Captivate and quiz results

Hello world

I need to create e-learning modules with Captivate to save the users folders (sorry for my bad English, I'm french). Actually I want to make a package being user that is saved, I mean I want to see the results of the quiz for each question, the % of correct answers etc... How can I do this?

I tried with an LMS (claroline), but he just send progress overall, no results to the quiz and for each question

I'm so disappointed because I had to finish that in just 2 weeks

Some help would be very useful and appreciated,

Thank you very much!

1. to be able to follow all the options response at the end of the quiz, you will need to have a table in JS. You can update each Member of the array when they change the slide. To determine if a slide has changed, you can use the variable cpInfoCurrentSlide.

2. to go to the next slide, you can use the rdcmndNextSlide variable. You will need to continue cpSetValue() function for this. This is how you do it:

document. Captivate.cpSetValue ("rdcmndNextSlide", 1);

    Hello world

I am trying to create a course that has several "knowledge checks" that need not be striped or track, then a 10 question at the end quiz that must be marked and tracked.

Someone does know of a way to separate these two elements so that the slide Quiz results do not cover my data 'check knowledge' and gives just the details of the user of the 10 question quiz? I would also use the progress bar, but only for the last 10 questions.

Moreover, if the result of the quiz screen separated the results of controls knowledge quiz, which would work as well.

    Hello

If you are using the Question slides that come with Captivate, all slides will be added to the total score because you can have than a Quiz in a CP-file.

Some ideas: you can assign to the partition of the first (not to follow) slides to 0, or if possible change issues marked the investigation (no is not marked).

If by progress, you mean the indication ' Question X of Y ", there, you'll need to do your own counters, with variables user and advanced actions. If you want to have total control of your question slides, that you can create the first group issues yourself and use only default to the last real Quiz Question slides. Just published a blog post today with a few links to articles on customizing quizzes. Feel free to check it out:

  • Captivate 9, quiz results not updated

I inserted a few slides of question and deleted some. When I run the project on the Quiz results page only shows 2 of 2. I have 9 question slides.  How can I update the Quiz results slide?

    I'm running Windows 10, IE 11.

    Thanks in advance.

This is not normal. Can you check Panel Advanced Interaction (F9)? You see questions added to the score he and the correct total score? Are you sure you did insert normal question slides, no check sliding knowledge?

  • Captivate 8 - Quiz results

Is there a way to make the results of the questionnaire?

For example, to make a 5 question quiz, it will give the person information about each question specifically, they were wrong.

The legends of the success or failure of each slide can be customized to give any information you want to the user. For the MCQ with a correct answer, you can use the advanced response feature that allows you to provide different feedback for each answer choice.

What more do you want? If you want to give this kind of information after all the question slides, you'll need to store each answer in a user variable and create some advanced actions to provide feedback. More work. Look at:

  • Quiz results slide - NaN errors in published Captivate 8 content

    Hello

I worked on a number of modules with different content in each, which have a short quiz at the end. All except a beautiful work and the quiz results slide displayed correctly the 'score' and 'max' accordingly.

However, I have a module with an erroneous result reported "0" out of "NaN" and I don't know why it appeared suddenly?

I have been a model for these modules (even if it is true that it has been outsourced - they should always use the same model)

I don't see any obvious difference in the parameters or results between this slide and the other modules - so I'm stuck!

I was wondering if something had gone wrong with the slide therefore results as a test, I copied all the slides except the quiz in a separate model that has worked very well, and then updated the quiz and slides re-edited, still had the same error. This leads me to suspect the content slides are part of the problem. There are some real questions in the content slides / false, which are defined as a "pre-test" type - could these affect something?

I am using Captivate 8.0.3.290 and I checked the result published scorm cloud and our Moodle LMS - same erroneous result.

    I hope someone can help?

    Thank you

    Jon

It is difficult to know what is the problem with this model. I highly doubt that the presence of pre-test slides is the cause. It is perfectly possible to have a pre-test and a Final Quiz in a project. To exclude this possibility: try to create a small project with a test question and a real Question slide, using this same model.  Follow the system variable. What is the result?

You know if this model was created initially to CP8 or is this a version update of a model?

I never delete the review area, although it is used in two circumstances:

    1. For the message of pass/fail on the Score slide
    2. When a question has been ignored (I always feel that issues are considered to be ignored).

  • Captivate 8 customize quiz results message

    Hello

I was given a Captivate file and I need to translate everything for the French. I translated everything, with the exception of a single message on the results of the quiz screen. When the user fails there is a message that displays "Sorry, you failed the quiz" and I need to translate it. I looked everywhere but can't seem to find where to update this message, including under the menu Preferences of Quiz.

How can I change this sentence? What is a variable that controls the message here?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Can Captivate 6 export quiz results/interactions to Excel?

We use the option in Captivate 6 internal server reports. I thought there was a widget for this, but I couldn't find.

We would like to know if we can capture data to a great quiz and then throw in the internal server, or vice versa.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you

    Judy

    Hi Judy,.

With Adobe Captivate Quiz results analyzer, you can go and get the result of interactions and the Quiz reports and export it in. CSV, which. CSV can be opened in MS Excel.

    Is this what you need?

    Thank you.

  • Quiz results: problem with Pass Message and background Image

    Hello

I use v1 and I had a question on the quiz results page. I input a Message goes in the quiz Manager, but not the entire message appears on the Quiz results page. It seems to be cut. Y at - it something I need to do to ensure that everything is displayed or Captivate allowed me to enter a long message in the Quiz Manager, but not display it on the screen of Quiz results.

Also, if I choose a background image it seems to appear on the upper left of the results window. Is there a way I can place this image to appear where I would that he on the results page?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Julie88,

First of all, for the long message, your observation is correct. Captivate has allowed to enter long message Quiz Manager, but its actually impossible to view it in the SWF file.

