Captivate (subscription)

After that I downloaded the program from Adobe "Captivate" Unzipped, no icon came for me to install the program.  What I received was for Adobie creative cloud.  I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. Where is the installer?

    When you try to subscribe to a subscription of captivate 7, I get only the option of captivate 8 subscribe to. I don't waant NOT who.

    Situation is that we work with captivate 7 and I guess that I can't work on my projects back and forth between Captivate 7 and 8.

    So I need to work on 7 Captivate and NOT Captivate 8, it does not work for me!

    More about Captivate 7 is within the limits of the version last two.

    I look to me like a kind of attitude arrogant obstruction my job as an Adobe customer

    I need to clarify before purchase / subscribe to Captivate.

    If my clients (a company that is dept will not allow a subscription) purchase Captivate 7 and I buy the subscription for 7 Captivate.  I look at what kind of compatibility issues?  Because Captivate seems to be the only Adobe prodcut is not backward compatible (which is dumb) will this cause issues me moving files back?

    There is a difference between the upgrade and updates.

    7.01 is and updated but Captivate 6 to 7 Captivate would be an upgrade.

    There are no compatibility issues if you sign up and your client uses a perpetual license to the same version.

  • Recently purchased captivate subscription 9 and installed on the victory. When I try to install I get the message "the part archive file of Adobe Captivate 9 lack etc etc etc".

    I followed the links and installed all the files in the same folder (as directed by Adobe) who were there. VERY frustrating... Any suggestions?

  • Captivate subscription - download & installation failed. Win7 x 64

    I bought the subscription for one of my users out of a trial.  Initially, kept download stop with 'error' Manager and a window empty. The alternative download seems to work, but then ran into errors during the installation.  Review of the .7z file indicates data corruption.  Is there an error with the source file?

    Tried one more time, seemed to be getting a download right this time...

    Yes, you can publish a lesson of Captivate (project) to HTML5 or HTM/SWF output and download these files published on your Web site for others to view in their browser.

    None of your students need not sign-up Captivate to view your lessons.  They just need a web browser that is compatible with HTML5 (almost all are now) or have the Flash Player plugin (less so).  For mobile users, you can use HTML5.

    If you stop your subscription, you can not create content, but previously published content still works.  Please note that if you created content with a trial version of Captivate, it will stop working after about 15 to 30 days (depending on where you are in your trial period).

I was on a chat for customer service, and the person said I should be automatically updated and had nothing to do. Captivate 6 has been a while, and I use 5.5 much. I've never been invited to upgrade. I asked the person I would be prompted to download the installer, so he said: 'yes '.

    When I select help > updates... I only get information for 5.5. What Miss me?

    Launch the program (Double click on setup.exe) installation and choose option 2: start my subscription

    Login with your Adobe ID and password and install it the product, it will install 6 Captivate subscription

    Download the trial version, when you sign in with your Adobe ID, it will be recognized.

    Nope, that's the beauty of something like Captivate. Only training creator (s) have to have Captivate. Learners (or consumers) just then a web browser or device to display the content Captivate produced.
