• More information on "error: linked multiple directory.

  What does "error: linked multiple directory" indicate, and how can I fix this error? This error comes from OSB 10.4.0.2.0.
  
  I found this in some of the newspapers for backups of my servers. Some of the directories are NFS shares, however it is not only shared NFS directories. My concern is that when I try a test restore in one of the directories concerned, there is no option of restore. This seems to indicate that no data is being backed up, which is a problem. This also raises the question - if the whole directories are not be saved due to errors, why do the servers present themselves as having failed to save successfully? It's VERY FRUSTRANT having to browse through the newspapers of backups "successful" in order to find these errors. It will be worse when customers go to restore from their backups 'successful' to find the critical directories may have been ignored.
  
  I found two messages without answer of December 6, 2010-November 9, 2010, on this forum with the same question, so I'm not the only user encounter this error.
  
  Please provide more information on this error "multiple directory-related" and why partially failed backups appear as backups successfully with warnings.

  This means that the folder exists also another point of Assembly on the machine and the backup has been captured through that. Can you confirm the OS this is to and also after the release of "df-h" so that we can check.

• Captivate 9 - mailto: links appear not to if the text box contains the variable (HTML 5)

  Hello

  If I create a link mailto: link using text that contains a variable, it is not displayed in the output HTML 5. The text is there, and the link works, it is not visible.

  Here is the slide in Captivate:

  

  If the slide is out 8 lines - 2 of each set of 4 should be links. The first are web links, the second are mailto: links.

  As you can see the link with the variable email is not displayed. Did the same thing on the iPad:

  

  The link is there however, you can click in the box, it takes in the browser (or typing on the ipad) and a new email is created.

• Captivate 4 - reports to multiple e-mail addresses

  Just upgraded to Captivate 4, and it seems that I can no longer enter multiple e-mail addresses separated upon entry into the quiz preferences/reporting/e-mail field in a semicolon. When I tried in Captivate 4, I got a message saying "Please enter valid email address to continue." Works well with Captivate 3. Can send you to an e-mail address with Captivate 4? Thank you!

  I just tried with a semicolon and he agreed very well.

  What may be your nail are spaces. Try to use the semicolon and remove all spaces.

• Captivate browser test - have multiple available browsers?

  Greetings,

  I need to test the Captivate project files in several browsers. I think remember that an earlier version of Captivate (perhaps as early as 2-3) allowed you to test the application, through multiple browsers. Multiple browsers appeared in a context menu in the main menu of the file menu. You can select from a list short of all installed browsers, browser by default or not. Is it still possible?

  I work in an environment where 2 or more browsers are used. IE is the default browser, but the educational content is accessible through Chrome. I want to test the application of Captivate Captivate projects. I don't want to change my default browser. How can I assign a test for Captivate browser to use?

  Just publish it, and then open the folder where you have published and right-click to test. You should see the two browsers listed in your context menu open with.

  As long as you are not concerned about the exit to HTML5, the widget event handler is probably your best choice:

  I think that what you probably are trying to do is have multiple images appear or disappear when a user will fly over a given spot. Is this correct?  If Yes, then you don't really need is a simple widget to event handler attached to a box of highlight to 0% Alpha (make it act as a transparent hotspot).  You can run a single Advanced Action to DISPLAY the images through the event on success set to Roll Over, and a different Action of Advanced value Roll-Out even on the side of the failure of the widget to HIDE even from images.  Set widget preferences to reset the criteria of success relative to the Action failure so that you can do the mouseover and mouseout/mouseouthandler() several times.

  You can even stack several gadgets on a single object, each widget can be configured to listen to a different mouse event and do something different depending on what the user is doing.

  It seemed that seduce 7 just need another update. I guess when a problem arises, which must always be the first step to attempt to repair. I just thought that we had updated it already. But after I did, it worked on all androids, we tested. Sorry for the confusion and thanks a lot for your help!

  Basic typo: you herf instead of href:

  http://yahoo.com
  

  ([] means upper and lower then sign)

  Note that the display using .

  ...\
  

  Tags means that it is not necessary.

• Help a SWF link to HTML pages please!

  Hello and thank you for your time , read this. I try to use a .swf for a navagation button in a Web site I've created, but I'm running into a bit of a problem. I need to know how to code the button (Flash) so that they link to my specific .html page. Is this possible to do with a realitive link? Thanks again for your time!

