capture dynamic values during execution

Hello

He is delighted.

I work with Oracle application testing suite. I was able to create functional scripts. My request, which I have been job genereates dynamic ID. I want to use these dynamic IDS later in my application.so I want to capture these ID in a variable. Can someone help me please how to store the ID in a variable.

Thanks in advance...

    Here's my problem:
We have a table that contains metadata about the files (paper or electronic).
We hope that we can need more columns in the table at some point and do not want to change the table or the application.

So to do this I would like to create:

A table called TBL_FILE with columns:
NUMBER of TBL_FILE_ID (this will be the primary key)
TBL_FILE_NAME VARCHAR2 (1000) (this will be the name of the file)

A second table will be called TBL_FILE_META with columns:
NUMBER of TBL_META_ID (this will be the primary key)
NUMBER of TBL_FILE_ID (this will be the key to forign to the files table)
TBL_META_COLUMN VARCHAR2 (30) (this is what would be the name of the column if it existed in TBL_FILE)
TBL_META_VALUE VARCHAR2 (1000) (this is the value of this record and the column "would be")

If a person can have as many meta data in the file to add columns to the table.
The problem is how can I allow users to add as much data as they wish with them having to re develop page.

Other things to note is that we would like this be on one page.
I know how to add we can create inserts several rows using a SQL (editable report).
However the TBL_META_VALUE in the TBL_FILE_META column will sometimes be a selection list and other times one text box or a numeric field.
So I don't see now a SQL (editable report) would work for this and I can't create a table of elements on the page running I can?

No idea how I might accomplish this? Is there a better way to do this?

It is a term or a name for what I'm doing by creating these "virtual" columns in another table?
I found this method looking at the workflow tables Oracles.

Creation of dynamic Page elements is not available. You must create surplus items and hide/show, etc. But you cannot change the element Type. Overall, too many restrictions in this approach.

The limit of 100 points will hit you if you go with extra page element. With the form of tables that should not be a limitation, unless you're exceeding the limit of 50 APEX_APPLICATION point. Yes, you can do it. Update report / query in a table can be built from the metadata using the SQL query that returns the PL/SQL function . It will be a bit of coding in PL/SQL where you use metadata and metadata of Meta data to restore your SELECTION with the right APEX_ITEMs. He might have a decrease in performance associated with it, but it will not be a serious degradation.

  • Trying to capture models niHSDIO during execution of a script, no reference vector

I am running a script and generating a number of sets of model, the last set of samples is data capture, I need access to these captured data, but its location was moved to an unknown location in the model memory.  Must identify a way to find if I know the number of sequences of each model of the value and the number of models generated by the script command "wait."  The PXI-6552 module is only 12000 vectors, which is not in correlation with the amount of bosses I've generated (or) + wait.

Please post on the Forums of NOR.  It seems that you're trying to compare materials with a Script. Is this correct? You are doing compare material on all the generated waveforms, or just the last waveform? If you could post your script you use he would help me determine what might happen. Could you give me some details of your program and how you go about programming your 6552. Thank you.

  • Pass the value of the variable during execution

    Hello

I have a package with a set of interfaces and three other variables.

I want to pass the value of the variable at runtime, based on the value passed I want to decide which interface to run then. How can I do this? I got a set variable but I want to asssign the value during execution.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    San

You have many options to achieve this goal.

    1. keep the run settings in the database, extract the Variables in a time of refreshment and use these variables in your Interfaces to get values of execution.

    2. change the value to the variables on the outside. You can declare a variable in a package as a step of the statement, and then use the variable in your interface in a successive step in your package. Then, create a scenario of your package and creating the scenario, it will prompt you to include the variables that you want to include as a startup parameter. Choose the one (s) concerned. Citing this scenario using Java or an OdiStartScen command or by using Webservices ODI externally, you can provide values of the runtime as a result.

    I hope this helps.

