8.6.1 HELP and TOOLS-> OPTIONS does not

Hi, after installing 8.6.1 I am not able to access using any function except on the functions of the package tools.  The help context works, but there is no detailed help (with the exception of the Toolbox functions).  If I access it using LabVIEW, the window displays the tree on the right, but when I click on any of the elements without help appears in the right window.

Also when I click on tools-> options \_launchhelp.vi which he never finds he's looking for, so I can't change the options of LabVIEW is.

I installed using the DVD Developer Suite, I don't think that there is an explicit option to select Help.  I have installed at D:\program files, would it be a problem if you do not install in C:?

I uninstalled previous versions before installing 8.6.1.

Any ideas?

Hello

It seems that you are installing to corrupt and to a certain extent.

You can repair you are setup by going to: Control Panel-> software-> of National Instruments. Then you get a dialog box in which you can select LabVIEW 8.6.1 and REPAIR.

If it still does not work, you can always contact your local sales office for support.

  • tools/options does not work

    I recently changed internet providers and have had trouble with firefox. I have uninstalled then reinstalled version 6.02, it worked well before, but now I can't use the Tools/Options at all. I'm going into it to change the settings and can't check boxes, none are checked, and when I click any of all the entry has a dotted line around it, but will not check. Please help as I do not know how secure it is now... Thanks in advance

    Windows cannot find 'helpctr.exe.  Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again.  To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search.

  • Show hidden files and folders option does not

    I'm trying to access a hidden folder, C:\programdata\... I can't see it in Explorer. When I go into control panel > folder options > discovers... the option box to display hidden files and folders is already selected.

    I tried to change this option to not display hidden files and folders by selecting the radio button, and then clicking on apply. Then I exit the menu display. However, when I return to the menu display the radio button beside display hidden files. That is to say it is not "saved" change.

    I changed other elements in the advanced example view menu Hide extensions of known file types, and it works very well.

    When I right click on any of the tools with a small arrow in the corner to open tools/options nothing opens: I can't open other tools of pen for example.

    I bought adobe creative suite 6 master collection and this feature works well in Photoshop, but it works the NTDB in Illustrator.

    (I admit I am new to Illustrator, but I know it should work in the same way as the PS but somehow, it's not)

    Ok. So let me answer my own question. Firefox is the culprit. Sounds strange, but once I left Firefox 23.0.1 these shortcuts started working again. Also note that the Cmd - SPACEBAR to switch to the loupe does not work. It is now. Problem solved.

    Startup of the service or re-registration a file sometimes solves it. Open a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type services.msc and press ENTER. Scroll down to help and Support, and then double-click it. Click on the Start button in the dialog box and change the type to automatic startup.

    In a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type regsvr32 hhctrl.ocx (note the space) and press ENTER.
