  Hey there,

  So today when I opened Firefox, this is what she looked like. Icons and images are distorted. Text is fine, the scrolling is fine. And this only happens in Firefox (i.e. other programs on my computer, including other browsers are fine).

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  You will need to restart Firefox before this takes effect so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  1. Click the menu button

     

     then select the Options under Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.

  2. Select the Advanced Panel, then on the general tab.
  3. Uncheck the use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

• Photoshop CS4 does not not on VISTA > images are distorted?

  Hi all

  I installed the trial version of Photoshop CS4 on my computer vista on every time I open a photo, it's all scrambled to the top. Only the preview of raw files seem to work once in CS4, they are distorted!

  Any idea of what could be the cause of that?

  problem with OpenGL, upgrade Photoshop 11.0.1 and also update your drivers to the latest video card and if it is not always help, then disable the drawing OpenGL from edit-> preferences-> Performance, and then restart Photoshop so that it is taken into account

• Photoshop images are not displayed hardware - tiled and lines distort image.

  Just downloaded CS4 design standard. Photoshop images are tiled-look like a test pattern. Is this a problem installation or a compatibility issue?

  Updated for CS3 which had no problem.

  As long as you have downloaded the latest drivers from the Web of ATI site and installed them, then you have installed the driver properly. If you used another method, then your driver is probably still out of date or simply broken.

  If you have installed the latest driver, then, as Chris has said, there is probably a bug in the driver and you'll want to disable OpenGL drawing. See the "Troubleshooting" section GPU and features of OpenGL and Limitations in Photoshop CS4 for more information.

• Photo added to the Cap 6 interaction dimensions are deformed

  Hello, I am currently working with Malaccaaccordian interaction in Captivate 6. When I go to add a photo (such as content added to one of the "buttons"), the picture gets distorted, i.e. it gets enlarged so that the ratio of H to W is no longer maintained. (I have a head shot of a young woman who now has the shoulders like a football player!) I've not found no way to deal with this. In addition, while this may be understandable (sort of) for photos will be a value very high h, the same distortion appears on a photo just 75 pixels in height (75 x 73 H x W).

  Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

  I found the answer to this question in another thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4675706. In short, it reads:

  Size is not considered as such anywhere, but I'll tell you.

  At runtime, the images are resized to-

  Accordion - 150 X 100

  Process - 150 X 150 tabs

  Timeline - 150 X 150

• Values of read/write of Captivate in a Widget

  Hello

  I have read the forums that talk about the reading and writing of the variable of Captivate your Flash widget and find a complete list of these variables. I tried several ways to 'find' and use these variables, following different examples I found, but so far none have worked. My main interest is by registering a score instead of correct/incorrect just for a Flash of LMS Captivate/Connect interaction and attempted to write the score to the variable cpQuizInfoPointsscored . I used a variety along the lines of:

  _root.cpQuizInfoPointsscored = result;

  But with different paths (find examples on the web), including _root., varHand., _parent, etc..

  I also tried using the cpSetValue function

  cpSetValue ("cpQuizInfoPointsscored", score);

  According to me, Miss me really a kind of crucial contextual information about to use these variables. Any help is very appreciated.

  (I use the code of the basic model for widgets of quiz, btw).

  So I think I'm finally as understand this, if there is an easier way to get a partial score on interaction in the LMS, it'll do for now!

  The LMS UMConnect is based on the standard? If it is based on all the standards that is supported by captivate so if you try to write to LMS of the widget so it is great chance of your course is screwed up because of the conflict between the values submitted by you (your widget) and captivate SWF. If its based on any other standard then probably you can give it a go, but be careful, you will have all the things on your part are clean code. that is all the data required by the LMS must come from your widget, which I think is the case.

  As I know there is no way to write to LMS for a widget without screwing up the course.

  I used snipping too long without problem.  Now all of a sudden (only when I copy and paste into my Corel Draw) the image is distorted.  I use windows 7 64-bit.

  1 have you ever done any recent hardware or exchange of software on your computer before the show?

  2 have you tried to check the issue with another application?

  3. what files are copy you / paste in Corel Draw, using the cutting tool?

