Hi shiva55,
Check to see if the following is useful.
Method 1: Try to perform a disk cleanup and check if it helps.
Delete files using disk cleanup
Some of the files you are referring are system files that are required by the operating system, and you will not be able to remove them. But there may be malware infection as well.
Method 2: Perform an online scan to find any infections on the computer.

How to fix the fingerprint reader of the problems of compatibility with WIN 7 Sony Vaio VGN-SZ260P
The fingerprint reader does not work on my laptop Sony Vaio VGN SZ240P since I've updated from Windows XP. There must be a problem somewhere online. Everyone fell on this problem yet? And if so how do solve you this problem?
Hello Jason,
This will be a little problem. The only available fingerprint driver is for XP, the operating system on this computer comes with. There is a driver at this location: http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-download.pl?mdl=VGNSZ240P&upd_id=2134&os_group_id=13 which works on Vista with "loss of functionality.
So, if you have a 32-bit Windows 7 system (it will not work in a 64-Bit environment) do the following: download the XP / Vista driver and install it. Once its installed go to the program icon or the file itself and right click on it, selecting Properties in the window that opens. When the new window opens, go to the top row of tabs and select the Compatibility tab. When that shows check the box run in compatibility and mode in the drop-down list that appears, select Windows 7. Then select Apply and after that finishes select apply to all users. That brings up the same menu for all users - check the compatibility in the Windows 7 box, click on apply, then click OK and click OK.
If something does not work as I've described, post here with details and I'll try to work through it, with you. Let me know if this solves the problem for you.
Kind regards

Hi, I'm having so much worse for my webcam to work again after a clean installed Windows 7 64-bit (I used to run 32-bit vista). I searched the net and found many many people with the same problem but no solution yet that works for me. My last attempt:
I manually installed these drivers recommended on this forum: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-hardware-devices/1135698.htm
With the help of the method 'have disk '. Installation seemed to happen, but no program does not recognize my webcam. Skype, for example, seems to work, but the video is just black.
In Device Manager > features the webcam is listed as "RY5U870/VGA-CAM F01_UVC of Imaging.
"and noted that"this device works fine."" Many people have suggested to try to download the originals and installation using Vista compatibility, but I can't get these drivers to 64-bit, and when I download the 32-bit drivers, unfortunately they do not work.I understand that I hit a wall here on my laptop model Sony support (now obsolete), but I feel that there must be a work around that people found out there somewhere. Can someone help me get my webcam goes again?

Microphone does not work after upgrade from Vista Home Premium to win 7 Home Basic Edition. Laptop model Sony Vaio VGN-NS25G, bought in India
My built-in mic not working anymore after the upgrade from Vista Home Premium to win 7 Home Basic Edition. Model laptop Sony Vaio VGN-NS25G was bought in India. I have taken the loacl Sony Service Center and they said that Windows 7 drivers for the microphone Sony was not yet available. They mentioned that the only way to fix the problem was to upgrade to Vista. Is this true? Where can I get these drivers for the microphone, and they are not available, when will they be available?
Hello
Method 1.
Interestingly, I found the drivers for Windows 7 for this particular model of Vaio. Here is link thye:
http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/download/362654/product/VGN-ns25g/sectionfirst?subpage=detailI suggest updating all your drivers from the link above and drivers Realtek especially.
Method 2. Set the default Microphone.
Once the drivers installed to check if the microphone is the default value, here's how:
Exercise the functions mentioned below to adjust the Microphone as default:
1. Click Start and click on Control Panel.
2. click on sound, then a new window will open.
3. in the new windows, click on the 'Registration' tab and right click in the window and click Show disabled devices.
4. now check if the Microphone is listed there and right-click on it and choose activate.
5. turn highlighted that Microphone and click "set as default".

Sony Vaio VGN-Z31WN
Windows Vista professional.
Serial number: 28286061
Service etiquette: J003R5FO
IMEI: 355891020417161
I recently had some work to my computer and when I came back, my Adobe suite has been uninstalled.
What steps should I take to re - install / checking the codes etc?
Reinstall from the original with the original serial number disks. There is a good chance it will work. If she says "too many activations", you must contact Adobe.
Please be aware that this is a public forum and all information that you post can be seen by the world. It's often a bad idea to post the serial numbers, because they can be stolen and Rob you of what you paid for. (Less a matter of concern for the machine numbers, but a real problem for the software). There is nothing that we can do your series of Sony or the serial number, only Sony could use it.

Sony Vaio VGN-NW270F not illuminate, no LED light with battery cable or power supply
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-NW270F, it is quite dead. No led light, no boot, nothing. No lights with battery or power cable. I did some research:
1. I did press the button power for 60 seconds, nothing. (Battery and cable not plugged in)
2. I replaced the DC power jack in my research, it is said that the laptop can turn off completely if the plug or the charging circuit has problems. The motherboard looks fairly integrated, I do not see a power billing for the circuits that may be outside the MB.
3. I plugged a different power cable, nothing.
4. I can't find a replacement MB online which is less than $1,000.
5. I see not all covers of breath, or a repair kit online.
Anyone, has any idea what should I do then? And for sarcastic readers of this post, yes I know. But rampage it seems such a waste... Even for a computer dead.

SONY Vaio VGN-AW360J will not power
Hi all
I'm new to the Group of users, and this is my first posting.
I have a SONY Vaio VGN-AW360J, the keyboard is for quite awhile, buggy not allowing the good boot-up, lock up, creation of random key entries and sorting. I found that if I opened the laptop, access to the slick KB then disconnect and reconnect it LT would work normally until I later had to reboot for some reason any. I ordered an exact replacement KB and I'm waiting for delivery is however now the LT does not power on at all. I checked the presence of 19.5 VDC at the level of the connector on the main Board after taking power, but don't know where else to check even if I can with my simple digital multimeter. I did all the procedures proposed on the site of Sony support without change. The symptoms are the following: no indication of power to the power switch, no green light. DC power is present on all four positions at the level of the connector PCB (PCN1). There is no change with or without the defective original keyboard connected and no change with all removable devices disconnected i.e.: CD/DVD drive, hard disk and RAM all removed from the main Board.
Then, Oh, my darling Sony Vaio is completely dead in the preverbal waters of my digital life. My big question is, does anyone have knowledge of this problem and is at - it no reasonable or logical hope through the necessary repairs, if any?
TKS,
Dave S.Sorry for this Santec,
I just explained on my post that the issue is already material. I'll also send you a private message for the info. Here's the correct link: https://community.sony.com/t5/VAIO-Hardware-Networking/How-do-I-get-assistance-with-my-VAIO-Laptop/m...

Micro pc Sony Vaio VGN-UX180P memory manufactured standard 512Mbytes, quite low for this miraculous micro pc...
I am not sure, but I can pass the memory by adding additional 512Mbytes?
Doesn't look like the Sony VAIO UX has the memory locations. All memory is soldered on the motherboard. You can download disassembly guides here (http://www.micropctalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119&page=5).
