• Captivate demo does not appear

  I use TC 3.5, have a machine with 8 GB RAM, large hard drive, fast processor.  I am using Captivate to record in demonstration mode at 1024 x 768.  I went out to the swf format.

  I followed the instructions of RoboHelp to the letter but still get this problem: the Captivate demo appears not in my CHM, except when you click on the view button result after compilation. He also appears in the overview of the topic ("Item selected View").

  It does not appear when you double-click the CHM file in a folder.  What watch is a sketch where the demo should be, with a red X in a box in the upper left corner.

  You mean in addition to claiming that people only use the CHM on 32-bit systems or offering instructions on how to launch the 32-bit help viewer?

  I don't think you can use the shortcut command to open an instance of Internet Explorer with the Captivate page. But should ensure the Captivate SWF and associated files (HTML, JS) have delivered and installed in the same folder as the CHM file. And depending on how your CHM has been launched, you might need the path to the script file because of the bug of Multipathing CHM see you when a CHM is initiated by an application.

• Captivate demo - no controls during insertion in Robo 7

  Whe I put the demo on a RH7 page, the playback controls do not see the upward. I ticked the box in Captivate during the creation of the demo and it plays in a flash drive with controls that work, but they do not appear in RH7...
  Any ideas?

  This happens if you use RoboHelp to point to just the main part of your Captivate movie. You must make sure you head to the. SWF that ends with _skin. SWF.

  Captivate HTML5 demos can be launched from a CHM file?

  For CHM you would probably want to investigate on publish the Captivate as a SWF file. Then adding the SWF file to a topic or maybe making it a subject of its own by importing the Captivate created HTML page. It would be the most straightforward approach.

  I have, I know that I must remove eventlisteners

  and that's all I need how I stop all the eventlistens as there are in other files, then how to reach others.

  How implement you a pause function depends on the details of the design.  You do not necessarily have to deal with the individual event listeners.  You can also build in a conditional logic that checks if a break condition is true or false and coding the process or not.

• Error memory when inserting Captivate demo

  When you try to insert an Adobe Captivate demonstration in a subject, I receive an error message that says simply "Out of Memory". I thought this might have something to with our SharePoint source control, so I tried to add the same. SWF file to a project to source code control (stored on my local), and I got the same error. I use RoboHelp 10. The. SWF file is 62 716 KB. Help?

  Is it only this demo which gives problems? It could very well be the SWF size.

  If this is the only file that gives problems, you can try the following:

  -Create a small SWF file with the same name as the SWF file that you are trying to import (CC or rename a text file) and import that into RoboHelp.

  -Replace the SWF file that was included in the HR with the SWF project which gave problems.

• RH8 Captivate demos do not work in .chm

  I had created some Captivate demonstrations independently (excluding Robohelp) and had inserted them in my subjects. I'm sure that I could see in the less than two months (this was when I was working on these specific topics). However, I encountered a problem now, where I can see the demos with the preview topic option and not when I compile and generate a. chm.

  I have not moved the files, so there is no change in their situation. What I'm missing here?

  Advice would be greatly appreciated.

  When a CHM is opened in Windows 7, it uses the HTML Help engine. (HH. (EXE). Windows 7 64 bit has two different HH. EXE versions. If you double-click a CHM, it runs the 64-bit CHM Viewer. It is possible that when you looked before when things were working, you saw the 32-bit version (which presents well Captivate demonstrations and other Flash content).

  Take, for example, RoboHelp HTML. If you compile a CHM, and then use Windows Explorer to find and open the CHM, he runs the 64-bit Viewer and no Flash content works. But if you open the CHM of RoboHelp HTML, either by clicking on view result or by right clicking on the SSL and choosing to view the CHM, you get the 32-bit version and the Captivate and Flash demos work.

• Captivate 4 - Advanced - Actions buttons Pause/Play

  HI - so I created a 2 buttons - a pause and play - so my users can implement pause/play my captivate video (slide audio and real). I created my 2 variables for the buttons and I created my Advanced action. I am affect my break to "rdcmndPause", hide break, exhibit. And I'm assigning play "rdcmndResume", hide the piece, see the break. It does not work. The play/pause buttons appear and disappear as they should - but my project is not a pause or play. Any thoughts?

  9 Captivate, this could be done with the States. Captivate 8, you need to insert "avatars" around, hide them for output and based on the selection in the first slide that you can store in a variable user, display the avatar appropriate on each slide using the action on enter.

  Using a shared LAN drive as a server for the release of Captivate location often eventually questions. If your content is focused on the SWF, all end users will need to configure the LAN drive as a trusted location in their Global Flash security settings or links may not work etc etc.

  Your best option is to download your content on a web server, either the company intranet or internet General and reschedule.