• Button link to HTML URL to open in the same window

  If the following code allows us to open an HTML link with the click of a button:

  The problem is that it always opens the link in a new window. So if I want to open it in the same window? Change the line to:

• Link to html button

  I usually use a little flash (flash 4-5) years ago, and now it's so different. I tried searching in books and online response with no luck.
  Real simple, I want to just one button, when you press on, link to a html source. I tried everything, including just copy/paste of what other people have posted. Maybe you can take a look at my work and see where I was wrong?

  The file you downloaded here is a swf file, we would have the fla to look at the code. If you use AS2, the call would be getURL() and a button like this:

  my_btn.onPress = function() {}
  getURL (" http://www.thedomain.com" , "_self");
  }

  This code would be placed on the main timeline and there should be a button on the stage with the instance 'my_btn' name, change it to reflect the name of the instance of your button (s).

• When I click on a link, multiple (and by multiple, I mean a ton) virgins of open tabs. The only way to stop several blank tabs opening must out firefox is completely closed. Do I have a virus or should I change my settings?

  If I click on something to open in a new tab or click on the email from someone open Outlook, instead, a group of empty tabs open. I'm fine with a few empty tabs, but they keep opening. The only way to stop the opening tabs is to close entirely out of firefox. When I try to reopen firefox, blank tabs are again starting to reopen. You can not close out of them pretty quickly because they keep opening. To not open the empty tabs, you must restart firefox again.

  What is a virus or something wrong with my firefox settings?

  Firefox includes options of how to manage the different types of content in your case that mailto links are probably set to "Use Firefox". For more information on how to solve it see Firefox opens several times empty tabs or windows after clicking on a link, especially the section "change the action for a content type.

• Linking multiple layers to a main layer

  Hey there.

  I have a script in which I have a loop for duplicating a layer a certain amount of time.
  I was wondering how can I then bind the properties of the effect of all newly layers a copy to the original.

  I thought the PropertyGroup about my effect on each laye access and then, for each property, to set an expression, link to the original layer.
  Unfortunately, I couldn't find that whatever it is in the Witch of script references might I want to loop through all the properties of an effect.

  
  If my description was not clear... here's what I want (more or less) the script to:
  You have 1 layer with a 'fill' effect apllied on it.
  I want my script to duplicate this layer a certain amount of time and then bind the fill color of all new layers to the fill color of the original.
  Note that this is not my real script, just a simplified example of what I have to do.

  I would be very grateful if someone can give me an idea of how I might accomplish this, or refer me to where, in the guide to script, I can find more information about it.

  The script guide said nothing about it.

  You must use the duplicate() layer and the effect, and then set a correct expression which will connect duplicates the original.

  To define an expression, simply do myProperty.expression = myExpression. (string)

  You must ensure that the initial layer and effect both have a unique name.

  Code example (works for most of the effects, except the paint and a few others, who has a tree of property more complex):

  In my opinion, this isn't the way it is intended to be used by Adobe, but GREP-style in the paragraph styles allow you to play on a certain level with your request. According to your criteria of GREP, you can select the entire paragraph or selective words or phrases. Here is an example of wrapping the two styles of child with the paragraph style:

  

  

• Linking multiple effect layers of several compositions such as controlled form than a composition adjustment

  Hi, I'm working on a black and white colorization project video. I have 25 compositions that have 5 or more in adjustment layers with scale effect colors and each 1-5 layer masks on it.

  I want to link all adjustment layers with the same effect of each composition from a just publication. For example I have adjustment layer for hair or a suite which must bee of same color in all 25 precomps, and when I want to change the color of hair or a suite, to spend it comes a model and do not have true all 25.

  I tried copy property links layer technique but no luck it do not work but it applies to the whole layer and not simply masked aria.

  Any help please.

  You can attach controllers to layer in other compositions by naming the compositions. An expression controlling another layer in the same composition would be initially thisComp.layer ("layer 1"). If the layer that you want to control was in another publication the term would begin to comp("Comp_1").layer {"layer 1").} You can link the layers of a model of layers in another comp, by separating the timelines and then just using the Pickwhip to drag from one property to another. If you have configured a layer in your master comp with a bunch of controllers effects you can lock the effect controls panel, and then use the Pickwhip do to drag the property that you want to control to the controller. This would give you something like this: comp("Main Comp") .layer ("controller") .effect ("Slider Control") ("Slider")

  If you do a lot of them it's a really good idea to implement a good naming convention.
