  We have just improved CS4 CS5 and my project of publication and download on my LMS after I realized that all my graphics are pixelated.  The charts have been developed on Illustrator or Photoshop 4.  Is this why? Can I do anything to solve that within the program?

  I was really frustrated with Captivate 5!

  I am aggregating the project using a program called Simple SCORM Packager.  I don't have more.

  What quality settings that you use to publish every slide?  (Select a slide, go to properties > general > quality)

  If it is set to low 8 bit, try to use the 24-bit high.

• Recover lost Captivate 9 project of automatic computer restart

  I hope someone can help me... I was in the middle of working on a project of Captivate 9 when my computer did an update automatically and restarted. It seems I've lost the project I was working on. Unlike Microsoft Word and other programs that save drafts and make available when you reopen the program, Captivate does not seem to do that. There must be a cached version of my project somewhere on my computer, right? How can I find it?

  First thing to do is to activate the backup option. Go into preferences, and you will see this option. on the first screen. These backups are saved in the Documents folder normal, which is shown on this same screen next to ' publish to the.

  Cache folder is indicated here as well, that if you do not change the default folder that is pointed to by StevePixel. ATTENTION: the names of the files in the cache are cryptic, you need to refer to the date of the record. When you cache the file zip and change the extension cptx, you will have another backup.

  If you look at the JavaScript window, you will notice there is a function call to sendInteractionData();

  This is a custom function to trigger the data in various Captivate variables in a Google spreadsheet, I wrote. It is contained in the index.html page I change after publication. I tested this feature and it works when the values are explicitly defined and sendInteractionData() is called from a static web site... but when it is embedded in the code JavaScript of Captivate, no luck.

  I have a captivate project 9, with branching activated. Whenever I went to preview or publish the project it crashes, on slides at random.

  The branching is created using advanced actions of "go to...". "and I have tried editing to HTML5, SWF and both.

  I even enabled scalability, tested on different browsers and tried a load of different patches!

  Any ideas?

  You said branch never updated before, so I didn't know who was involved.

  I came across several issues where conscious branch comes into conflict with other parameters of such Captivate that submit all the and other options quiz.

  If conscious Branch participated in this issue and turn it off has advantages, then I would say that your actual issue is somewhere in your quiz slides, or perhaps with the pre-test if you have one.

• In a Captivate 7 project created from a PowerPoint presentation, any text animations do not play automatically.

  I created a Captivate 7 project of a PowerPoint slide show, defining the advance slides automatically. There is a slide with animation of text (the text flies in) which plays in the Captivate timeline, but does not in the preview, or when the project is published - the blade stops, then must be clicked to get the animation to play and the slide advances. I do not see how this animation just play when the slide is displayed.

  Someone at - it suggestions?

  That animation is probably triggered during the click on the PPT. change this and update the CP file. It will work.

  I had a 'small' problem - haha.

  When I publish a project in Captivate 8 (original size: width: 1024px | height: 768px) in our LMS, it appears almost half the size (width: 584px: height: 438px) other files (which belong to the entire training).

  Old projects were made with 6 Captivate.

  I wouldn't change a thing, I just open the file .cptx with CP8, saved and published (HTML5 only).

  There is a problem with Captivate 8 or is the problem on the LMS side?

  (PS: Sorry, I don't know exactly what LMS this is, but it is said LMS3 (of schenck.de AG))

  I've never seen such a method. I think you will find that you must simply recreate your dilemma inside Captivate project and forget all means of import.

  The only thing that comes to mind would be to import the project dilemma in PowerPoint. (Assuming that such a thing exists) then import the PPT in Captivate. But you wouldn't be able to make everything connect.

  I have a Captivate 8 project that use Flash based fund sovereign and Captivate swf embedded on the slides. I need to be able to insert a button following inside the SWF embedded which will control the project to go to the next slide. The progress bar and the following buttons have been removed from the PlayBar, because users must fill the SWF properly actions in order to move.

  Hello guys, Evan here (formerly RiskLMSspecialist). I have a few projects recently I published 7 Captivate in simple SWF. They have been updated with the release of flash player 10 and a couple of my classmates are able to view the training without any problems, but another, my supervisor, plays the presentations and concluded that none of the videos (imported as videos of the event) will play in Internet Explorer. This will simply require updating the flash player plug-in to see? Is there a way to ensure they will always play? I fear only that the 1000 + employees who need to view this training ultimately will be a report similar (1/3) who have not updated their browser and will subconsciously be lack of content. Thank you.

  BTW, in case anyone needs to know, I found myself just to convert the whole project being compatible HTML5 which bypassed completely the need to check for the Flash Player updates and such. Probably the best solution I can think of any company that cannot easily update all the plugins Flash Player of each employee easily.

• End of the Captivate 6 project

  I created a project captivate 6 for some functions of the demonstration software, initially, I created this with a trial version of captivate 6. This project was designed to allow users to click on a help button and the project would be to show them the features of the software and it worked perfectly.

  I then let the trial expire and then pulled a sunscription to the E-learning suite 6 and then tried to publish the project, but whenever I try to republish it I get a message saying that the project has expired.

  I've recreated the project from scratch on the subscription on a clean installation of E-learning suite 6 on another PC but when I publish it I still get the same message saying its has expired.

  The project is published via FTP to a server option, but the only thing I haven't changed is the name of the project published for example Assign_analysis, it remained the same on the FTP server during the trial and also since I got the subscription.

  Developers tell me that the file is more written whenever it's FTP'd but it is possible that the expiration date is still detained on the server (from the trial version) even if I have no expiration date together on the project?

  I have republished other projects on the same server that had expired, and the same name without any problem, it's just one that causes me a problem.

  I use Captivate 4 and have a question about the name of the window to a published project.

  Captivate 3, I could create a project file with any file name (for example, name the file "my_cp_project.cp").

  In preferences-> general-> change the name of the project (from 'my_cp_project.cp' to some clear text I want (for example, 'My Version 3 Captivate project').)

  When I publish the project and test I would launch the HTML published in my browser for display. The browser would make a window with the name of 'clear text' (in this example, the text "My Version 3 Captivate project" was displayed in the upper left corner of the window.

  In Captivate 4 preferences are different. When I create a project file (for example, name the file "my_cp_project.cp") with the same name structure, the behavior is different.

  In the preferences-> project-> Info in the name of the project , I use the clear text I want (for example, 'My Version 3 Captivate project').

  When I publish the project and test it by throwing it in a browser, the browser would make a window for the project, but the name of the window would be "my_cp_project.cp". I don't see any place where I can change this.

  Is there another method to use to control the name of the project window? I looked through the forums and found that you can do this by using a variable. Is there a setting I'm missing?

  Doubt you can change the source - this is the code that generates the text that is the problem.

  If your build number is 1596, then you don't have the patch.

  In recent weeks, I can not open my projects in the web browser. Accept one of the projects (only questionslides), I searched for different settings but I couldn't find any differtens. When I publish the project in a .swf still the project will not open.

  When I will get an overview in the Web browser or to publish, the project opens in the Web browser and it looks like deletion of project in and out in not even a second. A quick overview of the background is visible. But I get no massage error something. And the White Tower page. To display an overview of the project in capitvate is not a problem.
