Captain el slow safari; EtreCheck rep.av, webcontent Boggs CPU & mem.

V. slow down Safari on Mac Mini, 8 GB, OS X El captain;

'cam.apple.Webkit.Webcontent close unexpectedly' a few times.

Activity Monitor shows:

Networking of Safari, Safari database content, Safari,

See the auxiliary bridge and Mail Web Content (when the is turned on) and com.apple.dock.extra,

more multiple (~ 20) Safari Web content when Safari is enabled.

all with a previous icon, a light shield icon.

With Safari and Mail out, nothing but the process of com.apple.dock.extra (with the light shield).

Remove history, cache, cookies and plug-ins allows momentarily, but

for example, story filled almost immediately with a few addresses very old...

After 1/2 day Safari open (but not very busy with 2 windows & no open tabs).

When you try to load a window, the message arrived:

"Some pages do not react.  To visit the Web page selected, 21 Web pages in other tabs and windows must be force reloaded.  You want to return to this page? »

Didn't go for it, as the process would have taken a long time and most likely

fail anyway.

Which means the light icon, as I suppose it's part of the problem with

multi-page Web of Safari, staying in the background, and how can I solve the problem?

I followed dominic23, Nov1, 2015 APSleep response, produced the report of EtreCheck.

showing that com.apple.Webkit.WebContent is hogging CPU and memory.

How to get out this predicament.

Please post the entire production of Etrecheck by using copy and paste.

If you synchronize Safari via iCloud, try disabling the synchronization, then clear history and then check if history recharge as you have posted above.

  • Beachballing computer and slow performance EtreCheck included

    Hey guys!
First of all, I would like to thank all of you who can answer, help much appreciated!

I waited until that servers are not overloaded with first time Uploaders (approximately 1 week of release) to download El Capitan, so it would not take years to download it from overloaded servers, I started noticing after awhile my super zippy early 2015 13 "MacBook Pro slow down. (I5 2.7 GHz, 16 GB RAM, certified re-machined, purchased July 2015)

This is particularly visible in switching applications.

Thanks again for any help! Heres the system check.

Contentwatch is a program called NetNanny which restricts the content inappropriate on the interwebs. Just thought I would add that before asking several people.

  • Very slow Safari on iMac?

I'm under 10.10.5 - OX Yosemite because it crashes if I try to update.  I have an antivirus program on it, and I suspect that is the problem?  I often force enough Safari... especially on FaceBook.  I got a virus - or so he says... My memory has enough space to update but I'm afraid to because I get the white screen of death... and it does nothing most of the time without AppleCare to restart.  It seems that to download the update.  No idea why Safari is so strange?  Also how I could go about update without completely losing my computer? Of course, I could use help - thanks in advance!

ALL (without exception) anti-virus program will significantly degrade the performance of Mac and many will be specifically will interrupt the Safari. Some may some security for online banking packages.

Also uninstall the antivirus software. There are no viruses that can attack Mac.OS X. For example, anti-virus programs are selling a cure for a disease that does not exist. And they are known for the Mac was systems. Look for an uninstall program or visit their website for the instructions to uninstall.

Not sure on the message, try to boot intoSafe Mode and see if it works in Mode without failure.

    Restart now ' shift '.

(Wait to take more time to start in this way because it runs a check of directory first.)

  • Yes, another question regarding the freezing of Safari - EtreCheck report included

Yes, another question regarding the freezing of Safari.

From a little over a month (I think), Safari started freezing regularly whenever I want to open new tabs or switch between tabs. I found myself to leave the program several times per day / hour. I can't identify any specific common cause (other than my MacBook being old) or any new software or updates that might have initiated the question. At first I thought he might have many tabs, I tried to open, but recently it happens even with only a few tabs open.

I worked through the steps I found in this forum and others: empty the cache, start in safe mode, etc nothing works.

Based on the previous suggestions, I have downloaded and run EntreReport which I included below. The note and maybe just a distraction, but EntreReport has crashed three times tonight, before he was able to produce the sub report. I ran the report after restarting my system with no other programs running.

Suggestions are welcome at this stage because I want to start using Chrome or Firefox because I like the transfer procedure between my devices.

    Thank you in advance.

    Ben

  • Slow Safari and Firefox ping

    Hi all

I use Safari 9.1 than my normal browser and OS X on a MacBook Pro late 2013 10.11.4.

I tested my internet speed (speedtest.net) on all devices and noticed that my 6s iPhone and iPad 2 air both iOS 9.3.1 (speedtest.net app) had a ping of less than a third of that of the MacBook Pro.

