Cannot select folder when importing.

I have problems when importing.

I'm not able to select the destination folder from the drop-down list of the folder (down arrow), I have to go well as the selection upward link (arrow).

In all the training videos, I watch - they have all the drop folder as I expect.

What Miss me?

Hi Chris,

It seems to be a problem in your catalog. Just to test it please try to choose a different source location and also to pass to the method to import different (copy) to move and copy again to see if it works. Otherwise you should check with a new catalog to find out if the question is specifically in the catalog application it self.

Thank you

Opened a new site in a tab. Click on the bookmarks menu, then bookmark this Page. Window opens and I click on the file selection cursor. Displays the list of files, but I can't scroll or select any folder, so I click done and then go to all bookmarks and move the bookmark to the default folder to the one I wanted. Themes change does not seem to solve the problem, so it must be an internal matter of Firefox.

So hard to say. Two things that Safe Mode is you could try which are completely foreign to the modules:

    (1) disable graphics hardware acceleration

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

    (2) clear toolbar customizations

    (i) the folder settings personal (AKA Firefox profile)

Help > troubleshooting information > "view file" button.

(ii) switch back to Firefox and leave the program (for example, Firefox > exit or file > exit)

(iii) wait a few moments for Firefox complete update of the files in the settings folder, then rename localstore.rdf to something else, like localstore - bad.rdf or localstore.old.

(iv) you can restart Firefox now. If that did not help and you want to come back, your customizations, you can delete the localstore.rdf newly created and rename the back of an old man.

  • 5 Lightroom cannot copy files when importing catalog of PC

Try to merge my old catalog of PC in my recent one Mac.

I put two catalogs, then consolidated the PC catalog and media on an external drive of 3 USB (NTFS) - Catalogue Mac is on an external Firewire (Mac OS Extended journaled) drive. Two separate catalogues have been tested and were working with all accessible media.

I imported into the catalog from the catalog Mac and previews went well, and any catalog looks fine EXCEPT that almost none of the media has copied across (about 4500 photos worth!) some have, however, no idea why, or why not, in both cases. Received an error message that says that Lightroom was unable to copy some files.

I have so much manual cleanup, which took days, to do this without pain, I'm pretty empty such a simple thing has not worked.

Any idea, what could be wrong and how to clean up this mess without having to go through where everything manually again, please?

The problem sometimes is not the record you think Lightroom is writing the actual file that attempts to write to Lightroom.

First, confirm, glancing in Lightroom, the destination folder. Do not use where you think it's supposed to be written to.

Then change the permissions on this folder to WRITE (or read & write, everything he says)

  • Select table when import using Data Pump API

    Hello
Sorry for the trivial question, I export the data using Data Pump API, with the mode "TABLE".
If all the tables will be exported in a .dmp file.

So, my question is how to import a few tables using Data Pump API?, how to set the "TABLES" property as a command line interface?
can I use procedures DATA_FILTER?, if so how?

    Really thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Kahlil

    Hello

You should use the procedure of metadata_filter for the same thing.
    for example:

    dbms_datapump.metadata_filter
                (handle1
                 ,'NAME_EXPR'
                 ,'IN (''TABLE1'', '"TABLE2'')'
                );
    {code}

  • Lightroom CC 2015.7 / Camera Raw 9.7 / macOS Sierra - could not find the Destination folder during import

    Hello world

Sorry if this question is stupid, but I always imported files easily on my hard drive. But recently, since I've updated my Lightroom, I can't find the menu destination folder when importing photos.

I go in the menu library, choose IMPORT, select the original folder, the photos I want to import and then, on the right side, I only see the option 'create an intelligent Preview' and the option of keywords/tags. Where is the part that I could choose the destination folder - and even create subfolders?

If I click on the triangle in the lower left corner to minimize the menu, I can see the menu "create a subfolder. However, the normal display mode brings no option like that, but by selecting the main folder by clicking on the icon in the corner right-towards the top.

What Miss me? It seems not very practical for me.

    Cheers in advance!

The destination tab may have accidentally become hidden, next to one of the other header in the sidebar right and you click right there get a pop up that will allow you to restore it. See the screen capture.

  • How to select the photos I want to import in the import Windows 7 Wizard, and how to change their name to a group of the name custom when importing?

Has features missing from Windows XP in Windows 7?

I'm doing a simple import of photos using the option 'Import pictures and videos using Windows' native Autoplay.

In Windows XP, I could choose what images to import and give them all the basic name custom during the import process, with each photo added later with a "001", "002" etc using the scanner and Camera Wizard.  It is very convenient because it could have been hundreds of photos on some of my cards from a long period of shots, I could run the tool more than once for different groups of photos that I would choose Import, and the pictures would be get named sequentially and stored in their files you want immediately.  I imported thousands of photos in this way.

