Captivate remembers last slide

I have a project with 10 blades. Slide 1 & 2 are intros. Slide 3 is the main menu here, users can select the slide 4-10 at their own pace. In slide 3 I narration explaining to the user how to navigate (the audio last about 10 seconds). The problem is that whenever users goes back to slide 3 audio repeats and it becomes a bit boring. My question is, can I put audio from slide to play only once? So, I want the user to click the slide 1, then 2, then 3. In 3, I will give it 10 seconds of instructions. He or she will choose slides 4-10 and when they are done, they click on slide 3. When they return to slide 3, I don't want to seduce to replay the audio. Is this possible?

Hi E-ROD15 and welcome in the community.

Yes, it is possible, but not in the way that you want. Much work of Captivate is "smoke n mirrors", creating a duplicate of slide 3, but remove the audio of the copy, then let them "return" to the copy without audio when they select slide 3 again. The user will not see the difference, but the audio will not appear once.

    Hello

Maybe turned on bookmarking and LMS works this way in this case. Check Quiz preferences, the LMS customization settings. Try to check the option "never send RESUME data" and publish again.

  • Completion of the SCORM trigger on the last slide?

    captivate-settings.png

Basically, there are only 2 options of AutoComplete in Captivate (attached).

When I test it in ScormCloud with the option of radio user access the call completion is sent immediately. If there is a way to have a bit more granularity and trigger completion of SCORM manually when they reach the last slide without using one of these Captivate settings?

Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

Put an object on the last slide and require quizzes (with a score required for the partition of the object).

  • Last slide audio plays in the slide before him!

I am using Captivate 5. I have a quiz in my project, and the quiz results page is the 2nd to the last slide. After this slide is a certificate. Users get only to this slide from the slide of test results once they have passed the test. If they had failed the quiz, the quiz results slide shows the Retake Quiz button and it brings the user to the first question of the quiz.

The problem I have is with audio. The last two slides both have audio. When a user is on the quiz results slide, the audio so that it plays, but then he goes on to play the audio for the certificate drag regardless if the user spent or not. It's only the audio which is undercover. I don't know what to do.

My quiz is on the answers (because I don't want their scroll ahead to the answers and explanations). Pass is located to go to the next slide, which is the slide of certificate. Failure is set back to the 1st question slide.

All this experience? Otherwise, I think that my only recourse is to remove the audio from the last slide.

    Hello

Try to second donner.1 of the additional slide after the audio in the timeline duration, see if that helps. Otherwise you can give it as an object of a legend of transparent text on the slide audio. Let me know if any of them would help?

  • Status clear KNOCK on the last slide (CP 5.5)

Is there a tip action that will allow me to erase the State flag on the table of contents, when the user reaches the last slide? Customer needs "to self-paced learing." Some of our unsophisticated users could not realize what they have to say no on resume if they finished the module previously. I want to tab status indicators for them when they reach the last slide. Could not find an appropriate variable.

    Thank you.

    Mihcael

You can't erase it by Captivate or a variable, but it is possible to erase it with a Widget.

I have a widget that worked in Captivate 5 so it should work for 5.5 as well. Get in touch through my site and I'll send you the widget so you can test it.

  • jumps to the last slide

Whenever I run my file captivate published since the html page, he created, it begins on the first slide... and jumps to the last slide in the film. I can use the table of contents to return to the first slide again... but I don't want to have to do, of course. This could be because she jumps to the last slide just as it starts?

I need to present this today... help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you.

    Hello

Try clicking project > Table of contents, then settings... button. My guess is that you have enabled the 'Self Paced Learning' and you must delete it.

After you make this change, publish again and test.

  • stop on the last slide with active buttons

    Hello world

Am still a beginner with Captivate... Please help:

I have 4 buttons set in place on the last slide of Film1, functioning as a simple menu, sort of.

First button goes to Movie 2, second button jumps to 5 film, third button jumps to 8 film, with a last button SHOWS ALL from 2 film as well. All these movies are related to each other (ie. 3 movie begins when ends the movie 2).

How can I get the Film1 stop on the last slide, with all 4 buttons remaining active?

In my published exe, the buttons work if and only if I click on them, until the project stops.

Thank you in advance for expenses!

    Hello

Please make sure that the buttons have activated pause. (It is possible to disable)

Assuming that they have activated pause, they should pause and wait for the user to click on them before you continue. If a break has been disabled, probably made in the box Inactive playhead of the button and it no longer works.

  • a way to designate the last slide for LMS know course is over?

    Hi all

I think that someone else has asked the same question here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/432385?tstart=0 but they are not all the answers. I thought I'd try just in case where I ask something different from what the user meant.

