Last slide audio plays in the slide before him!

I am using Captivate 5. I have a quiz in my project, and the quiz results page is the 2nd to the last slide. After this slide is a certificate. Users get only to this slide from the slide of test results once they have passed the test. If they had failed the quiz, the quiz results slide shows the Retake Quiz button and it brings the user to the first question of the quiz.

The problem I have is with audio. The last two slides both have audio. When a user is on the quiz results slide, the audio so that it plays, but then he goes on to play the audio for the certificate drag regardless if the user spent or not. It's only the audio which is undercover. I don't know what to do.

My quiz is on the answers (because I don't want their scroll ahead to the answers and explanations). Pass is located to go to the next slide, which is the slide of certificate. Failure is set back to the 1st question slide.

All this experience? Otherwise, I think that my only recourse is to remove the audio from the last slide.

Hello

Try to second donner.1 of the additional slide after the audio in the timeline duration, see if that helps. Otherwise you can give it as an object of a legend of transparent text on the slide audio. Let me know if any of them would help?

Thank you

  • Why does my audio play in the source monitor, but not in the timeline?

I imported some MOV files in first 2015 (codec H.264, PCM Linear, timecode).  The audio plays fine in the source window, but when I drag the clip to the timeline, no audio file appears under it and there is no sound.  I followed the instructions on this link, nothing helps: no sound during playback in Adobe Premiere Pro.

These clips were filmed on a GH4.  I was shooting 1080 24 fps.  Before this problem I was shooting on a Canon 5 d.  Is it possible that it is the codec?

Video playback in the timeline panel is also trolling and jittering a bit, but normally play in the source monitor.

If anyone can help, please excessively it because I am not very fluent in the first.  Thank you.

  • Audio plays in the mess and with drops when I use .mp3, is set when I convert it into .wav. Someone knows why?

I have audio files I import into AE, wishes to use. MP3s, but have a problem with them playing in the mess and most of the audio plays do not at all. Also the sound that plays does not match the waveform.

I have batch save files as .wavs to the difficulty. But I was wondering why this is happening.

In order to better clarify the MP3 format is highly compressed and has been designed to provide a faster reading on a network. Format takes all samples and looking for similar values, so he doesn't have to store each bit of data for each sample. Then a table is built which said the sample currently has the same values as the sample at that time there. This table is parsed by your CPU and audio is reassembled into sound kinda sorta corresponding to its original. The higher data further reading is to the original.

When AE leans on a MP3 player and start decoding of information, combining this with the other audio that may or may not be compressed, and mix all these calculations with the treatment effects and pixel data, MP3 decoding was sometimes out of sync simply because there is no comprehensive audit in MP3 format which ensures that the audio stream is rendered in the correct order when in the CPU clock cycles are overloaded with other processes. An MP3 player can even skip and stutter when played on an iPod, if you are at the limit of storage and execution of something else in the foreground.

Any lossless or uncompressed audio format does not work like that. Sample 1 contains all the data for this moment, sample 2 too and so on. There is no audio samples that does contain all the data so that things don't get out of use when the CPU is stress because they cannot (or at least, it's much more difficult).

It goes the same for video streams highly compressed in the production pipeline. You will always have better results if you convert to a frame without loss or close based lossless format.

  • Firefox audio plays of the closed Flash (?) Internet sites each time it starts.

After the visit of youtube and the Web sites of Bill Maher, the computer connects to them whenever I invoke Firefox and read audio tracks at the same time despite my having already deleted the Web sites. Removing Firefox and reinstalling has no effect. I try to avoid creating a new file .mozilla and bookmarks, and lose. Al. There's no obvious history of addresses involved to purge memory.

It is possible that there is a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js file [2] and files possible sessionstore-# .js [3] with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

When I export a (h264) .mp4 in the sequence (using the encoder) I often get a video that has the sound that repeats.  (that is to say: 'what is that?', 'what is that?","what's that?")  I think it is especially when there is empty space on the sequence between the clips.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Try to clean the media Cache, hoping that this will solve it... taking a lot of time out of the edition actually.  Adobe, fix!

  • Play audio followed by the jump to slide

    Hello

I have a problem with the execution of all stages of a tip action. I have a button which, after which is clicked, should trigger a short audio file indicating the correct answer and direct a user to another place in the project. It seems like basic function, but after creating an advanced with "audio playback" action and "go to slide" for the button and the draft edition, I get no audio. However, without action "go to slide" later, the audio plays as it should do both actions seem mutually exclusive. How can I make it work?

I would be very grateful for your help!

All instructions in advanced actions will be executed in the order immediately. You seem to believe that the jump will wait until the audio played, and this is not correct. Either you need to move on from statements, in which case the audio will play on other slides where you jump to. Or let the time for the audio to play before the break by combining action with the movement on the Timeline. Replace the jump to continue and provide enough time to listen to the audio by editing the inactive part of the button for the duration of the audio clip. Read head moves and reach the end of the finished audio clip slide. You can use the on Exit event to create the action of jumping, or (more reliable) action on enter the next slide. You provide enough details to be more precise, and it is also essential to mention the version you are using.

  • Audio to jump to the last slide

Using Captivate 3 (but also have the same question in 2). Imported files wav separated for each slide. Audio plays perfectly edit mode, however, once published, only the first few blades works, and then all of the following slides play audio from the last slide. I read message boards but do not see a problem like that. Even tried audio export, the removal of each slide and re-import audio to all the slides, but nothing helped. Also, how can I program slides forward only when the user clicks on?

