• Captivate demo does not appear

  I use TC 3.5, have a machine with 8 GB RAM, large hard drive, fast processor.  I am using Captivate to record in demonstration mode at 1024 x 768.  I went out to the swf format.

  I followed the instructions of RoboHelp to the letter but still get this problem: the Captivate demo appears not in my CHM, except when you click on the view button result after compilation. He also appears in the overview of the topic ("Item selected View").

  It does not appear when you double-click the CHM file in a folder.  What watch is a sketch where the demo should be, with a red X in a box in the upper left corner.

  He will appear in WebHelp.  The code in the CHM seems OK for me:

  You mean in addition to claiming that people only use the CHM on 32-bit systems or offering instructions on how to launch the 32-bit help viewer?

  I don't think you can use the shortcut command to open an instance of Internet Explorer with the Captivate page. But should ensure the Captivate SWF and associated files (HTML, JS) have delivered and installed in the same folder as the CHM file. And depending on how your CHM has been launched, you might need the path to the script file because of the bug of Multipathing CHM see you when a CHM is initiated by an application.

• Error memory when inserting Captivate demo

  When you try to insert an Adobe Captivate demonstration in a subject, I receive an error message that says simply "Out of Memory". I thought this might have something to with our SharePoint source control, so I tried to add the same. SWF file to a project to source code control (stored on my local), and I got the same error. I use RoboHelp 10. The. SWF file is 62 716 KB. Help?

  Is it only this demo which gives problems? It could very well be the SWF size.

  If this is the only file that gives problems, you can try the following:

  -Create a small SWF file with the same name as the SWF file that you are trying to import (CC or rename a text file) and import that into RoboHelp.

  -Replace the SWF file that was included in the HR with the SWF project which gave problems.

• RH8 Captivate demos do not work in .chm

  Hello

  I had created some Captivate demonstrations independently (excluding Robohelp) and had inserted them in my subjects. I'm sure that I could see in the less than two months (this was when I was working on these specific topics). However, I encountered a problem now, where I can see the demos with the preview topic option and not when I compile and generate a. chm.

  I have not moved the files, so there is no change in their situation. What I'm missing here?

  When a CHM is opened in Windows 7, it uses the HTML Help engine. (HH. (EXE). Windows 7 64 bit has two different HH. EXE versions. If you double-click a CHM, it runs the 64-bit CHM Viewer. It is possible that when you looked before when things were working, you saw the 32-bit version (which presents well Captivate demonstrations and other Flash content).

  Take, for example, RoboHelp HTML. If you compile a CHM, and then use Windows Explorer to find and open the CHM, he runs the 64-bit Viewer and no Flash content works. But if you open the CHM of RoboHelp HTML, either by clicking on view result or by right clicking on the SSL and choosing to view the CHM, you get the 32-bit version and the Captivate and Flash demos work.

  Captivate HTML5 demos can be launched from a CHM file?

  For CHM you would probably want to investigate on publish the Captivate as a SWF file. Then adding the SWF file to a topic or maybe making it a subject of its own by importing the Captivate created HTML page. It would be the most straightforward approach.

  I use JDev 11.1.2.4 and fusion web application, I have 2 main table and, when I run APP module and insert data in the table in detail its registered successfully, but when I drag the VO of the data control to af:form some data and other will be null.

• Captivate 8 Windows freezes when inserting the Interactions of training

  Hello, all.

  I'm under Captivate 8 a laptop Windows Pro 8.1 with 8gigs of Ram and an Intel Core i5 processor.

  Whenever I try to insert an Interaction of training - everyone I've tried (except the timer) - it after about 30 seconds of NOTHING happening, the program crashes. I get the 'Windows has stopped responding"and then dialogue"Close program.".

  And Yes, I tried both as an administrator and not. The same problem.

  Someone else has encountered this, and you know a fix?

  I see you manage emp_id is null, you must assign a value if null sequence... This column cannot be null, where the error, and "Edit" a column of this table the DML to this id value.

• Captivate 6 is overwhelming when inserting click boxes and other issues

  Desperately need help because I have never seen something like this.  I use 6 Captivate in the workplace and have not run on a question like that in the 9 years I've used the Captivate.

