  Apex is a very good product, however is not a replacement for forms.  It can be used to replace Oracle Forms, but he will rewrite a complete application for most.  It will have benefits and drawback compared to Oracle Forms.  Oracle ADF tends to be a better match for Oracle Forms solutions.  That said, why did you choose to completely rewrite your old application Forms investment of 20 year?  Why not upgrade to forms the latest version which is 11.1.2.2.  With this new version, you can easily integrate with other product (Oracle and non-Oracle), take advantage of many new features and much more.  The main advantage for you (your organization), it's that you won't need to completely rewrite the code of your application.  It is quite simple to form 6 to 11.  Some minor code changes peut prove necessary, but most of the time you can move at will 11 version very little effort in most cases.  Many customers have upgraded to the latest version without changing code at all.

• cannot run reports in the menu forms

  A few hours I was able to run reports... in the menu forms but now when I try again, I get this message... its happens with all reports... all reports are working well in the generator

  It seems that you have changed your configuration file and now you are off course.

  Check it ' \orahome\reports\server\conf

  Open the file with the name of the report server and find

  Save and exit

  Restart your application server.

  If the paths are Okey, then make sure that this file exists in defind the path.

• Cannot start reports Oracle 10 g, Oracle Linux 6.4

  I am very new to this. As I have not found a community for the reports. If I am posting this here.

  I installed Oracle Developer 10 g. Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.4. I just want to open some RDF files. Donot need to connect to any DB.

  Now when I try to open the report generator, it gives the error below. Don't know what to do. Kindly help with this problem.

• Cannot run multiple firefox version 4 windows

  The problem after the upgrade to FF4 began to occur. In ver 3 I used the Profile Manager and was able to run 2 windows firefox at the same time without any problems on Windows 7.

  Now when I try to do this with version 4, a firefox window-error "firefox no longer works."

  I thought that this was due to an incompatibility add on or something, so I made a withdrawal of the full program, rebooted, cleaned the registry and deleted all the files that firefox on my system. The problem persists.

• Cannot run report because activexviewer.cab is blocked

  Win 7, IE9, or IE8, running is not serious.   I can run my report on an XP operating system. I've made all the adjustments in my Security tab. It says it has installed but always gets blocked!  Help!

  What I ended up doing is right-clicking on IE9 and run as administrator > Internet Options > advanced > check (scroll down to the Security section) "allow software to run or install even if the signature is not valid." Close the browser, re - open (run as administrator again) and run your report.
  Now, I know not everyone has administrator rights for their machines, but you may be able to configure the settings to allow this cab file to install and run as administrator for them. Give it a try.

• Cannot run the com.oracle.servicebus.plugin purpose

  I am trying to package an OSB 12 application, consisting of several projects with maven 3, with the plugin servicebus. I get this error:

  Cannot run com.oracle.servicebus.plugin:oracle goal-servicebus - plugin:12.1.3 - 0 - 0:package (by default-package) on SomeProject: failed to create the Service Bus Configuration Archive. See the log in the directory build for more information.

  But there is no more information in the newspaper, or e or x switches give me more info on what are supposed to give me a more talkative output. I know that plugin errors are like that but this servicebus plugin does not seem to be well documented, is there a way I could identify the exact cause?

  The commEnv.sh script (which runs along the way) affects the JAVA_HOME path does not exist if the variable JAVA_VENDOR is not defined.

  I was brutal and modified the commEnv.sh even though I guess that's not a file with that I should be playing. But it seems that these scopes are valid in scripts sh...

  I start to extract the data of Essbase to Oracle with Hyperion Essbase Data SQL with ReportScript LKM. But after 4 minutes process is stopped with the error:
  com.hyperion.odi.essbase.ODIEssbaseException: cannot run the report. Error (1042017) analytical server: network error: the client or the server timed out while waiting to receive data by using TCP/IP. Check the network connections.   We use the 11g r2, for 11g r2 reports this link http://: 9002/reports/rwservlet/showjobs? = RptSvr__asinst_1 server , so I can't see error detail.
