Capabilities of computer slave Windows 7
How can I reach a machine version of windows earlier than a Windows 7 system that is connected to the internet through a router? The oldest machine must not be connected to the internet, but need wireless access to printers and scanners?
Your local network will have its own range of address normally 192.168.X.Y of two X values will be common to all PC, but may depend on how the router is configured, there could be anything 1-254.
Normally this address will be assigned by the router as well as a value known as the default gateway. This indicates that the PC when it wants to connect to a location outside your network (internet for example) to go to this gateway to connect routers that is.
If you set the default gateway to another address then the PC can no longer connect to the internet but will still be able to see all local devices.
For example. If the DHCP active values are:
IP address: 192.168.0.32
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS server: 192.168.0.1
To assign manually:
IP address: 192.168.0.192
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 127.0.0.1
DNS server: 192.168.0.1
This will allow the PC to always resolve (DNS) addresses if you do not have to wait for delays to occur, but connect to itself (127...) trying to access the internet so will fail. Nothing else on the local network can always be connected to.

I am hving wrong when I try to sync (Tungsten E2) to my computer. My computer has Windows 7. Anyone know a solution for this problem?
Probably, the problem is that you have a 64-bit version of Win7.
At the top of the list of the messages in this section, you will find a title "64-bit Windows USB drivers for Palm Desktop."
Please read this post and follow the directions to install the drivers of the company Aceeca.

My appleTV 2 see no room for my computer. WIndow 7. ATT Uverse router 5031NV-030 firmware10.5.1.525917 - att. I have the latest firmware on everything. I tried turning point/disable ipV6, run as administrator, disable firewall... etc I tried everything. He used to work on Window Vista and a few old iTunes. I've updated to iTune and move to Uverse. It has stopped working. I thought the problem was iTunes so I've updated to the latest version of iTunes in Vista, then update to Vista and then install Windows 7 and then last iTune on Windows 7... I now have everything that the most recent and it still does not work. I have not the firmware on my router can be updated, but I think it's fairly new
There may be a setting on your router you can disable IPv6. Try this and also disable IPv6 on your NIC again.

I have an old computer and I just want to access it without connecting to the internet, but I can't get in as it says I need a password. It was my mother's old computer and there is no password, why am I being asked to an entry?
Is there anyway that I can get this deleted or go around it somehow. The computer has Windows 2000 on it, so I know that there is no support. Is there something else I can do?

I have an old edition of Me of the Millennium, I know its as old as its sounds. I need to know if I can upgrade my computer using Windows 7

Unfortunately, it is not possible to upgrade directly from Windows Millennium Edition to Windows 7.
You must install Windows 7 as a new copy on the system.
I suggest you refer to the link for more information on the operating instructions below to buy and install Windows 7 on the system.

When I start computer a window opens opimize the registry failed
Hi Harry,.
Looks like you have some program registry installed and programmed to run at startup, which does not work. I suggest we identify and remove the boot and then remove it totally from the system (uninstall). Registry modification programs are generally risky, rarely do much good, can cause great harm and are not really necessary as Windows does a good job of managing the registry on its own.
Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once don't forget to reset your operating system to normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.
Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here. A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Chess Titans freezes computer with Windows 7
Upgrade to new computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and everything seems to work fine except the game Chess Titans in the beam of Microsoft games. When you run this game, the display shows the program splash screen and then displays a black screen in and out; and freezes the computer how far I have to restart. It actaully has worked well when I had Windows Vista, it just started to have problems of the the intall of Windows 7. Also I don't have the most current version of Directx 11. I would really apreciate if someone can give me input on how to solve this problem.
Hi Swinget,
After the upgrade to Windows 7, I recommend you update the drivers for the graphics card, this could be a problem with drivers for the graphics card, follow these steps to update the drivers:
1. click on Start.
2. enter Device Manager to launch the search.
3. expand display adapter in the Device Manager window.
4. right click on the device.
5. click on Properties.
6. click on Driver tab.
7. click on update drivers.
8. click on OK.Check if the exclamation points are displayed with the device. The exclamation point indicates a problem with the installed driver.
See the link for update drivers: update a hardware driver that is not working properly: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work properly
Even if the update of drivers does not help, I would say that uninstall you and reinstall the Windows feature set could solve the problem.
1. click on Start.
2. type Optionalfeatures.exe search.
3. click on the symbol + for games for Windows features.
4. uncheck the Chess Titans.
5. click on OK.
6. now restart the computer.
7. follow step 1 to 3 of the .
8. put a checkmark for Chess Titans.
9. click on OK.Give it a try with the above steps and check if you are able to play the game without freeze him more.
