  As you find different error codes, the best way to solve this problem would be to do a restore of the system on your computer. Choose a restore point when it was working fine.

  a. Click Start, type system restore in the search box and then in the list click on the system restore program.

  b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

  (c) in the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.

  d. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

  e. click Finish.

  I've been away from home - where I HSI and it works very well - for a few months, I plugged to the network sporadically awireless (sometimes just bad signal), with a lot of frustration.  A few days ago, I went to a place where I could connect to a hard (secure) wireless network and enjoyed the smooth navigation for about an hour.  Later when I tried to connect to the smaller network, unsecure, I couldn't open my network and sharing Center. Whether from the drawer or the Control Panel, a screen opens displaying nothing, but the circle of rotation.  The TASK MANAGER IS REQUIRED to CLOSE THE PAGE - it will not answer the close box. TM shows the centre network and sharing as 'running', although there is no indication on the screen, except the title and the circle of rotation.

  My laptop is a dv6t Pavilion with Windows 7 (64-bit)

  All the other files in the Panel seem to open and operate normally.

  I understand the network and sharing Center will not be open. I will do my best to help you! If please launch and center network and sharing, and wait for him so that he can provide an error.   That the last 3 letters represent the format of the video file. If the format is NOT supported by WLMM, he won't play it.

  I am running windows 7. Never had a problem with opening of Disqus on Cnn until today. Yesterday I updated avast, and no problem with disqus yesterday after the update. Today, the section of disqus on CNN opens at all in Firefox. It works fine in IE. I went through all the trouble shooting pages. The only way he opens disqus, is if I open Firefox in "safe" mode I followed the instructions and finally disabled 'everything', same avast, plugins, extensions, add-ons, etc. Even with everything turned off, including avast, it only opens disqus in safe mode. I consider my self pretty darn good on the computer, in fact, I'm the Go-to-Guy "in my circle of friends when someone computer crashes. However, I am out of options here. The only thing I have not tried is the Firefox "reset". I hesitate to do now, because by disabling all with no luck, I don't see a reset to help me.

  I understand and share your concern, but what happens if Google is ~ 6 months away from releasing the next generation of operating system Android (code named 'Ice cream')? The word on the street is that ice cream will merge phones and tablets in a single operating system Android, so even our shelves would respectively honeycomb. In such a situation, is it possible that Google might want to keep more controlled application development until there? I can't imagine that they would change their overall posture on open sourcing, which is a major advantage over the competition.
