Cannot save as adobe PDF on mac

Hello, I can't save it as an Adobe PDF file from photoshop on the mac i. It keeps saying program error, is because I need to install a printer driver?

Hi rachelt,

Please upgrade your Photoshop to the latest version and then try. Open the application Desktop Creative > go to the App section > update Photoshop

Photoshop CC 2015.1.2 update now available

Let us know if that helps.

Kind regards

  • Save as Adobe PDF question, Mac OS Lion

Given that I've migrated to Lion (Mac OS 10.7.4) I get the error message of Automator:

"Year error occurred while save the PDF file."

I started from a blank disk installed and complete Lion.

I installed my Acrobat 9 Pro dvd. Step by step, I've updated to 9.5.1.

I have installed and updated all programs (and policies) of dvd or the website of the company.

I tried to save in Adobe PDF format in all installed programs (office, Mail, Safari, VectorWorks, NisusWriter,...): same error.

I fixed the permissions, I changed the permissions of read/write... Nothing helps.

Save to PDF (not acrobat) works without any problem.

I prefer to use Acrobat to generate the pdf files.

In the past, I have used Acrobat 9 Pro as a printer (10.5) and via save as Adobe PDF format (10.6) without any problem.

    Suggestions?

    Hello, Bryankvincent,

I did it again. I did exactly the same thing:

I erased from my hard drive. I installed Lion (again). I installed Acrobat (again). I did all the 19 updates, one by a (new).

    Now it's working. Phew.

  • "Save as Adobe PDF" missing from the dialog box print from Mac

I've just upgraded to a new machine, and the "Save as Adobe PDF" option is missing in the PDF menu in the print dialog.  I'm on Mac OS 10.8.3 and SC 6.  I think that Acrobat X is supposed to automatically install this option in the main print dialog box; What can I do to get it installed if he stays out of the initial CS6 displays?

I don't think that the Automator application is obsolete. It works for me on two computers that are running the latest version of Mac OS X 10.8.3 and Acrobat Pro XI. Maybe there is a problem with Acrobat X Pro and Mac OS X 10.8.3.

You can try to uninstall Acrobat X Pro and reinstall to see if the Automator application works.

Additionally, make sure that you update Acrobat X Pro to the last update.

  • Can't "Save as Adobe PDF" from the word

This week, the "Save as Adobe PDF" option has disappeared from my file menu of Word 2013. When I check the supplements, it shows that "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" is inactive. I am able to turn it back on, but once I close and re-open Word, it is disabled. Any suggestions on how to recover this option? I use Adobe Creative Cloud and Word 2013 on a PC, if that matters. Thank you!

    Hey JennieKeen,

Could you please let me know how you tried to disable Acrobat PDFMaker Addin.

You may need to open Word and click on file > Options > Add-Ins and select COM Add-ins under manage label.

Then, choose Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Add-in in the new dialog box that appears, and then click OK.

    Have you done the same?

    Let me know please.

    Kind regards

  • Log in to the necessary dialog box when we save in Adobe pdf to MS Word 2010. And PDFMaker error

We started getting this error when 'save us AS Pdf' for example, Microsoft Office Word and Excel 2010. Adobe Acrobat is personalized with the customization tool to provide licenses and activation and distributed with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012. The deployment has been working fine until that recently when I started to have some questions about that our users. I looked into this article: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-pdf-creation-cannot-continue.html but it seems outdated, so I can't follow.

Looks like you have a lot of 64-bit machines and did not update (11.0.0). Updates are needed for 64-bit and Office 2010 systems, I recall. I know Office 2013 certainly requires the update. Glad it worked for you, but now he must find a way to update all machines.

After you do as ~ Graffitti asked:

There Advanced > rights to allow the use of Adobe Reader.

If you get an error on that, you then need to Save the document under a new name
(assuming you are using Acrobat), and then do the:

There Advanced > rights to allow the use of Adobe Reader.

    Hope that helps! ~ JerseyGrrl

  • Parameters predefined Adobe PDF removed Mac today!

All of a sudden I can no longer export to PDF and select one of several preset PDF from Adobe.  This feature, which I use every day for many years, has simply disappeared this morning.  I worked with the support of 35 minutes to try to solve the problem, only to be told in other words has been deleted today and you want to print to a PostScript file and distill the file then.  What?  I lost half an hour with Support, downloading a file that has nothing, then they give me this BS workaround solution I already knew!   And export to PDF works always, just, without convenient presets, so even in charge has no idea what they are talking about.