Then I tried Google Chrome 49.0.2623.112 (64-bit) and the speed is as fast as with iOS devices. Then I went 45.0.2 Firefox and it was as slow as Safari again.

For the last test, I disabled all extensions in Safari, but has not made a difference.

Is there a setting to speed up Safari on OS X, his counterparts of iOS? I would rather not use Chrome on battery because I lose an hour of battery time.

Thank you all for your help.

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - activate the menu to develop it, then go ahead and empty Caches. Quit/relaunch Safari and test. What do you see in the activity monitor to suggest that the RAM is fine?

The EtreCheck report shows that you have only 33MB of free RAM in time, which can only cause slowdowns. Google Chrome only takes 1.3 GB of it. Chrome is a Devourer of enormous resources, so if possible, try to quit smoking by using another browser.

  • Why is so slow Safari and does not block pop-ups?

Just typing this message was an exercise in patience.  I constantly get the bouncing ball waiting to continue typing.

My Prefs 'Block Windows blocker' checked and yet, any Web site I visit, I constantly put in place with the videos pop up.  This behavior happened in the last months.

    I use V9.1.2 (11601.7.7).

    Thank you.

OK, I went through the suggestion of TextWrangler and found that my code was exactly the dough - in host code, so I just left it as it was.  Also, I followed the suggestion of Wacom driver and deleted my Wacom tablet driver for good measure.

    Bottom line

I think I see a slight improvement, but as I started to type this post I once more facing the bouncing ball and wait to continue typing.  On the pages Web that are long Safari blocks always upwards, but not as bad as it was before the removal of the driver.  Other tests of page Web reveals that the pages will continue to freeze without getting the bouncing ball.

It's all very annoying and I am not sure that I made real improvements to this problem.  Time will tell, I guess.

    Thank you!

  • REP-0065: memory virtual system error REP-0200: cannot allocate enough mem

HI I am facing this error for some time.

I don't know how to rectify.
For my report, I use like 7 ref Cursor in the database for the output data. It's been a while that I am facing this error.

I tried several ways to modify my code, but still get this error. When I replace all the code in the RDF itself, then its running fine without any problem.
I just got stuck with this report. I totally missed ideas to solve this error.

If you have an idea about this error please let me know.

I need to do on the database side. don't know wat to do.

Thanks for posting the solution as soon as POSSIBLE, I must present. I the crazy.

    I use oracle 10g Builder. (10.1.2.0)

    Quick search on Metalink returns:
    * [430044.1 ID] reports 10g with a Ref Cursor in Windows platform fails with the error of system virtual memory 200 REP and REP-65 *.
The solution in this document invites you to apply two patches:
    One-off patch 4505133
    One-off patch 5634746

  • Windows Media Player slows, becomes unstable and uses 100% of CPU.

Occurs when you try to play movies at home on high reso; IPPC and AVCHD.  Has worked fine for months, then started recently.  The same movies play fine on other computers with a lot less performance (CPU, RAM, video card).

    Hello

    ·          What is the version of the operating system running on your computer?

    ·          When the issue started?

If you use Windows 7, try the following steps:

Step 1: Launch the Media Player troubleshooting utility.

  • Safari issues: (slow) search, (slow) tab

(I know there are discussions on the 'Slow Safari' theme, but it does not seem to mention the exact problem, I have experience.) Please let know me if I should delete this discussion for this)

Hello. I dealt with this problem for the last month. Here's my problem and what I did:

When I type 'New tab' in Safari, it takes forever (5-10 seconds) until the tab appears.

When I click in the address bar (were I search in Google and put into the site, I want to go to the) I takes forever (5-10 seconds) before I can write something.

So, what made a person with experience of the computer (I have a lot of experience of Windows. ('New' on OS X)? Uninstall the program (Safari) and re-install. But it does not work under OS X I have re-installed OS X El Capitan. The problem has been solved, Safari was fast again. But, the next day, same problem. First I thought it was a car (because this is the program ONLY I had installed other than the pre-installed applications). But it wasn't a disc. Then I if it were my installation of Bootcamp (had no idea why, but why not try some remove), so I formatted the drive around and re-installed OS X El Capitan again. Safari worked flawlessly, I could install a player, always worked perfectly.

SO: When I got to my work and installed the printer I use, Safari was slow again (as described above). It is not sensible, but after I installed this printer, Safari was slow and train again. Go figure!

And YES: I tried all, delete this and delete this (cache, history, cookies, off iCloud for Safari, disabled the settings in 'search', deleted several files in the library and system as suggested no multiple sites). He done for me...

I don't want to change the browser, because I really like the Safari and it connects to my iPhone and iPad. Can anyone help?