I will address the problem of an audio file playing on the wrong slide or by repeating the same audio on a number of slides when the project is published. This happened a lot to me and the solution was:

DO NOT USE WAV FILES! The only way I got the audio working properly was to convert all my WAV files to MP3 (at a constant bit rate of 112 kps), delete all WAV files I had previously imported into my project file, and then import the MP3 versions. Who stopped the problems of audio file. If you convert the WAV files in a binary variable rate MP3 with high throughput, you run the risk of the audio being slowed down by 1/2 or more, women make expresses its male, when you publish to Flash.

I know that Captivate converts MP3 files to WAV files when they are imported, and then converts that their return to MP3 when they are published, but for some reason any using WAV files directly caused nothing but problems.

Publishing for Flash in Captivate 2 (and it seems that Captivate 3 has not improved) is so buggy that I never know what my SWF files will look and act like despite everything works well in the project file.

    Good luck!

    Jim

  • Captivate 8 - my audio does not play at the end of each slide after that I publish.

It plays very well when I saw the individual slides, but after I publish some slides cut the end of the audio recording. I tried to remove and re audio recording.  Nothing solves this problem on some of the slides.   I am at my wits end and don't know what to do.  Please help, any suggestions?  Thank you.

Leave a small space at the beginning and end of each slide so that Captivate

see all audio clips as an audio clip of the major project.

  • Progress bar when audio plays on a slide with the button

    Hello

    I use 6 Captivate.

I have a zipper opening for my demo that introduced the demo. This slide contains 1-3 minutes of audio. On this slide, I have a standard button named 'Start', that the learner must click Start the demo (which is on the next slide). I also have a PlayBar with rewind, Play/Pause, Back, Next buttons and Audio.

Once the project starts, the Play/Pause button on the playback bar turns into mode 'Play '. This, I believe, is an expected behavior because of the presence of the 'button '. However, it causes me problems because, if the learner clicks on the 'Play' button (instead of the start or next buttons) after the end of the audio to the slide of the opening, the progress on the playback bar bar moves for the duration of the audio, so that nothing changes on the screen.

Is it possible that I can:

    1. Move the progress bar with the button Play/Pause in "Pause" mode when opening, slide audio playback and switch to 'Play' mode once the audio ends? In this case,.

    a. If the learner pauses the audio by clicking Pause and then click on Play, it must continue with the audio.

    b. If the student click on the play button after the audio ends must take sound to the next slide.

    2. turn off the Play/Pause button so that the learner will not click on it?

I don't want to hide the PlayBar on this slide as I want to give the Rewind option to the learner so play the audio again if he / she wants.

    Anthony

A colleague found an easier solution than the one I was talking about earlier.

He just moved the point to pause the start until the end of the slide button. Now, the progress on the playback bar bar moves with audio and the Play/Pause button passes in "Play" mode when audio stops at the end of the slide. On clicking the play button, the project will move to the next slide.

  • Audio attached to the button "submit" plays at the beginning of the slide

I created a text box with a "submit" button. When someone types in their response and clicks submit, text comments will appear and an audio excerpt explains the answer. I have attached the audio, the button submit, but when I go through the project that it plays as soon as the slide appears, not after the answer to the question. He does not appear in the timeline panel, but played when I go to the Audio tab of the submit button. As an aside, the audio on the success and failure of the feedback will be the same. Does make a difference? Should I attach audio to the legends of f/b?

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

PS - the Captiv8er - you were so help kind it has everyone (me)! THX!

Well, how about that? I am answering my own question...!

With more tests, I found that if I join the audio for the legends of success or failure, she plays after the answer to the question. The audio was playing when the slide appeared first of all because I loose to the Submit button, which is visible from the beginning of the slide.

Thank you, me! (Maybe I'm starting to find it?...)

  • CP7 - quiz slides continue to play after the chronology

I use slides with audio 7 Captivate quiz.

Audio playback, I choose an answer and click on send, then click on Y to continue, and if I'm right or wrong, the PlayBar is only 1/2 - 2 / 3 way through the slide.  So I have to wait while the blade plays, long after the audio (and blade) ends.

The results following is hidden, with the option off in the preferences, so the quiz slide is usually the last slide in the project.

    Anyone know what is happening?

    Thanks for any help,

    Marion

Point of suspension by default for question slides (and score slide) is half of his chronology. This means that, after the two steps, another 1.5 seconds deals must go with the duration of 3 seconds by default timeline.

Take a look at my explanations and tweaking possibilities:

    http://blog.lilybiri.com/question-question-slides-in-Captivate

    http://blog.lilybiri.com/question-question-slides-part-2

You can move the suspension point more towards the end, but only with the mouse (there is no Timing accordion). Or you can change the option to continue to 'Go the next page ├a' both for the success or failure.

BTW, it of nothing new, has always been the case. The messages have been written for previous versions.

I recommend you add a last slide after the last slide in the question, it should not be the Score slide, certainly if you want to report to a LMS (leave little time to CP)

  • stop on the last slide with active buttons

    Hello world

Am still a beginner with Captivate... Please help:

I have 4 buttons set in place on the last slide of Film1, functioning as a simple menu, sort of.

First button goes to Movie 2, second button jumps to 5 film, third button jumps to 8 film, with a last button SHOWS ALL from 2 film as well. All these movies are related to each other (ie. 3 movie begins when ends the movie 2).

How can I get the Film1 stop on the last slide, with all 4 buttons remaining active?

In my published exe, the buttons work if and only if I click on them, until the project stops.

Thank you in advance for expenses!

    Hello

Please make sure that the buttons have activated pause. (It is possible to disable)

Assuming that they have activated pause, they should pause and wait for the user to click on them before you continue. If a break has been disabled, probably made in the box Inactive playhead of the button and it no longer works.

    See you soon... Rick
