Captivate and PowerPoint timings

I'm working on a Captivate 5.5 Powerpoint presentation.  The TPP has timings this work perfect, but when I try to put it in a Captivate, timings do not work.  I can only go forward with a mouse click.  No idea how to get the timings work in Captivate?

Parth said you: in the timeline of slides from Captivate, you should see a box click towards the end of the chronology of each slide. Remove this click box (must be done on each slide) and you will have an automatic advance.

  • Captivate to Powerpoint or PDF?

    Hi all

Is there an easy way to export Captivate project to Powerpoint? Slide to slide to export, not to embed SWF in a Powerpoint Slide.

Also, is it possible to print the Captivate project or presentation in PDF format? Slide to slide.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

The "workaround" I would offer allows you to get images of Cp in PowerPoint.

as a preview, you can print on word, open the .docx word in zip file and capture the images, then import / insert images in PPT.

The key is: once you save a word with .docx file, you can rename it to .zip and ope the file as a zip archive and extract the images!

Open the zip file and navigate to the images.

    1) enter the folder of "word".

    (2) open the folder "media".

    (3) drag the images to slides PPT

On again, if you find more images that you care about drag-and - drop, you can have the ability to create a 'photo album' since it creates a slide for each image. Here is a link to a reference and a tutorial.

BATCH IMPORT of images in PowerPoint

    BTW, I say "maybe" as:

You get to the feature of the Photo Album in different ways, depending on the version of PowerPoint you have:

    • PowerPoint 2007 or 2010: click on the Insert tab, and then click Photo Album.
    • PowerPoint 2002 or 2003: choose Insert, image, the new Photo Album.
    • PowerPoint 2000, use the free Plug-in Album Photo Microsoft software component for PowerPoint 2000.
    • Versions of PowerPoint 97 and PowerPoint Mac do not have the Photo Album feature.
  • Sierra, word, and PowerPoint

    MacBook 2015

    upgrade of the sierra (10.12)

Following the upgrade, I find the touchpad works do not smoothly with word and PowerPoint, all programs work as well as before. No idea why and what we can do about it?

There are 3 versions of Microsoft Office that work with Sierra, 2008, 2011, and 2016, which one do you use?

Can we assume that you have restarted your Mac since the upgrade to Sierra?

  • Microsoft, including word, excellent programs and powerpoint, will not be full screen in their own Office tabs

    Hello

For some reason, Microsoft programs, I have installed on my Macbook Pro, including word, excellent and powerpoint, will not be full screen in their own office tabs.  When you click on the button to decompress the file in its own tab office + Green, the window covers just everything that is on the current tab.  Here is a screenshot attached.  The screenshot shows the «expanded» word document  In the past, when you click on the green button, it would be fully filtered file on its own tab.  Any ideas on the cause and a fix?  This only happens with Microsoft programs.

  • Opening Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in LabVIEW with digital signature of files

    Hello

I try to open Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents in LabVIEW (or were then converted into a format that can be opened). After the opening, to fill out checklists can insert a digital signature preset (possibly through an authorisation of user name and password) and save the file while preventing further edit or print a pdf of this report.

I have a good experience with LabVIEW, but not in this kind of a system.

I appreciate if someone can point me in the direction to start.

    Thank you very much

    Al

Regarding (1): there is no ActiveX control to view the Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint files. If you want to display these on a front of LabVIEW, so the simplest solution is to use a web browser on the front panel control. This will allow you to provide the path to the file in the URL of the web browser control navigation and the file will be embedded in the browser control. It would be no different than the consultation within Internet Explorer.

Regarding (2): assuming that you view the document on the front panel, this looks like the basis of LabVIEW programming, so I don't know what you're asking for here, or that you are having problems with.

With regard to the (3): I must admit that I'm not quite clear on what will be signed. It also seems that the signing and printing of PDF are two distinct objectives here.

  • Is there a way I can use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint on an Android operating system?

Is there a way I can use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint on an Android operating system?

    Hi DavidBuzzer,

It is not possible to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint in Android operating system.

However, you can use your favorite search engine & download any third-party software that could serve the purpose.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    Hope the helps of information.

  • Captivate and Flash

    Hello

I made a captivate content with flash animation and I puslihed on a LCMS.

When I run it, I heard the noise of the first flash animation, the captivate content is not loades, so I do not see the first slide...

The second problem happened when I click on the button "Pause". The content captivate paused but not the flash animation, why?

    Concerning

Ahh... Ok.  It would be probably due to Audio compression settings you use in Flash.

Go back to your Flash file and change the settings in publication for the quality of the Audio.  By default, they are not very high, which means that once you pull the audio in Captivate and compressed here as well as become very degraded.