Why wouldn't Adobe just told me they took the feature, instead of pretending they were going to help me and wasting my time.  I tried to get more information, but the person chat just me disconnected.  Arrrggghhhh!

The option to PRINT to PDF on mac was dead for several versions of Mac OS x, but it has nothing to do with presets or the ability to EXPORT to PDF. That the rep is stupid and should be fired.

Upgrading operating system may have harmful effects on installed software, especially the Adobe products and especially if you have an upgrade on the spot instead of a pure installed (which would require a new installation of the applications as well. You probably need to reinstall InDesign.

  • Cannot find the Adobe PDF printer

I'm trying to convert a Word document to PDF by right-clicking a Word document and it saying to convert to Adobe PDF. I get the error message "cannot find the printer 'Adobe PDF' or"Acrobat Distiller". You want to run the installer in repair mode? "I try to run the repair mode and it will work the repair mode, but nothing changes. Also, I used to have an Adobe tab in my Microsoft Word program, but it's over. All these problems started when I got a new computer that is running Windows 7. Any idea on how to solve this problem? Now I'll have to use PDF Complete, but I prefer to use my Adobe!

No, but you may need to do some work to get AA8 to work on your system. The first step is to update, currently in 8.3.1 (you have 8.0.0 that maybe your problem). AA8 is not certified for use on Win7, but several people have managed to make him run. However, you may encounter hickups sometimes even if it runs. In the meantime, try to open the document in WORD and print it on the Adobe PDF printer. If it works, you have at least one method of production.

The next step is to understand why PDF Maker does not work. To do this, open the document in WORD, and make sure that the Adobe menu appears. In WORD 2007, it will probably be the right most of the Acrobat named menu item (which is on my WORD 2007 with AA8 system, although this is a VISTA machine). If this menu does not appear, then the macro from Adobe in WORD must be enabled.

If the printer is not running, then the additional work is needed. Let us know what is the current state, and then we can go from there.

  • InDesign cannot find the Adobe Pdf printer when saving as a postscript file

    Hello

I'll print a brochure in a brochure. Therefore, I must save it as a PostScript file.

My problem is: when I go 'Print Settings' to get the right size of the pages, I can't find the printer that I used before "Adobe PDF". Instead, I have to choose a canon printer, which does not give me a format A3.

    How can I fix?

    See you soon

In OS X 10.7.3, the adobe pdf printer is not present so that you can have a wrkarounf to create the postscript file.

    (1) quit InDesign.
    2) navigate to Applications/Adobe Indesign CS5/Presets /.
    (3) in the Presets', folder create a file called PPDs (the name of the file is case-sensitive).
    (4) control - click on the following link and choose Save link under download the Acrobat 9 PPD:
    Acrobat 9 PPD
    (5) place a copy of the PPD downloaded into the folder created in step 3
    -After this restart the indesign.
Chose the printer 'Postscript file', then PPD as "Adobe PDF 9.0" and make the postscript file.»

  • HP 7600 series - cannot save scanned as PDF document

When I go to save the scanned document, I get this message "an error occurred registering the file because it could not be written in.  Check the properties of the file to ensure that it is not dead. "I found no way to the window to check the properties of HP.  However, the name of the file show up in my repertoire - but it is completely empty.  Use of aid, I finally understood how to get change permissions to a file while they were read & write.  However, when I returned the document scanned in HP and tried to save it again to see if it works and not give me the message, I got the new message, and he began to try to save the document again.  When I tried to cancel, he totally hung on it and I cannot do anything else.  I couldn't leave the program, and I could not either an option "force quit."  Also, I couldn't do a regular stop on my computer.  I had to make a forced stop.

I followed your instructions and I can now scan, save, and pull up a PDF file.  Thank you very much.

When I pointed out my printer under "printers and scanners" there no driver indicated clearly to the right of the line of 'Genre', so I guess that meant that I was OK.

In any case, it seems to work.  Thank you for your time and patience.

  • Cannot save a file PDF changed

I have Adobe Acrobat X Professional installed in Windows 7. I open a form in Acrobat. Then, when I fill the form and you are trying to re - register the document, I get the message "the document could not be saved. The file may be read-only or another user can open. Please save the document under a different name or in a different folder. »

Security of the file allows everyone to have full control. The location of the file is on my local hard drive.

My solution is to save it under a new name. So, I have to delete the original file and rename the new copy.

    Close the Windows Explorer (output).

Open the folder and just remove the Automator action if there are for Acrobat. And leave the only one in the system. Printing is a great thing system while in the system should work.

(don't remove any of them until see you if everything works

(Please note the information is given by an experienced user of Acrobat.) I'm not an Adobe employee).
