I looked at some of the information on the use of passing Easy Transfer from XP to Win7, and confusing; so, I am confused and hope that someone out there knows the answers. (1) I downloaded the program and he ran; It seems to be different from what is in Wn7 and a tutorial: are they?  It simply shows the user files and shared are saved but does not show me what files.  And it doesn't seem to be any way to look at in the. MIG file to see what is there.  (2) after a new install of WIn7, ITI said to run Easy Transfer to restore files, but I don't see anything on how to do?  (3) in addition, each report I've read, but one said first do the restore and then install the necessary programs.  This seems to be doomed to failure; a program can create a nrew shirts, overwriting the data was placed in the same, old files.

  • It is possible to run Easy Transfer after upgrading to Win7 AND AFTER installs all applications?

Update of XP (32 bit) for Win 7 (64-bit).  Transfer easy on the old system and also saved.  Performed a clean install of Windows 7 without any problem.

The instructions say to upgrade Win7, then run to transfer, and THEN install the apps.  Well, I have not read the instructions and correctly installed Win7, installed applications and now need to execute the transfer.

That is problem?  It is even possible to run easy transfer now?  Should I reinstall all applications again?

(I'm not worried for the part 32-bit to 64-bit, I just included this info with full disclosure).

    Thank you
    brand

Thanks for the post brand.  the transfer is intended to capture data and the status of the user.  He didn't have much to do with the migration of the applications with the exception of the view that it is able to create a report that identifies what applications may need to be installed on the new machine.  in order to integrate the data of the machine inherited from the windows machine 7, we should have run the version of Windows 7 easy transfer on the Windows XP machine before recharging.

If we capture the data of the XP machine before reloading, then we can re-read the data at any time - even after that applications are installed

Here's hoping that you captured user data and the State with easy transfer before you wipe and reload.

  • Instructions for using Windows Easy Transfer from Vista computer to a new Windows 7 computer.

I bought a new computer today that works under Windows 7. The old computer is running Windows Vista 32 bi my new computer is a 64-bit Windows 7 computer. So dumb I didn't find instructions for using Windows Easy Transfer to transfer my files from the old computer to the new. I already have a USB data transfer cable and the disk that came with it does not work with Win 7 However with Windows Easy Transfer that wouldn't do not necessary anyway. So my need for Instructions bo accomplich the task.

I gathered al records original program that I need to install the necessary programs on the new computer.

Any help or URL available covering my needs transfer will be much appreciated.

Remails a question. My venus of cable data transfer with a disc Intelemover with Windows Easy Transfer is that the disc is no longer necessary with WET?

It has nothing to do with Windows Easy Transfer (Intellimover that is).

You can probably use the cable - if you wish.  I prefer to use a large external USB drive or share network - this way, that I have a copy of all that I could move to multiple computers or almost as a backup at low cost.

I am trying to run Microsoft Combat Flight Sim3 on Win7 64 bit. The program is installed, as well as the updates ACUpdate.exe and CFS3UpdateEng.exe, but when I click on the icon, I get, "the program cannot start because it could not find common.dll on the computer."

I found the solution on http://www.compilots.com/downloads/details.php?image_id=257. Download crack. Go to the default folder for MCFS3 under Program Files (x 86) /Microsoft Games / MCFS3 and move the file MCFS3.exe to a save location. Unzip the crack in the MCFS3 folder on drive C, right-click on the new .exe file and choose send to desktop as shortcut. You are in! Make sure that you have saved the original .exe file somewhere safe, it does not work for some.

  • I am trying to install windows 7 64 bit on my laptop. I have Vista 32 bit and 7 32 bit out there, but when I try to load the easy transfer from the dvd, he says it is not compatible.

I would agree with everything destroyed and, if there is a way to get windows 7 64 bit on my drive.  Transfer easily gets a «not compatible...» "answer, as does the dvd when you try to start it.

  • Easy transfer from XP and Windows 8

I have 8 year, computer with XP.  I just bought a new one with Windows 8.  Can I use Easy Transfer to transfer data?  Or is there another way?

Hello, can you confirm that this works for any level of SP in XP?  I had heard that it requires a minimum of XP SP2.  Thank you.

  • can I use easy transfer from Windows 7 to Windows Vista?

I'm moving my wife's laptop running Windows 7 to a desktop running Vista, I can't transfer easily to work just so I think that it might be impossible. Someone can tell me if it is possible to do or not?

You cannot use WET to transfer files from a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows to a running a 32-bit version, so make sure that both computers are running the same architecture.  I think you have to use version Vista of WET on both computers because Vista is the target computer.  Maybe that's a problem.  Microsoft has made many changes to WET for Windows 7.  All active links that I could find were to download the compatible version Windows 7 on XP and Vista and to transfers of these systems with a target of Windows 7.

  • Easy transfer from XP to Vista

I'm giving you a choice of two files to download for the transfer of my info from a computer running XP on a Vista computer.

    tfrcable or tfrcablex86.exe-x64.exe

    Which should I use?

On each Operatinng system, click on > start > right click on computer > properties > he'll tell you he bit what version you use.

Under XP, unless it says 64 bit, it's 32-bit (x 86) Version of XP.
