case switch in oracle forms6i

Hai

If is it possible to use the switch housing in oracle forms6i. Pls tell me

Concerning
Srikkanth.M

As I told you in your other thread (would be nice in the forum do not deal with multiple instances of the same issue)
You probably miss to check one condition... that will allow the 'update' branches fof your code... you are checking the same conditions to switch between the insert (respondent) and update (outtime) so that your code always executes insert branch

    Hi all!

    I just ran a report of Diagnostic Agent service RDA (Remote) and have found a lot of information on our company database system.

    Among the interesting findings is that newspaper that shows recovery logs archiving.

    It seems that it is quite often archiving. This means that our recovery logs is too small (they are 50 MB)? Please check the date and time stamp of the columns in the papers below for details.

    Also, sorry for the column headers and columns being not very well aligned. I hope that it is readable for you anyway.

    From what I can understand with so many archives (8) in the id space 3-5 minute too high. You need to think about increasing the size redolog say about 500 MB in your case. The rule says 1 switch journal every 20 minutes... It IS a statistic of rush hour?

    And in this mode, your Dataguard works?

    Help, please.

    Give you an example of how to do to get there.

    Step 1. Create three elements of the Page

    (1) P1_ORDER_NO - text field

    (2) P1_REVISION_NO - text field

    (3) P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO - hidden, protected value - no.

    2 create dynamic Actions 3

    (1) disable the revision on the loading of the page number

    Event - loading of the Page

    Action - disable

    Fires when the result of the event is - real

    Selection type - point

    Point - P1_REVISION_NO

    (2) check the number of duplicate order

    Event - change

    Selection type - item (s)

    Article (s) - P1_ORDER_NO

    Condition - is not null

    Action - to execute the PL/SQL Code

    Generate in front of false action - not checked

    Fires when the result of the event is - real

    Fire on page load - disabled

    Stop execution on error - checked

    Wait for the result - verified

    PL/SQL - code

    declare
    l_count number;
    begin
      select count(*) into l_count
        from emp
       where empno = :P1_ORDER_NO;

    if l_count > 0 then
      :P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO := 1;
    else
      :P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO := 0;
    end if;
    end;

    To present the page = P1_ORDER_NO

    Page referred to return = P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO

    (3) enable and disable the revision number

    Event - change

    Selection type - item (s)

    Action - disable

    Generate the opposite action of false - verified

  • Switch from Oracle Forms to ADF - bandwidth

    Hello, to a project that I am, we are to modernize Oracle Forms (11g on the web) to ADF Jdeveloper 11. XXX - we are looking at keeping the same server or to go to a new server with more basic, but which would increase our license costs.

    The question I would like to know is if ADF requires a faster server get the same service. I ask this question because I noticed that it takes longer to open ADF created forms etc. with Oracle Forms.

    Any suggestions? Stories of misfortune?

    Thank you
    Stuart

    Hello

    I migrate an application Forms FAD, and a conclusion: we need more memory on your servers. Just a little, but you know Oracle ADF consume more memory than FORMS, because it is full JAVA.
    You can contact Oracle support for more information.

    Pls tell me the steps how to create and how to call the sequence of database

    Thanks in advance

    Srikkanth.m

    Hello
    Sequence, you can create in the database and you can use this sequence generation sequence number forms
    Creation, see link below...
    http://www.techonthenet.com/Oracle/sequences.php
    http://psoug.org/reference/sequences.html

    To generate numbers forms use like that...

    For each entry at the time of save you can use on PRE-INSERT of block level
    SELECT SEQUENCE_NAME.NEXTVAL
    INTO :FORM_FIELD_NAME
    FROM DUAL;

    Ok

  • Worst case in the Oracle database scenarios

    Hello.

    I have Oracle 11 g on my PC (XP) and would like to run the situations that might arise in a production environment - tree example datafiles loser, losing control of files, incomplete recovery, DR reconstruction etc.. The intention is to improve my understanding.

    Can someone offer one advises on how do better? Is there maybe an internet source I can use?

    Thank you.

    Can I use the case switch with radio buttons?

    What will be the parameter to determine the choice like xfa.event.newText is used for the drop-down list.

    Aditya

    Hi Aditya,

    Select the exclusion group in the hierarchy (you have no script each option button) and select the click event. The switch statement would use the this.rawValue.

    Hope that helps,

  • Problem SQL querry (case statement...)

    Hi to everyone who reads this.

    I have a huge problem (at least for me) with a SQL I try to write in Oracle forms6 (yes I know... old app).

    OK, here it goes...

    We have a table like:
    create table temp (
      year     number
      month    number,
      konto    number,
      DEBET    number,
      KREDIT   number,
      date_tr  date,
      ind      number
    );
    The data in the table are:
     YEAR        MONTH    KONTO      DEBET     KREDIT DATE_TR  IND
    ---------- ---------- ----- ---------- ---------- -------- -
          2011          1 12101   4674,32           0 05.06.11
          2011          6 12101  -4674,32           0 05.06.11 R
          2011          6 12182   4674,32           0          R
    Now, to explain a little what I want to do...
    case when p_date > NVL(date_tr,'01012004') then
    date_tr is null;
    else
    ind is null
    end
    What I need is when p_date is entered by a user SQL should check if the date is less or greater than date_tr...
    in this case it should show only the record that has a null value in date_tr cullum.

    Or if it isn't... it should display records which is null in ind cullum.

    The main problem is that I do not know how to write the case statement in SQLs where clause... maybe someone can give me a hint
    or a partial code how do I solve this problem.

    Any ideas would be greatly apreciated.

    Thanks to you all!