  Captivate will not open all new projects (800 x 600 or 640 x 480 etc..)  Nothing happens.  When I open the 1024 x 768 (the size of the project I used last year), a new project opens, but when I try to add a click box, I get an error message "a fatal error has occurred and the application is completed.»  Adobe Captivate, tried to put all your work in the respective project in the form of files "cpbackup" files  Please restart Captivate.  Only, this has happened for a week.

  When a colleague or employee of IT connects to my computer under their profile, Captivate works very well for them.  I went to another office of co-workers who Captivate and when I connect to his computer under my profile, I have the same problem, so we thought that my work profile was corrupt.  HE set up a new profile 2 times, I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 or 4 times and nothing works.  We are on a network but Captivate is installed on my c: drive and I save all my files on the c: drive.

  The strange thing is if can open the files I've worked on this last year (there are up to 2 weeks), they are great and I can insert click without any problem areas.  Sometimes, just when I try to create a new file.

  We have to work Adobe volume licenses so I can't call and get support and none of us can understand it.  I would be very grateful for the help!

• Captivate Demo 7, make a pause as if backup automatic in very bad weather

  Hi all

  Any program of captivate for the first time user, please bear with me

  I use the demo in the meantime my company to install the licenses for my permanent use.  My question is that Captivate will pause as is the automatic backup and then moves.  This is a nice feature, if I really want, but I do not have, and it does in the middle of video capture. This is a major problem when I do the operation of software capture and Captivate decides to take a break, but my software I capture does not work.

  Any ideas on that?  I looked in preferences, but does not see where I can cut autosave, if it's really an AutoSave.

• Captivate variable assigned to an inserted .swf?

  I have this piece of code in my (edited Flash 4) .swf file:

  Hello - I'll try to keep this brief, but appreciate the wealth of experience on these forums.

  Is it possible to insert an "assessment Simulation".swf into an existing captivate project and have it report / communicate through SCORM LMS system outcomes?

  I basically created a custom interface for a custom course that isn't (though that may be) a sequential placement.  I intend to assess learners through "Simulations of assessment" that I created, but I can only insert the .swf in the existing project and is not reports properties and just treats it like a normal slide.  I want to user input in this sim .swf assessment to the impact of their complete/incomplete status.

  I know it might be difficult to understand - it is difficult to articulate, but any help would be appreciated.

  I don't know if you are using a master blade while this shell?  If you want to insert your slides to assessment in this larger slide, you will need to do a few scaling. I explained something similar, not necessarily quite the same situation however in this blog post:

  The idea is that you create a "hole" (= transparent area) in which captures sim slides will get in. What do you think about such a flow of work?

• Captivate 2 playback control question

  I have a Captivate project that uses buttons for all navigation, so I did not need to see the playback control bar, except that I need the user to be able to use the CC button. I could enter into the control of the skin and eliminate all the other buttons, except the info (I) button. Right now, the CC button and the Info button are displayed. Not only is the information button useless it seems bad in design. I think that put at the point before, but I was not able to find the solution. Any suggestions on how to disable the Info button in the Captivate 2?

  I want to disable the menu attribute of conspiracy that comes on the left click on the legend of the plot.

  Can anyone help me regarding the same?

  OK, so it's not like you can change the menu runtime for the legend specifically, but here are some things you can try:

  -Place a control invisible/decoration on the legend (which prevents the user click on it)

  -If you do not need them to be able to click on the graph at all, then use the mouse to the bottom? filter events and discard

  -You could maybe improve the foregoing by obtaining the size/position of the legend by using nodes of property and throw the mouse down only if the click was within the coordinates of the legend (the coordinates of the click is one of the properties returned by the mouse down event).

• Control during the startup switch

  I want to use an application of touch screen on a laptop. The laptop can lead the screen after activating with the F8 function key. How can I automate this as I don't have access to the keyboard or the mouse, just a touch screen. I'm looking for a batch file which autoexecutes during boot

  Not everything that requires pressing the FN key on the keyboard can be automated because the operating system cannot detect this button (it is a hardware only affecting the manufacturer codes).
