  With the help of technical support NOR, I think we have found a solution. We uninstalled Labview from the computer. We have then reinstalled in the following order. 1 install the labview development environment in 2015. 2. install the real time module. 3. install the FPGA. 4 drivers CompactRIO. We installed these one at a time to make sure they were installed in the correct order, and it seems to have solved our problems. Thank you.

  Hi all

  I think I found a bug in LabVIEW 2012/NOR-RIO 12.0. If I import an Alias of e/s (shared variable) to a CSV file, with enabled scale but without units, I get "System Configuration OR: various failure (Hex 0x80004005)" during the deployment. If I gave the one variable, everything works the file.

  I had to deploy without units of e/s alias, do one of the following:

  • Create alias of e/s from the Project Explorer
  • Import the CSV file, open the properties of each variable dialog box, go to the page of scaling and click on 'OK '.

  This bug is quite a pain for projects that have a good number of i/o channels!

  I have attached a minimal test case. These are two CSV files containing almost identical settings for an Alias of IO. The difference is, test_bad contains a variable unit, test_good contains a variable of the Unit-ed. To reproduce:

  1. Download the material
  2. Import of test_good.csv in test_good.lvlib
  3. Import of test_bad.csv in test_bad.lvlib
  4. Deploy test_good.lvlib - must pass
  5. Deploy test_bad.lvlib - he must fail with Hex 0x80004005
  6. Open the properties of the variable dialog box in test_bad.lvlib, go to the page of scaling and click on 'OK '.
  7. Deploy test_bad.lvlib again - he has to succeed
  8. Export the test_bad.lvlib now-successful and re - import

• runtime error when you add a softmotion axis

  Hi all

  I am running labVIEW 2010 with the development softMotion, creating a compactRIO application module. When you try to add an axis softMotion in Project Explorer I get a window with the message "Microsoft Visual c ++ runtime library." Run the error! Program:... LabVIEW.exe' and labVIEW ends.

  I get the same message even when trying to look at coordinates spaces defined in softMotion examples or try to add coordinated spaces or softMotion tables.

  Anyone have any ideas on how to work around this problem?

• Internet Explorer 8 and cannot run the AXIS ActiveX camera controls in streaming videos

  While I can't verify this with certainty, it seems that since I upgraded to IE 8, I can run no longer videos using the camera AXIS ActiveX controls.  I get the error: "The AXIS ActiveX Camera Control, which allows to display live image streams in Microsoft Internet Explorer, can not be saved on your computer."  I checked under Tools-> Internet Options-> click the Security tab and then activated or has requested to be invited to everything related to the ActiveX and it does not clear the problem.  Oh and I'm running on XP.

  I have some relevant information that it is request that may be useful:

  Resource binding dialog box (NI SoftMotion)

  Configuration OR SoftMotion Axes (OR SoftMotion Module)

  Example that mentions of Nathan is the drive Stepper (9501) .lvproj (material Input and Output"Motion Control" NI SoftMotion"Device Specific" NI 950 x"OR 9501), I would take a peek at this on use of the UDVs.

• Cannot detect the limits of reverse front/market

  I have problems with the switches front and rear for my stepper motor system. When I created a NI Softmotion axis in Labview, no matter how to set limit switches, either appear as assets or both inactive, regardless of the position of the platform. I use for my end of race, photointerrupters. When I don't have the equipment under voltage, the photointerrupters works as expected and give a signal of 0 V when the platform is not the limit and V 5 beeps when the platform is at the limit. But when I try to use the Labview interactive panel (or in a VI elsewhere too) the limits are not detected and behave differently as well. I got a voltmeter connected to see how the tension behaved and pressure readings are odd. In a case when I tested the 'active' signal of each switch, was one of the limit switches to 6.7 V and the other was at 3.7 V, even if they had the same exact wiring and configuration. I'm completely stumped on how to connect these in the system so that they work or how to configure Labview to properly recognize these limits (meaning sourcing vs shipwreck and active State power). I searched the forums and manuals, but I can't seem to find a solution. Here are more details on the system:

  The engine is now a platform back and stepper motor is powered by a Kollmorgen P70530 stepper drive. To communicate between the command of stepper motors and the computer, I use a cRIO 9076 with a NI 9512 in the chassis. To connect the end of race in the system, I used the NI 9512 connection block 37 pins. Switch in the photo that I use is a strong GP1A05 CIPO Photointerrupter with connector. For this photointerrupter, there 3 pinout: a Vcc input (voltage source), a GND input and output Vout. The SCR is supposed to be connected to a source of 5V and GND to the mass (obviously) with resistance to pull-up between Vcc and Vout (I use a k 10 Ohm resistor as who has what has worked for me in the past with this specific photointerrupter). Vout is supposed to give a signal 5V, then the limit would be active and 0V when it is not active. How I had connected the photointerrupter to the connection block 37 pin was as follows: to the limit before, I had the VCC to pin 9 (+ 5V OUT), GND was on pin 3 (COM) and Vout was on pin 1 (before the deadline). For the inverse limit, I had the VCC to pin 9 (+ 5V OUT) GND was pine 24 (COM) and Vout was on pin 20 (inverse limit). I also tried to connect terminals GND the switch of the photo to the GND (shield) pin on the plate at terminals without success either. In regards to Labview, I am running Labview 2011 SP1 on my computer.