I need to find a way to Captivate designate a slide as the end of the project/chapter for the LMS to know that the user has completed the course. In my case, it will always be the second last slide in a project wants to have that information sent to the LMS (the last slide in the chapter is really just a "thank you" slide with no apprenticeship information) I thought that maybe I can add some sort of script for the 'next' button (run Javascript), but of course I'm a complete n00b and have no idea on the scripts.

I think that the LMS KNOW that chapter is completed when the user receives the last slide, but maybe I'm expecting too much out of the LMS!

    Thoughts, suggestions, solutions?

    Thank you!

  • Print the last slide (certificate) in published .exe

    Hi Captivate-guru,

I'm looking for a way to give a touch of "impression" on my last slide. This slide contains a certificate (not a widget, just a .jpg file with a textfield variable to the name of the student). The button should work in a .exe published this project. In my view, java-script just do not cut it... :(

Please tell us how to do this.

    Thank you!

Hey, everyone out there.  I know that a slide in print seems to be a huge problem for everyone. All I want to do is allow my end user print a certificate template that I imported into a powerpoint slide. I built in variables and it works very well.

The problem is easily printing without print reading or the printer icon bar or buttons... just the landscape of certificate on 8 1/2 by 11 paper.  I tried the widgets that are loaded in Adobe Captivate 4. The print.swf file shows the icons. The fact of the Printslides.swf. I was not able to find anything that do the trick.

I hope that anyone who reads this has been able to solve this problem.  Anyone know a technique that actually works in Captivate 4?

  • Audio to jump to the last slide

Using Captivate 3 (but also have the same question in 2). Imported files wav separated for each slide. Audio plays perfectly edit mode, however, once published, only the first few blades works, and then all of the following slides play audio from the last slide. I read message boards but do not see a problem like that. Even tried audio export, the removal of each slide and re-import audio to all the slides, but nothing helped. Also, how can I program slides forward only when the user clicks on?

I will address the problem of an audio file playing on the wrong slide or by repeating the same audio on a number of slides when the project is published. This happened a lot to me and the solution was:

DO NOT USE WAV FILES! The only way I got the audio working properly was to convert all my WAV files to MP3 (at a constant bit rate of 112 kps), delete all WAV files I had previously imported into my project file, and then import the MP3 versions. Who stopped the problems of audio file. If you convert the WAV files in a binary variable rate MP3 with high throughput, you run the risk of the audio being slowed down by 1/2 or more, women make expresses its male, when you publish to Flash.

I know that Captivate converts MP3 files to WAV files when they are imported, and then converts that their return to MP3 when they are published, but for some reason any using WAV files directly caused nothing but problems.

Publishing for Flash in Captivate 2 (and it seems that Captivate 3 has not improved) is so buggy that I never know what my SWF files will look and act like despite everything works well in the project file.

    Good luck!

  • Last slide fades of CS presentation faints

    Hello

I have 52 slides which play fine in captivate (imported from ppt). The last slide must remain static, because there are links on this slide. I can't make it disappear not (even by saying without transition to this slide, etc.). Does anyone have a solution for this?

The only work around was to have the game slides longer - but which could be confusing for users.

    Thank you

Hi again. I am assuming you are using Captivate 3, so in the same edition - preferences - beginning and end, just above the checkbox for discoloration on the last slide is a drop-down menu for the actions to be taken at the end of the project. Select the Stop project. The last side should just stop and stay there. If we're not my assumption about Captivate 3, there is a similar drop in Captivate 2.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I see last slide indefinitely?

    Hello

I started just using Captivate (today) and have registered my activities on the screen with success and I was wondering how you stop the last slide in the gradual estrangement. I just want that he stay there indefinitely.

The transition on the last slide is set to 'No transition', but still she faints. Is there anything else I need to do?

    Help much appreciated.

  • CP4 - last slide prevents gradual expulsion

OMG, I can't believe I'm stuck on this issue really novice. : O

When my CP4 show ends, it fades to white. How can I stop this from happening? I want the last slide of freeze... or just stay without fading.

I placed a transparent/hidden button... I hope it will do, but I will test later. Who will do the trick... or is it another magic/more simple way to achieve this?

    Thank you people! :-)

from the file-> Preferences. Section of the project-> start and end

Project end Options, see the Fade out on the last side.

If this does not work, make sure that you do not have another object covering all the last side that also fades.

    hope that helps

  • captivate quiz results slide

    Hello

I am a beginner on captivate?

In my model, I have 2 questions on quiz questions and press end 5.

When I finished, the result of the slide was OK, but now I can't get the right result: it seems that 1 is included in the result.

When I publicate the model (flash), issues don't appear as 1/5, 2/5 but 1/1, 2/1... 5/1. It seems I have only one issue.

    What am I wrong?

    Thanks for help. Martine

If you use Captivate 9, simply use Questions to check previous knowledge as your quiz question slides.  These are not counted as part of the quiz.