• When you print duplicated slides are distorted

  I tried to check 'Use the table in the output' and not turning. Anyway the slides in the Word document are not proportional. The aspect ratio is distorted and everything on the slide is too narrow. Is there a way to fix this?

  Sighing, I know, these old models still think that all the projects are in a 4:3 resolution, which was the standard for monitors for many years (the last century?). Must confess that I left using this option of printing for many years, just use screenshots and InDesign to create my documents. It is also because I'm not a fan of Word either, especially when the images are important.

• Why my images are moving location seen in preview?

  Only really using Muse to create a basic Web site but I'm having a problem with the "miniature" widget

  I have a bunch of photos, a mix of portrait and landscape and on the Design tab, the images are centered, exactly what I want.  However, when I load them in preview mode images portrait of moving to the left.  As I changed alignment to align to the left.

  I messed with it and made the usual stuff (it turned on and goes off), but it is still happenning.

  The really strange thing is that I have other miniature widgets on the site (another page), which has also a mix of landscape and portrait pictures that works very well.  All images are in the plants.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  I managed to fix mine in the end.

  I changed the mount option to "mount the frame proportionally" and everything seems to work now.

• Interactive images on Illustrator?

  Illustrator seems to claim that it can export interactive images, but I've failed several times using CS5... I was wondering if there is a method in the program that I am simply absent.

  Before I get started, you should know that I'm not looking for answers like 'use Dreamweaver' or "Flash would do much better." I'm dealing with a very complex map that would be incredibly painful draw one-at-a-time in DW.  I already did this project in Flash, but I am very dissatisfied with the results: images vector Flash can't handle the complexity of curves, I got and they look horrible, and besides, I want to try some goodness of jQuery with the maphilight plugin & the sweet yumminess of low bandwidth of the PNG format.

  Then I faced at 34 different paths closed (in a single layer.) But whenever I exit by "save for Web & devices...". "I get nothing - well, I get four polygons that are pushed in the lower right of the image. I can see them when I open the file in DW. I tried JPEG and PNG output, but nowhere do the imagemap options more than what are in Control Panel.

  Anyone know what I'm missing? Or is that what I suspect: that Illustrator is completely useless for this task (and once again Adobe let me hold my balls just at the moment where I need them most?) Dear, I hope it's not the latter.

  OK, I got the image maps are there, they are at the point of original coordinates of scale in save for web is the wrong way on the scale of ths the file even if you copy the file, and then the scale and then create image maps.

  The image plane is written * as soon as you select the object and designate it as a rectangle or polygon whose contact information.

  I don't know why we put this across to save for web if you aying on a web page or site?

  The two images must be of same size. If your turnover is distorted, it suggests that the images are of different sizes.

• Cursor images are cut off 20%-80% of the height, has been very good in 34

  On our Web site, we have a slider with about 10 images that have always worked. Now, users who have installed the update of Firefox to 35.01 cannot see the full images. Instead, some images are cut off 20%-80% of the way down on the cursor, while others are intact and completely visible. Image size/type has no effect.

  Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  I tried to empty cache, watched: config for odd configurations, made a private window and disabled all extensions. None of them had no effect.

  Test pages: Amazon.com and https://developer.mozilla.org/samples/cssref/background-image.html - two of these pages have loaded by CSS background pictures. For example, the Amazon logo at the top left is a background loaded from a CSS page. The image itself can be found in gross:

  But why, why why these images are displayed on their relevant Web pages? I see that Amazon, eBay, and many other sites Web without a range full of images. In particular those used for menus and other important navigation buttons.

  Here's what I see on the Mozilla page mentioned above: I see the text, but no expandable star image. It works in other browsers and on other computers in Firefox.

  The page that I tap on right now has no blue background, windows are not correct (as the search engine is not a rounded grey area) and the magnifying of research is missing. So this experience makes it impossible the use of simple pages.

  If the preference of the user browser.display.use_document_colors in subject: config is set to false, the background images will not display.

  My e-mail work fine except that some images are blocked and contain a small box with a red x in it. Also when I open Thunderbird, it says that it cannot connect to the proxy server.

  Check your network settings, then correct for the proxy. If you do not use a proxy, adjust the setting accordingly.
