but still nothing.

    Please let me know if you need additional information.  Thank you.

    Nathalie

    Hi, Nathalie:

    1. right click on a box empty desktop and select Customize.

    2. click on appearance and the color of the window.

    3. click on the properties of classical appearance open for other color options (if you are NOT using Windows Aero, you can omit this step).

    4. in the appearance settings dialog box, click Advanced.

    5. on the drop down item menu select buttons of legend. Make sure that its size is equal to 19 (by default).

    Another option is to re-apply your current theme:

    Repeat steps 1-3 above. Change your Windows classiccolor scheme, for example in the appearance settings dialog box, and click apply. Now return to your desired color scheme and click apply, OK.

    If all else fails, try to rebuild the Vista icon cache:

    1. right click on a box empty desktop and select Customize.

    2. click on adjust the resolution of the screen.

    3. in the drop-down color menu, select medium (16 bit).

    4. click on apply.

    5. when Windows you asked if you want to keep these settings, click No to restore your 32-bit color depth. Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience

  • Cannot resize the historical Panel since the installation of the updated CC.

    Mac X 10.8.5; PS CC 2014.2.1

    After updating my Photoshop CC today, I find that I can no longer resize the width of the Panel history/Actions/etc. When I point to the left edge of the Panel, the cursor becomes the tool of the double-arrow-resize, but nothing happens when I drag it. The Panel layers, libraries, swatches, etc is correct: I can resize without problem.

    Is this a known problem or maybe something is wrong with my installation?

    TIA, Beth

    He can't go closer, because you have it in a column with brushes that can not go very close.

    And he cannot go much higher because of the minimum size of the panels below.

    You can always remove the panels individually and rearrange them however you want.

  • Cannot resize the window as we have after the new update for Firefox

    This morning, Firefox installed an automatic update, and after that, I can't resize the window to a smaller proportion. First of all, let me explain why I do this.

    We have a local Web page to work where we can keep track of some of the statistics, and it is the only area that I need to post. This area I used to reduce the FF window, move until it was in my opinion and freeze it above all other windows (custom AHK script).

    The problem now is that FF resize to the size, it stops at a certain minimum width. Height is no problem, I can resize the height until he is "gone", but the width to a static limit stops.

    Example: Earlier I was able to resize to 500px width, but now it stops at 700px width and will not go lower. Earlier, this could go, like, 10-20px width.

    A bug, or is there a reason for this?

    It's because of Bug 897160, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=897160.

    Temp fix in comment 27.

  • Cannot resize the PDF file

    Hello. I bought a new 6830 yesterday and I have a problem of scaling a PDF file to print. When I got back the PDF file, the image is reduced in the file, but prints in original format. Today, I visited the Adobe site and found a page called Acrobat PDF Help/Basic printing tasks. According to Adobe, when I open the print dialog window, I can change the page to shrink or expand by setting the size I choose in the scale box:

    Custom scale  Resizes the page by the percentage you specify.

    However, my window of dialogue has no custom scale option. I'm starting to wonder if this printer allows resizing. Any suggestions?  Thank you.

    I installed the driver, Officejet Pro 6830 and it allows resizing in Adobe Reader 11.0.10.  I suggest to update to the latest version of Adobe Reader.

  • Cannot resize the front panel

    I can't resize the front panel to a smaller window.  I put in (0,0) minimum window size, unchecked maintain proportions and to scale all objects.  I had originally put the size of the minimum window to 1012 x 616.  When I close the window property and re - open the settings still collated (0,0) while they are saved, but I am unable to reduce the size of window smaller than 1012 x 616.

    Also, there is open space on both sides in both dimensions, so I'm not running in the front panel objects.  What property/properties miss me that locks the minimum panel size?  One last thing is that I'm able to resize windows from any SubVIs I the same project and edit the minimum window size them and they respond as expected.

    Thank you

  • Cannot increase the font size on an epub

    I have an Acer Iconia A700 I have Aldiko Book Reader Premium installed & have loads of ePub files & similar.