  • Capture the moment of execution prompt values to use in the formula of financial reports

    Hello
I need to ask two things:

    1. we create a report (via Hyperion Financial reporting tool) in which the user will select a month (through the execution of a command prompt) for which data should be displayed.
We need calculate and display in the report, A-T-D average until this month for which we have to count the chosen month (for example, our fiscal year starts from July, July count = 1. Y-T-D avg in October = A-T-D value until October/4). Therefore, to get this number, we need capture the value of the prompt of what month the user has selected.

There are several other cases where you need to capture the prompt values selected by the user.

    2. can we compare the current value of a dimension with a string in the IfThen() structure in the reporting tool hyperion financial? I was not able to achieve the same thing with success. Also, I need to get the value of a cell to use in an IfThen() State, but it only supports line or column number and not a cell (for example IfThen([1]=0,1,2) and not IfThen([1,B]=0,1,2)).

The pointers will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you and best regards.

    Hi NS

Have you seen the Workforce Planning or Capex Palnning for Hyperion Planning modules? They contain called members calendar TP-Index and Fiscal TP-Index (or something similar), these are members the value dynamic calc and their sole purpose is to return an index value for a given for use in formulas in Essbase reporting period (or as I've used them repeatedly in the reports).

If you set these to the top then in your report, you can use the command prompt to call the TP-Index for OCTS, for example 4 tax value in one column and the guest even recover your CDA value in a second column then in a third column simply divide one by the other. You could even do the calculation in Essbase so if needed and just get it back.

I do not think that the IfThen en function a text value.

    Hope this helps

  • Change the value of a Boolean switch rocker during execution

    Hello world

Is it possible to change the value of a switch to toggle Boolean during execution?

I make a program where the user can switch a relay switch.  However, I want the program to replace the user input if a measured value exceeds a predefined threshold.

The program below did almost what I want.  The major problem is that it if the measured value returns below the threshold, the relay will be awarded if the switch is set to 'true '.

  • Dynamic class loader during execution

    Hello

1 as far I understand J2ME does not support the loader class API, and so the only way to dynamically load a class when running is to call Class.forName (). Is this correct? Is there another way around this?

2 suppose I created a valid class file (' 'file:///SDCard/MyFiles/myClassFile.class ') during execution, if this file is located under the root of the SDCard, how I can call Class.forName and pass the name of the class file I just created? (The problem is that Class.forName expects a full qualified class name in the form: a.b.c.MyClassFile, while the file is physically located on the SD card.)

    Thank you

Forget the class files. RIM has its own format of distrition with cod. Do not rely on the normal route, the java classes are stored.

There is no "application" folder, you cannot add the classes here. Sorry

  • ORA - 06502:numeric or of value errORA-04088: error during execution of trigger

I received the following error message by entering a number in the maximum value (i.e. 9 999 999.) allowed in a data entry form that is distinct from the basic form:

    ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or error number precision value: ORA-06512 too big: "< owner >. < trigger >", line 194 ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger '< owner >. < trigger >.

Where < owner > is the schema name and < Trigger > is the name of the trigger. The block of data in the application for participation is based on a database table, and the sum of all the values entered (with a maximum value of 99.999.999.) appears in the form of Basic. A grand total of this amount along w / other totals on the basic shape is also displayed with a maximum value defined as 999 999 999. Only, I get the above error message when the total is greater than 99999999. If the total is less than or equal to 99.999.999, the basic form works very well. Why?

I checked all the attributes of the database columns and form fields and everything seems to be okay, and I'm out of my mind. I desperately need your help to solve this problem quickly because the pressure is on...

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello Hamid,

Thanks for your help. Yes, it works as suggested, after that I have increased the length of NUMBER data base table column (9) to NUMBER (11).

gives you the correct answer, and you don't mark it ;)

    >

Apparently, Oracle database truncates the decimal points and only update the value of 9 digits without giving errors, but the form of Oracle application is more picky and it generates forms and Oracle error messages when you run the application. It seems that there is a difference when executing the sql commands in the Oracle database and execution of these Oracle Forms application controls. Do you agree?

