cannot send links more

I've always been able to send a page link - but suddenly it has stopped working. A box just by asking to name me an application - but I use Yahoo Mail and always have. I tried to put through Options/Applications, but there is no application of ' mail to ' visible. I did not bring any changes to Firefox or Windows in the last days: total of mystery.
Any help appreciated.

I don't know if Firefox in private browsing mode running would have effect on this issue.

Note that your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.

The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-# .js files and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

  • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

I think you'd better ask Microsoft how people get their browsers to send a page. I just did with Internet explorer on Windows 7 without problem, even though I had a UAC prompt.

  • iOS 9.3 cannot open the links more on safari, mail, and other messengers

My Safari on iOS 9.2.1 (update: and now 9.3) will not open most of the links more, i.e. by typing on a link on a page does nothing. Worse, other applications like Messages, Chrome are problems when they try to open URL links.

The common question is breaks when you tapoterez links and even Mobile Safari press and hold (to get the app open a link in a new tab), the device will freeze and eventually crashes.

Unfortunately, this is a common problem.

Try turning off JavaScript under settings - Safari - Advanced.

  • 2016 Outlook for Mac, send emails more fails

    Dear Sir or Madam,

With Outlook 2016 on my Macbook Pro, I'm not able to send more than about 10 MB of attachments.  The program accepts multiple attachments of any size, but the transmission fails after trying for about 5 Min.  I get an error message (sorry, my OS is installed with the German):

"Ein auf dem Server ausgefuhrter wurde abgebrochen procedure.  Server der ist possibly hydraulic, die Serververbindung wurde abgebrochen, oder das Netzwerk ist ausgelastet. "(A process on the server has been abandoned.  The server may be overloaded, maybe the connection to the server was interrupted or the network is overloaded).

Then "Senden der nicht possible Email." (Cannot send email.)

    Then: Fehlercode:-1001.  (Error code - 1001).

I can receive emails with attachments of any size; with an old computer with Outlook, I can send attachments of any size using the same e-mail account; and the program of "Mail" Apple can send attachments of any size.

I use: Office 365 for Mac, Macbook Pro, El Capitan, Outlook 2016; e-mail account is POP3, T-Online.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening here?  Does anyone know where the Outlook preferences are stored and how to check or change?  I understand that it is possible to limit the size of the email in preferences, while the not to complain about the size, it can simply to send larger e-mails.

I am happy for any information you can give me.

Thanks for your reply. I also did some other research and found the add-on following which deals with this problem more directly:

  • Why file > Send link not working? Even do a right click on my mouse does not work. Is there any solution for this?

Why can I no longer send links to Web sites? By clicking on file > Send link does not work or right clicking on the mouse. Both worked before Firefox 6. I can also send emails to sites that don't specify their address, but to say "send an e-mail, click here. Everything works well in Chrome and Safari, but not in Firefox.

Could you check if your setting for mailto links has been deleted or become associated with an e-mail client that does not exist? Here's how:

    Firefox > Preferences > Applications

In the search box at the top of the list, type or paste mailto and make a pause so that the list is filtered.

If change the dropdown to the right column does not improve things (sometimes go to another provider, which, to return and put back OKing won't work), you may need to reset your application preferences. This article has more information on how to delete a file, Firefox will return to the default settings: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files#w_reset-download-actions-for-all-file-types

    Hello

My father is in the hospital and trying to help my mother to use the computer.

The hotmail and Yahoo are working very well.

I'm not a fan of the AOL software. Personally I would not use AOL as my Internet service provider. I only had a close encounter with the AOL software in recent years. Finally, the problem has been solved and it was not caused by the AOL software but he could have easily.

AOL has always provided a brand of software developed by others. Thus, they mark Outlook Express and all changed the menus etc then any that have a reasonable understanding of Outlook Express met with unnecessary difficulties trying to solve a problem. It was of course on a Windows XP platform.

With AOL, another problem is that they are slow to update their versions software brands and users to register on AOL in the retail stores are supplied with CD/DVD with versions to software. What I suggest you do is confirm with AOL that you have the latest version of their software for a Vista computer. When you ask pointed questions you get better answers.

The software for AOL email on a Vista platform is based on Windows Mail. Do not confuse Windows Mail with Windows Live Mail, which is part of the package available to you if you sign up for Windows Live Essentials. They are not the same.
    http://explore.live.com/Windows-Live-Essentials-system-requirements

I don't know how Windows Live Mail would work with AOL as Internet Service provider, change to unknown software in a difficult period for your mother could create problems when his thoughts are elsewhere.

My following link can provide a way to correct the problem. My hesitation is that you're dealing with a customized version. Before you try, it checks if there are messages in the Outbox.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/941090/en-GB

If the KB 941090 solution does not work, it may be that a solution that worked with Outlook Express might be interesting to try.

  • mail of the window; that can receive messages, but cannot send

Hi, I had to reboot my computer.  Run the vista program.  Had this problem before, but this time I'm stuck; updated windows all day but who still have problems.  That can receive messages, but cannot send and the internet works (it is a comcast account, talk to a comcast technician, he went through all the settings with me and said: this is a problem in microsoft).  Running an internet LAN setting but when you try to send an email dial-up pop box.  Tried to go in the e-mail properties to change the tab connection, but the program freezes.  Summer research on the microsoft Web site all day for a download fix. but they simply don't have the download button more.  Don't want to download "Windows Live".  Help please!

I got it going!   I deleted the e-mail account, and then re-installed and this time I wrote everything down.  I don't know why I had to remove it to make it work because everything I entered re - in has been the same as before.  Go figures.  Oh, just a note; This computer has no recovery disk.  Everything is facotry installed on this HP Pavilion Entertainment PC (Vista) THANKS for all the HELP WORLD!  It was greatly appreciated.
