• Cannot update to Lightroom.

  I get an error that previous installation .msi is not found.  Same error if I try to uninstall.  Hard drive crash / corruption was probably the cause for the installation package folder lost.  I have Setup .exe for the previous version, but that is not reinstall.  Hard drive has been replaced with SSD and upgraded to Windows 10 64-bit (Win 8.1 64 bit previously).  A ran chkdsk /f /r /x before cloning the old disc to the SSD drive and upgrade to Windows 10.  Anyway to go beyond what the new Lightroom 5 installation and then upgrade?

  Thanks for your help.  I tried the suggestion of two last sent by Mohit, but since both asked that you uninstall as their first step, nor could be performed as indicated.  I did what was suggested, at least as much as I could, remove system files, evidence of Lightroom, but even after that I couldn't install the upgrade.  He continued to search for the store setup for the previous version.  So I ended up doing as I have suggested, I searched the registry and delete most of the keys and values (components registered on the left), referred to by Lightroom 5.4.  Once I did this and rebooted, I managed to install the version 5.7.1 entering license keys of software for the version 4 & 5.

  Using a Mac OSX updated 10.9.5, to update to the latest update of Lightroom, now get error - Lightroom met permission issues. Click on fix - cannot fix.   Please make sure that you gave permission for the folders listed in the article, follow these steps.

  1 - give read and write permissions for the Application Support folder and preferably on User Library and the secret library.

  2 - Add user and admin both permissions.

  When you open the Get Info option for specific folder.

  Make sure you click on '+' symbol, it will open the list of user accounts. Add currently logged in user account and Director of user account, if it is not added.

  Both must have read and write to prevent access these some questions in the future.

  Important:

  Once you added as currently logged on user account and administrator user accounts and provided access for reading and writing.

  Make sure you click on the gear icon and select apply to closed.

  Lock dialog box and close the Get Info .

  So that all the folders in the folder Adobe will get read and write access.

  Vk2mh looks that the download was not complete or corrupt.  When you download the update from?  Have you tried to download it again?