    Yes

  • Add fields dynamically during execution

    Hi Experts,

Is it possible to add fields to the form layout during execution. say at the click of a button similar to the Acro forms where we addFields() and deleteFields() methiods. InstanceManager can add subforms, but it is possible to add fields at run time.

    Kind regards.

    Rohit

Subforms by themselves do not nuch... .they contain content (as fields), so when you add a subform you're actually adding content in the subform. So to answer your question, you cannot dynamically add a field, but you can add a field indirectly by adding a subform.

    Make sense?

  • Can I change dynamically during execution Data Source?

I need run the same reports on test environment and the production environment. How could I change source data during execution, according to the users want to run reports by querying the database test or production without amendment report definition?

    Hello

what I would recommend in your case: set up your development/test systems as separate systems parallel to your production system. Clone your production environment for these development systems. Then a developer can login to the development system and run the reports (and modify it without touching the actual production system) and normal users work on the production system and only for validating them new developments, that they connect to the test system.

It's a standard approach in software development and COMPUTER systems operations.

How to watch your infrastructure, I have the impression that you have two databases and Server BI (prod and test)? Why not set up a test environment for the BI server, too?

    Best regards
    David.

  • modify VI during execution

    Dear users of LabView,

I have a fairly general question about the development of a project, which requires a continuous control of the material. To be more precise, I develop LabView control and DAQ software for calorimeters in high volume in the last 2 years. Such a system requires several PID controls, and it has many subsystems. Because of the large heat capacity, it takes about 3-4 days to launch the system. So if I need to edit for example something in control of the final of a specific subsystem, I stop the LabView code, I have change the specific part, I restart the system, I wait for 3 days, and then I can see the result of my changes.

My question is the sort of General: what is the good, let's say "best practice" to avoid such a dead time?

Is it possible to change a VI during execution?

I understand that if I run the independent screw, that dealing with subsystems, I could avoid this problem. But if I already have a compact 'main' VI, including all the subVIs, what can I do?

It would be nice to have a sort of "hot swapping" feature in LabView, so during the execution of main VI of my project, I could change the Subvi that I want, and when it is ready to activate, the runtime would swap with the old version.

Thanks for the tips and advice!

    Best wishes

    Hello

It all depends on how works your vi...

The only way I see is to use dynamic calls: a vi called dynamically is editable even if appellant vi is running.

If you change the callee until the caller calls the vi vi.

Is how the appellant under vi (this includes the values of connectors and run the VI):

  • Filter the Table during execution and keep uncommitted line changes

    Hello

I have a requirement which has been quite difficult for me so far.

I use the first version Jdev 12 c.

I have a table of AF that is connected to a ViewObject that is used for sending new data.

When I add lines to this ViewObject, I put a field that I intend to use for filtering so that the number of lines is not displayed at the same time.  This field comes from a selection of LOV.

I want to be able to change lines are displayed in the table based on what is the current value of selection LOV.  This isn't a problem for me, and it works perfectly using a view criteria and a variable transitional EO I put in place.

My problem is that when I select a new value in the LOV and change to bind the variable view criteria, I want all changes uncommitted to the lines to be preserved in the View object.  Currently, the lines are not keep their changes, and I need to do this, because after that the user has entered data for a large number of lines, there will be a commit to the database for all new lines added.  Is this possible or should I look for an alternative?

I also tried to use a table filter in the link of the page layer, but I get an error that I can't debug. It is marked as Houston-34014.  In this method, I try to access my bean in pageFlowScope to filter the table.  This bean variable is updated when the LOV selection changes.  Error messages settings are {0 = oracle.jbo.Key [-220-225], 1 = root}.  I also read that this filter parameter is a static filter and does not dynamically during execution.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading.