This new tool for Windows 7 allows me to add tags to all of the photos on the cards and devices and name photos after their date, or on the label, or other combinations of that... but why doesn't this new tool in Windows 7 suppose I want to import every single photo on the card device / I just connect and more that I want them all to have the same tag assigned to them?  It's stupid and useless - there, makes only has pictures of a theme on their card at any time that they connect to import their photos and always wants to import everything each time?

To illustrate this point, let's look at my current situation.  I'm just on vacation in Europe and took pictures to more than one place, I visited, of course and now I would like to mark photos with the location of the names individually... or even more, I would like to actually name photos when importing with the name of the place in the picture.  Scanner and digital camera Assistant & would do that, no problem - you just had to run the tool once for each different group name, then select the appropriate images to import with the same group name.  It has been easy.  This type of naming is far superior to the addition of tags to images named simple-list or date-wise because you can tell what the image file in your library that you want to open just by going to (or get) the group name.  Want to see pictures of St. Peter's Basilica?  If you named the photos with that (added with 001, 002 etc), then simply browse to that name in your folder of photos «The Italy, holiday 2010»  Without trying to find photos Tags into the sea by the name of "IMG20100324005" - soup and no program Photo Gallery Windows Live Photos or necessary Picasa.

This new program in Windows 7 for the import of images does not appear to be able to handle the very handy feature of its predecessor Windows XP.  It's very frustrating to have opted for the version of Windows newer and supposed to be 'better' but find several programs that have been very useful for XP have valuable features removed or are no longer present at all (like how Windows 7 is no longer a Clipboard Viewer - that has great idea that is?).

So is it possible to recover the image import feature I apparently lost by 'redevelopment' of Windows Windows 7?  I could of course go and buy an image import and edition program (Smart Photo Import very nice for the price, a quick search I just do), but as this feature was native in Windows XP it is still stupid to have to buy a 3rd party simply program now because Microsoft does not understand the idea of keeping popular features in their software and seems rather "he dumb down.

Any help to select the pictures I want to import and naming them when importing with a custom group name using the import wizard would be greatly appreciated... + 10 GB of photos and videos of this trip is sitting & waiting for a solution!

  • Cannot save a file to a selected folder

Cannot save a .pdf drawing created from 7.5 KeyCeator (package design) in a selected folder. When I hit "save under" a page opens that previously allowed me to select a folder to save in, but is now empty - before installing "DC", I had no problem. The only way I can save to a folder is to go to browse, select the file and 'Save' - if I don't finish the operation by opening the file to display the drawing he does not save anything!

If I create a document and convert it into a .pdf file I can go "save under" and it opens up the path.

I can re - install the previous version (it has been removed from my PC and I don't know what it was)

  • LR 4 and 4.1 can't create new folder manually when importing photos

    Windows 64, i7, 12 GB of RAM

I don't seem able to create a new folder manually when importing photos.  It still works fine on the same PC with LR3.6.  Anyone else seeing this?  Thank you.

    nonewfolder.jpg

Yes, I'm on Win7. I can get the result that you specify.  I right click on the folder name in LR and then choose "Create a new folder."  This shows the dialog box windows.  If I then right-click in the right pane and select new > folder, I get a new folder empty in the right pane and can type the name, then select this folder.  If, instead of click with the right button in the right pane, I try to type the name of the new folder in the bottom of the dialog box where it says "file:" then I get this error message. That's what I mean by saying that the process has changed slightly in the LR4.

  • I use Photos to make a schedule, and when I add national holidays and have a personal calendar already selected for the import, national holidays replace a personal date when the two entries in conflict.  Any suggestions?

I use Photos to make a schedule, and when I import two calendars of Mac, I can't play well together.  By example, if I add the national holiday calendar to a personal calendar already selected for the import, national holidays replacement a date personal when the two entries in conflict.  Users are allowed to several elements to show on a given date (I can add an article manually; and if I have two elements in a personal calendar, they both matter very well).  Does not seem serious if I import successively or simultaneously, the holidays always seem to prevail on personal items.  I am proud of my country, but want to avoid adding those who back in manually (and avoid having to check everything so closely).

    Any suggestions?  Thank you

    John

(running Yosemite on a mini 2015)

There is no way to have both separate schedules added and share a date.  Tell Apple what missing features you want restored or new features added in Photos via https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html.

You could create a new calendar with personal anniversaries and holidays.  I think that would be the case with the exception of those holidays that might change the date to when if fell, which is Memorial Day for one.