Experiment a bit until you find a combination of settings that seems OK. It means that your size is likely to increase.

  • Captivate and LMS

    Hello

My company is looking into getting an LMS. A question that has been asked is is it possible for Captivate and LMS system work together and remember how a user got through a module and return to that point at a later date?

For example I have a 30 slide module whose question pools - the user happens to slide 20 - must disconnect and go to a meeting - when they return can they begin from the point in the module that they had left it (slide 20)?

    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

Yes it is possible. Captivate has the bookmark function that uses the SCORM interface.

I used it on our LMS company without any problem. You should use Captivate to do the imsmanifest and select report options in Captivate.

A problem with the function of bookmark in Captivate is that the user is not asked if he wants to pick up where they left off, but simply transferred. This is the reason why we do not use the Captivate bookmark solution because we like to give users the choice from the last point or start over.

Another problem is that when the user has reached the last page of the course which will always be the bookmark page. This means that whenever a user starts the course even after finishing to complete once they will be transferred to the last page of the course. You can fix this with a little 'hack' - see here more http://www.captivate4.com/2008/11/25/reset-bookmark-in-captivate-3/

We have developed our own bookmark function we use instead. It's a flashfile which we insert in Captivate and that reports the progress of the race and store it in the LMS. When a user starts a course again once they are requested of if they want to continue or go back to page 1. It's a better solution than Dove built in function.

  • Captivate and networks

    Hello

I've seen in various posts, talk about networks and Captivate (and how do not mix the two).

I work in a large hospital and we save all our files on networked drives. My Captivate software, however, is on my local disk C:.

    1. do I save all my projects on my C: drive so captivate? If so, what is the best method for the back up? CD seems not very safe for me - especially for long term storage.

    2. is it allowed to store a copy of the draft captivate on a network drive to all? (i.e. store for security but do not change them here)

Anything else I should know about the use of network drives?

    Thank you.

    Hi Noëllet,

Actually, Yes, and Yes to questions 1 & 2. A good practice would be to create and modify your Captivate projects on your local hard drive. As often as necessary (at least once a day for example) for backup, copy your project files to a location on your network drive. If your IT Department also backs up your hard drive every night, then you will not have to copy files over the network.

One of the main reasons why it is not a good idea to work directly on a network drive, it is that no matter what network 'hiccups' while the economy or publish the project could cause corruption in your file.

    See you soon,.

  • Captivate 3 and PowerPoint 2007

Creating a shockwave flash file in captivate 3 and try to insert it into a slide powrpoint play when I go to this slide. Seem to be following the instructions correctly, but when I move to the PP slike the flash will not play. Can help you with this question? Thank you very much!

    Hi there oneethan!

If plan A does not work, it is often faster direct access to Plan B (to avoid wasting time).

Why not import the PowerPoint in Captivate as a groundswell (or it just add a blank slide and import the PPT to JPEG background, then melt into the background - to accomplish the same thing), and then enter the file Flash in this context.

Because Captivate can import Shockwave Flash (SWF), or streaming video Flash (FLV), this should be quite doable, especially if you have problems to import the PPT slide with the embedded elements.

Insert Animation > navigate to and select the SWF file
    (or)
Insert Flash Video > navigate to and select the FLV file

Let us know if you need help, but I think maybe it's your most direct solution.

    Kind regards
    Larry

  • Somehow, word, excel and powerpoint have been REMOVED from my office

Okay, I don't know how - but the entire programming of word, powerpoint and excel have all were removed from my office. And no, I'm not kidding. And no, I'm not stupid; I don't really know how it happened.
I was looking at the different programs installed on my desk, left for a while and when I came back, I couldn't open any documents. After a further inspection, I realized that all of the above programs are gone.
I am very serious here and I hope that someone can help me. Is it possible that alright are still there on the hard drive and / or somewhere and can be put back? Please help me; I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Double click on 'My Computer', the window will show you the different readers installed on your pc. Double-click the disk Local (c) under the title of hard drives and a window will open showing you the folders and files on that drive. Click on the search button, select all files and folders to search for and type Excel.exe in the "all or part of the name of the file:" box. Click on the button Search & see if it happens.
    Repeat for Winword.exe and Powerpnt.exe.

If the search finds them, note their location - which will probably be C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office * (where * can be a number).

  • HP 6520: Cannot print from 2016, Word and PowerPoint 2016 but may leave Excel on HP 6520 2016

Have charged the current driver... Can print from Excel 2016. But can't go to Word or PowerPoint-2016. Paper goes through but not print.

    Hi @Hopefully5,

Thanks for getting back to me with this information.

The first thing I would do is check the software and printer drivers. This can be easily done by downloading and running the tool HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and solve many software issues of print and printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