Second, for the image, unfortuantely you can't do Captivate 1. Captivate 2 comes gives you this option. Infact in Captivate 2, you can view the result do drag in the Editor pane and change it as you wish.

    Thank you

  • Custom messages of success and failure on quiz results slide

I'm trying to create a custom message of success and failure on the quiz results slide, using certain colors in the text caption to reflect the brand of our company. I've added a tip action entering the slide, so that if the percentage of quiz is 80% or more, shows message of success and failure message leathers. It seems like it should work, but for some reason, only the fault message views, no matter if I fail or pass. Anyone tried this with any success?

    Thanks for your help!

This button is very important: clicking on it will launch the actions that you define in Quiz preferences, success/failure. Think that it is also mentioned in my blog, when I talk about the score slide. Maybe that you were lucky, but I especially advice to add a line short slide after this slide score, certainly everything is transferred correctly, especially when launched by LMS and many users will do the test at the same time (I have used in a college for some exams). In this case you can set the actions of pass/fail on the issue level «Go to next page»

This thread is marked still unanswered, so I guess it isn't completely resolved?

  • Custom Quiz results page mapped for quiz interaction question IDs

We use 9 Captivate and we want to create a quiz results page customized with five categories (each question in the quiz is tagged with 1-5 interaction IDs) each question in the module will have the points assigned to one of five categories. Each question will be worth 10 points. Each question uses an integrated in multiple choice or reactive quiz question slide. We want the results to calculate and display screen the score of the learner in each category. Thus, for example, if there are three questions in class 1 and I get two right, we want that results screen to view it: category 01:20 / 30.

In short, we want to create five numeric variables. Each question will be assigned to a variable. Each correct answer should add 10 to the numeric variable. The results screen should display a count of five numeric variables.

How can we do this? Please help :)

In this case, you have the second approach. Create 5 user variables v_cat1, v_cat2... v_cat5 with a default value of 0. Create a shared action that you can attach to the success events and failure of the glide of the question. It will be something like this (didn't try, little busy at the moment):

    • Expression v_cat1 = v_cat1 + cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored
    • Go to the next slide

Only the v_cat1 variable must be a parameter. When you apply this action to both events of a question, you only have to indicate the correct variable.

On your score slide, insert this user variable in a text container.

You want to have the maximum calculated also? Then you will need 5 user additional variables v_max1, v_max2... v_max5. Add an order more to your shared action:

    • Expression v_max1 = v_max1 + cpQuizInfoPointsPerQuestionSlide

This means that now two parameters (variables two user).

    Good luck!

  • Captivate 8 Quiz prematurely cause ranks Quiz

I have a 48-module created in 8 Captivate and hosted on LMS training program to absorb.

If I check display the Score at the end of the Quiz Quiz results slide is can be browsed to advancing beyond the last content slide.

Once this is done the quiz is classified as having failed and all unanswered quiz questions are classified as not having been completed.

If I hide this slide the participant has no score at the end of the presentation.

How can I do the following:

    1. Enable a learner to skip a question later.
    2. Only allow to the learner AN opportunity to respond to each question
    3. Show only the Quiz result ONLY slide after the learner has attempted all questions
    4. Avoid the current behavior to have prematurely class Quiz if the learner uses the table of contents to accidentally access the last question of the quiz and then go to the Quiz results slide.
    5. Allow to the learner for the quiz to review more normally occurs once they tried ALL the question once.

I searched on this forum for such a question... my apologies if I missed a previous explanation and the satisfaction of pointing me the finger this response.

Please let my know if I can provide any information additional clarifying.

    Thanks in advance... KJR

The only way to allow users to skip questions and come back later for them is to use the submit all have, sorry all your audio comment does not. It is in the name already since all responses are posted only when the user decides that he is ready to submit. In addition, OCD or playback bar navigation is not possible.

My approach to a quiz is different: I do not allow to skip questions. This means prevent navigation during quiz (possible in Quiz preferences). In Captivate 8, where the "Skip" button doubles as a button following during the review, which makes it indispensable, I drag the next under the Clear button button. This work around is more necessary in Captivate 9.  Allow an attempt on the level of question + preventing navigation, means that the user cannot proceed to the next question before submitting the question. You know how to allow for the review.

That the workflow will provide you with all you want, except free navigation. The only other way is to use custom, questions that give you total control--but it's a lot of work.

  • Captivate Review Quiz button

    Hello everyone

Have created a quiz in Captivate, I'll settle for the user to review quiz if they. (90% success rate so I want to see what questions they got wrong).

I don't want the user to review quiz if they fail (because this will show them the right answers, effectively allowing them to cheat their way through the quiz twice).

If someone could please give me an answer to my question, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Ok. Well in this case you will need using Variables and advanced Actions.

You cannot selectively DISPLAY the Review Quiz button on the Quiz results slide, and can hide under something other than one of the components of this slide (that's why I suggested using the Retake Quiz button) by default.

You must have a variable of follow-up that record whether the user past the quiz for beginners.  Have this variable set to 0 by default, and 1 on slide enter Quiz slide results (using a conditional action) IF the student passes the course.

If the user clicks the review Quiz button, it will take the learner to the first quiz question and also set a System Variable Captivate following if the user is in view.  You can run a conditional action by slide enter each question quiz to check if the learner is in playback Mode, and whether or not they have passed the quiz before allowing them to post the question quiz in review slide. If they have not passed the test yet, then the conditional action must jump them to a slide that tells them that they must pass the test before trying to see him.

Quite frankly, I'd rather give of the learner 2 or 3 more attempts at the quiz (via a Retake Quiz button) before forcing them to redo everything.
