Cannot write to the shared folder in secure workspace

Hello

I'm working on an application that writes to a debug log file in the shared documents folder. I use blackberry.io to get the path of the file as follows

fs.root.getFile(blackberry.io.shared + '/documents/debug.txt', {create: true}, this._handleFileRead, this._handleError);

Make sure I have "unsandbox" first by going to: blackberry.io.sandbox = false; According to the API.

When I deploy the application on personal space, it works very well. When I deploy the application through the BES10 to the workspace and then I get a NO_MODIFICATION_ALLOWED_ERR trying to get/create the file...

Note: If I try to create the file in my sandbox it works well in both areas.

Hi Georgechr,

The error message indicates that your application doesn't have write access to the shared directory.

FYI, the shared folder of the workspace is located here:

Accounts/1000-Enterprise/Shared

While the shared personal folder is located here:

/ accounts/1000/shared

First, we will ensure that blackberry.io.shared actually point to the shared folder of the workspace. Print (console.log ()) its results and attach to your response.

An application which is installed within the perimeter of work can store data in the work and personal spaces as long as the following it policy is the value allow on BES:

Security-> App work access to the personal data

Kind regards

A.

  • CANNOT write to files in the shared folder of XP on a PC running windows 7 - but good vice versa

I have a laptop under Windows 7 (SP1) and a desktop running XP (SP3).  I have connected both via a wireless network. While I can see and access shared files/folders from one computer to the other computer, I can only read/write files in the shared folder on the portable computer that is running Windows 7.

If I try and change a file in the shared folder from the PC under XP on my laptop, I get the message "this file is set to read-only. Try again with a different name "."  I know that the file is NOT checked for read-only. When I change the name of the file I get the error message "\\Desktop\SharedDocs\filename.doc you are not allowed to save in this location. Contact the administrator for approval.  You want to save in the folder my documents instead? "If I save the file to another location on the laptop under Win7 it save then OK.  I can not just save a modified version of the file in the same shared folder from desktop running XP.
It seems that it must be something to do with permissions and access to the parameters of the desktop running XP but I can not find these. Fairly easy to find in Windows 7.
Finally, I don't have a login/password set for the connection to the computer to Office XP.  I don't have a user name and password for the laptop Win7 but you have turned off password protected sharing.
Anyone have a solution to this?
    Thank you

OK - the problem is now resolved.

I noticed that the read-only for the shared folder has been checked. When I unchecked it and also checked the box "allow network users to change my files" in the shared folder properties/sharing, I was able to modify and save files in the shared folder on my laptop.
It's a little weird because I thought I had done this the other day where the results have been less successful.  Strange.
    Thanks for your help.

  • I want to prevent the use of the login and password of CentOS 6.5 to the shared folder Windows 7

Recently, I lost my hard drive Windows 7 Pro to crash and had to rebuild the laptop from scratch. I have set up the laptop to share files on the local network with XP, Vista, and CentOS 6.5 PC. The file sharing (without need of login/password) with all PC work with one exception.

When you use the 'of' the CentOS PC file manager to access the shared folder on Windows 7, I am invited with login/domain/password popup box. I enter the credentials and everything works well. And I have to do it once. The same user name exists on all PCs. But I think the connections via file sharing simply under "guest" or "annonimus. The race of Samba (SMB) of the computer of CentOS version is version 3.6.9. I have tried so many combinations of solutions and none seem to work. See the list below:

    Windows:
    Edit local security policies
Remove the TransportBindName (then add back)
Set UseNewSmb = 0, then returns to 1

    Samba:
security = share and then I tried security = user
client NTLMv2 auth = Yes and return to no.
NTLM auth = none and return to Yes

I am hoping there is a configuration that will prvent the annoying popup login/password.

  • SQL Lite: Cannot write into the error of database readonly on release on appworld sandbox

    Hello

everything was workin find in development mode, but when I downloaded and run my app from appworld sandbox I get the following error:

    SQLLite:

"Cannot write to readonly database error"

    Thanks in advance...

It is a database in your application / folder (i.e. comes your file .bar automatically during the installation)?

You should not write in the app / folder in your application. This can be done in development mode, but it is intended only as a convenience for certain types of deployment of debugging (if you do not have to copy all the files on each time you make a change).