    I read all of them, only one problem, with an authors books, the font size is small & I can't resize it.

    Someone told me to remove something that is called DRM? I don't know what it is or how to do & as seems to be part of a file, is it legal to remove this DRM?

    any help with this would be really appreciated, books I'm reading are some that I've waited so long for & the really tiny size of font property is spoiling the book for me :-(

    Thanks inn Advance

    Merry Christmas

    You should consult the program developer, Aldiko Book Reader Premium support.

    Also looks like there may be something in the way that the file is in the format that it prevents resize appropriately.  Maybe it's something that take you with the source of the file, regardless of the ebook seller you obtained the file from.

  • Resize the fixed size VMDK

    Im trying to resize a vmhd. I know that I have to convert it into a new vmhd to do. Ive been looking for a little while and got a good idea on how to do it, but something must be wrong in my syntax.

    Here's what I have.

    C:\Virtual Machines\VM1 > "c:\Program VMware Server\vmware - vdiskmanager.exe ', VM1.vmdk - r t 2 s 14 GB VM1_reduced.vmdk

    what I think is the syntax to convert a fixed disk of VM1.vmdk (t 2), size 14 GB, new name for VMDK

    but when I run, there is the original size which is about 16 GB. (Yes there is free space available in the host which is a windows Server 2003 OS)

    Any thoughts?

    Ahh... you can not reduce the defined maximum size of a virtual disk with vmware-vdiskmanager (or any other VMware tool, in fact).  You must create a new virtual disk and ghost/clone the existing drive, on another; then replace the original with the new disk in your virtual machine.

  • cannot resize the disk on a virtual machine

    Hello!

    I have a little problem, I can not resize the size of the disk on some of my virtual machines.

    I tried yesterday on two and worked well, tried to day (different vm) and it does not work so well for me.

    I first stop the virtual machine, rightklick, change the size to 20 GB, 4 GB and press OK.

    When I then rightklick on the virtual machine after pushing OK the size is always 4 GB (I don't mean in VI client for Windows).

    Why? workaround solution?

    Thnx for help.

  • Automatically resize the font size?

    Does anyone have an idea how auto made in excess of text in a text block fixed?

    I import a lot of languages in fixed text blocks and it's a pain to keep the resizing or scaling manually.

    Still, I was supplying any javascript or applescript which can do. The closest was "JET_AutoFitVertical.jsx", but this resizes the text blocks

    Cheers for any help

    I think I'd write better answer here. Because us write, post to Lionel. Maybe he won't receive that kind of...

    If you want to stop stop HrizontalScaling to 70% and scale of size, below...

    While (cntsLength! = visibleChar) {}
    If (vscale > 0.7) {}
    scalingWidth (TPCV, [vscale, 1]);
    } else {}
    scalingSize (slct);
    }
    visibleChar = getVisible (slct);
    vscale = stepNum vscale;
    }

    function scalingSize (txObj) {}
    for (var i = 0; i)<>
    txObj.paragraphs [i] .size = txObj.paragraphs [i] .size - 0.5;
    txObj.paragraphs [i] = txObj.paragraphs [i] .leading .leading - 0.25;
    Redraw();
    }
    }

    change the while loop. And to add a function. It provides leadership and size of sizing.
    But if contain different sizes in paragraphs, we add loop and set the properties of each characters.

    for example.
    function scalingSize (txObj) {}
    for (var i = 0; i)<>
    for (var j = 0; j)
    txObj.paragraphs [i] [j] .characters .size = txObj.paragraphs [i] [j] .characters .size-0.5
    txObj.paragraphs [i] [j] .characters .leading = txObj.paragraphs [i] [j] .characters .leading-0.5
    rerdraw();
    }
    }
    }

    and... You want to color.

    myColor = new CMYKColor;
    myColor .cyan = 0;
    myColor .magenta = 100;
    myColor .yellow = 60;
    .black myColor = 0;

    app.activeDocument.selection [0] .fillColor = myColor;

    Its very simple example of code to apply CMYK colors.
