• I lost the most views drop-down list under the search bar, it used several times in the same session, and then he just disappeared.

  Hi, hopefully a screenshot can make things more clear - when you right click in the area of the red dot, then a popup menu will appear where you can re-enable the toolbar of bookmarks.

  The drop-down list will also behind in Safari and Chrome. So I would say that the fact that it works in Internet Explorer is just pure luck (or quirks of IE) and FF, Safari and Chrome are entitled.

  In general, the css property that stacks one element on the other is the z-index:

  But I don't see any z-index used in the menu or the image rotation.

  So if these two elements are z-index 0 default (no declared z-index), positioning will then have juvenile which item is displayed... rotating images cancels the drop... so to speak.

  I couldn't test a good z-index applied to the menu, so I applied a negative (below zero) z-index to '#rotating - point - wrapper' (via Firebug) and got the menu to display on top of the images.

  So for the test, add a negative z-index to "#rotating - point - wrapper"... just to see the z-indexing can solve the problem." then if you don't like using a negative z-index, apply good z-index in the menu dropdown.

• Added drop-down list for the title bar

  Hi - I want to add a menu component from the 'title bar ' of my application.  Something very similar to that implemented in the Poynt application.

  I already gave up to use something similar to setTitle and have a horizontalFieldManager added to my request before I add a vertical Manager.  First, I added a label to my horizontal Manager field and that works fine, but when I tried (to test) to add an ObjectChoiceField he appeared on the next vertical row, not next to my text.  I'm quite lost when it comes to customize aspects of the UI of my BB apps.

  I suspect that the problem here is that, by default, the ObjectChoiceField will use the entire width.  You should limit its width, by substituting the layout and getPreferredWidth for the ObjectChoiceField.  Memory, a LabelField, will ask only for the width it needs.

  Here is an example that puts a DateField and an ObjectChoiceField in the title area.  I hope you can rework to meet your requirement.

  There is no built-in opportunities to change the menus of the application. The easiest way to do this is by using the editor from Menu Add-on.

• How to trigger a refresh of a drop-down list when the selection is changed

  This is a general question of ExtendScript, but since I work with FM, I'll ask here first. I have a bit of a paradox here and I'm not sure of the best way to manage it.

  I have a dialog box with a drop-down list, where I want to refresh some controls when the user changes the selection in the list (dropdownList.onChange). This includes them refresh the content of the list itself. However, the problem is, whenever I try to update the content of the list, onChange triggers again. So, if I put the call to update box in the onChange handler, it will result an infinite loop, because my upgrade function fires onChange when it refreshes the list.

  Does anyone know a better methodology, where I can safely triggers a refresh of a drop-down list in the list's onChange event handler? I really wish that onChange was reserved for an action of the user only, or at least there is a property for this purpose.

  You can't "Refresh" a menu drop-down.

  But you can rebuild.

  You must do it "manually".

  As I do:

  1. I have a picture I want to show in the dropdownlist control.

  2. I have delete all children: myList.removeAll ();

  3 I have rebuild the list via mylist.add ("item", "myArray [index] in a for - loop.

  But if you know the exact position of the elements to remove or add, you can do so via splice()

  I am trying to build a form using LiveCycle Acrobat but have problems with the drop-down lists.

  Inititaly I just wanted to fill in the fields in a table based on a matching menu selection dropdown in another table.

  I used the following code and it worked fine:

  You use .rawValue in the change event. This will cause problems because the selection of the users has not received .rawValue from the drop-down list at the time when the change event is triggered.

  Move your script as it should to the output of the dropdown event.

I can get the drop down menu to populate the text field when it is on the same page, but as soon as I move the text field to another page, the script does not work. Can anyone offer a solution? I used javascript on the changes to the scripts.

  I wish the menu drop-down arrow in the address bar to show my favorites instead of show what I typed recently. I use the menu drop-down to go to my most visited sites, so this would be the prefect. Is there an extension that will do this, or something similar?

  You can change a setting: Options > privacy > section of the address bar, change of "bookmarks"; which will display only your bookmarks.

• What happened to the drop-down list of the previous pages on the back button? I see it in 'history', but it is slower to get to.

  There used to be a drop-down list on the back button, and I think that the forward stop button, too, so that I could jump to the previous page without paging a descendant both. Find my story now and clicking on a page are much slower.

  Use one of them to open the tab history list:

  • Right-click on the back or next button
  • Press and hold the left button of the mouse on the active back or forward button until the list opens