If you have data in your application, what needs to be changed after the installation, it must be copied into the app. / data folder when the application first runs (or, at least, when it must first change).

  • Setup cannot write to the destination file

I try to install software on Windows 7 that has always worked well in XP and earlier versions of Windows.  When I run the Setup on Windows 7 routine, I get:

Setup cannot write to the destination file "C:\Program Files\Pandawave\WorldCal.exe"

Can someone tell me how to deal with this?  It seems to be a security problem, but I have no idea what to do about it.

    Thank you

    Dan Schwartz, Tallahassee, Florida

It is a restriction of the UAC (User Account Control). Right click on the shortcut of installation, and then click "Run as Administrator" line to work around.

  • Applications cannot write to the users directory

Applications have lost administrative privileges. They were OK but now windows live mail cannot create a message, acrobat cannot create temporary files and quark is not yet open. All the same problem, cannot write to the folder "users". When I turn off UAC, all right. I don't want to disable it permanently. I want to diagnose the problem and difficulty so I can restore UAC

This smells like a folder authorization number. I would check the permissions for the temp and the WLM, using Windows Explorer folder. Here's how you can find their names:

    For the Temp folder:
    1. click on the globe to start, and then type the three letters cmd in the search box and press ENTER.
    2. Enter the following command and press ENTER:
    Set temp
    For the WLM folder:
    1. open WLM
    2. click on Tools / Options / Advanced / Maintenance / Shop folder
Windows updates or AVG updates are extremely likely to be behind this problem, if this is because you would have heard about it a long time ago. I suspect that malware error or a user.

    Thank you!

The reason for the volume of FAT is, I couldn't figure out how to format an NTFS volume on openSUSE, it is not a choice in YaST. If you know please tell me.

I remember one of the reasons for a FAT volume would be if it is an external hard drive that you want to move easily between Windows and Linux physical machines.    Except that the use of a system log file would be preferable.

Given that you use linux on your host you don't want to use the NTFS system.  You do not want to use whatever your favorite linux file system.

If I can ask a few questions on Samba:

    1. I need Linux and MS Windows clients to use the files. Samba will allow this?

Yes.  Samba is a port of linux to the MS Windows file sharing protocol (also known as CIFS).

2 - I installed on the correct host operating system?

Yes.  Well, actually, you install the Samba server on your Linux server that has the big drive attached to it, and you install the Samba client on all the linux machines that you want to access the server on the network.     Windows machines have built-in support for talking to Samba servers.

    3. If I change the volume to say ext3, I can point to her Samba? Windows clients will read the files via Samba, not volume, correct?

Only the Server machine must be able to understand the file system on the volume.  Clients that connect to the server will access the files on the volume via the CIFS protocol.

    4. you get an easy to follow guide to installation of Samba, on openSUSE 11.1?

No, sorry.  In recent years I have implemented a Samba server.

5 If the server on openSUSE 11.1 host, is a client to install on guests or guests can see just the Samba server?

Many (most) Linux installs these days already include the package samba in the basic installation.  I think that the customer is called "smbclient".  If your linux system has not already installed Samba, the linux distrubutions most include Samba in their package system.

  • Sync Center gets stuck saying "pending sync", never synchronizes the files on the shared folder offline

    Hello

I have a laptop (Compaq 8440) running Windows Vista Enterprise (not yet upgraded to SP1).  I have a shared folder mapped to the N: drive on my laptop.  This shared folder is located on a computer on my home network.  Every day, I move my laptop between my home network (wireless) and my work network (cable intranet).

I scored a subfolder in the shared folder available offline.  It worked for about two weeks, but now when I try to synchronize with the shared folder offline files, Sync Center has constantly "waiting for synchronization" status  He never goes out with synchronization, regardless how long wait.

I tried clicking "stop"button in Sync Center, but this does not prevent the synchronization.  I do not see error messages or the situation in Sync Center.

I tried to restart the laptop, but nothing helped.  I tried to disable/reactivate the wireless connection, but nothing helped.  I can connect to the shared folder and discovers the other directories that are not 'available offline", is not a connectivity problem.

    Thank you