  If you have any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it if you would share that I am really confused with something that seems on the surface to be quite banal.

  I assume you have a power supply connect to Vsup and COM.

  Research on page 3-10 for sourcing of the shows without pullup resistance, have you tried remove the 10Kohm?

  But watching page A-3 for levels of limits, it shows<5V for="" low="" and="" 11-30v="" for="">

  I'm confused-pg 3-10 looks like the 9512 provides its own pullup still pg A-3 show the necessary voltages for entries.

  I hope someone can clarify this.

• Shared data varying variable published network write error

  In my project in real time, on the VI host running on my Windows PC, I try to write in a number of published network shared variables.  All these write operations are successful (which means that I can read them on the RT target, then a cRIO-9012), except for these shared variables network-published with data type defined as Variant.  I'm not sure what is causing the problem.

  I take the table of clusters shown here...

  

  .. .and going through one "in Variant' VI and then subsequently in writing to the shared variable (data type: Variant).  Diagnosis of the failure of the VI in real-time to read the data, I found that variable writing shared on the host VI produced the following error:

  Error - 2147467259 appeared to Variable shared in the PC host TTS CTRL.vi

  Possible reasons:

  LabVIEW: Unspecified error (Hex 0x80004005).
  =========================

  This error or warning occurred when writing the following shared Variable:

  .. where 128.144.90.143 is the IP address of the PC.

  I saw this post, and when I found myself with no other option, I have redefined the variables in question to the string data type and replaced all the "to variant" and "given Variant of ' functions with functions 'Flatten channel' and"The string Unflatten"respectively.  Initially, it did not work - functions "Chain Unflatten" would produce error 74, until I realized that the "data includes array or string of size? (T)"input on each 'string Unflatten" function must be set to FALSE. Wiring a constant false for each instance of "Unflatten to the string" seems to have corrected the problem.

  I have still no idea why wouldn t Variant.  Shared variables Editor allows to define a variant data type, so I guess it's supposed to?

  I made lot´s efforts to solve it, but no results, I am sure that the problem is not because of my program, I checked some differenet programs and the result is the same, I guess something happened to my computer RT or my OTR.

  por lo as he visto, el error tienes esta asociado has several things between las that include the version of LabVIEW, the led driver (OR-RIO) y el engine analysis. Para solucionarlo vamos a hacer back try cosas:

  1 - restore todo el software del cRIO.

  Ve Al para ello MAX > Configuration > remote systems > cRIO-9012 > software. Select software con el boton derecho y pincha sober Add/Remove programs. Desinstala todo el software del cRIO. When is reincie, boring the Operación para instalarlo. At the hora of seleccionar el software than dedicate instalar, marca NOR-RIO (my) x.x.x (ano). NO selecciones option OR-RIO x.x.x (my) (ano) with the help of the Scan Engine OR. Reinicia y vuelve a hacer el deploy para ver el error if ha notice.

  2 - Formatear el driver.

  In primer lugar, el Hay mover DIP Switch led driver safe MODE has the position IT. Ve al MAX, select el cRIO-90xx con el boton derecho y Select format the drive. Once formatted el driver y reiniciado, dale the IP y subred used mascara y reinstal todo el software según lo descrito en el paso anterior (Scan SIN motor mount).   You can't have multiple modal dialog boxes running at once. ScriptUI dialog box is modal and therefore your transformation function. What you can do for this example is move the transformation according to the dlg.show (); line.

  Photoshop has a "palette" window, but because it is modeless is really only useful to the progressbars or other messages "Please wait". For the example you posted if it were a script palette would not stop at dlg.show () and wait for the user to do something. He would try to run the following line and, not finding any, stops. At best you would only see the flash window before the script completed.

(In addition, it does me not the possibility not to format the drive.)  Very frustrating...

  Hi iamkira,

  This problem can be caused by a conflict with other programs installed on your computer, usually antivirus software. Follow the steps described in this document to create the drive in a clean boot state.

  I think the problem is that the path you specify is invalid for a goal of RT. On the RT, the 'path' should just be the name of the inspection. If you look at help for the VI open Inspection, it says to use the get target Inpections VI to see what paths for all controls are... sometimes the path is a name of numbers subsequent, though it may not be what you think.
