• Anyone else get randomly disconnected backward compatibility games? I'm about to give up the program.

  Whenever I play a games backwards Compatibility (BC) 360 I randomly cut from Xbox Live, but only on the 360 end not the end of the Xbox One (XB1). Here are a few notes for intelligent types:

  -It is not isolated to a game because it happens to me on Left 4 Dead 2, Gears of War 2, Peggle, COD: Black Ops, AND MORE.

  -Coming when I broadcast, coming when I broadcast. (I like to broadcast and this hinders my ability to do)
  -Not my connection because I'm staying on XBL on the dashboard XB1.  In addition, my other devices are connected.
  -Only occur on XB1 games... ever
  -Sometimes when I'm in a group of XB1 and 360.  Occurs when I'm not in a party.

  -My download is between 50-100 Mbps, Upload is between 15-30mbps

  -I'm on a wireless signal, reception of 100%.  Move to a wired connection soon to try this (doubtful).

  -J' forwarded the ports required for XBL according to Support.

  -J' went down the firewall on my router.

  -J' deleted games and reinstalled them.

  -J' deleted my profile player and re-uploaded on XB1 and 360.

  -My NAT type is OPEN.

  -No matter if its on disk or not. I actually bought L4D2 digitally even if I have the drive to try to alleviate the problem

  I'm not there are more things I forgot.  As you can see I have tried almost everything and got no results.  I contacted the support like 5 times and that is why the list is so complete.  It's incredibly frustrating when even people to Xbox support can help me then I'm going to try this as a last ditch.  I'm about to give up compatibility backwards and I have a large catalog of games that I NEVER threw.  Been a member XBL for 11 years in very good condition.

  I hope you guys and girls can help or at least it attracts the attention of young people the tech guys to Xbox.

  If it is before 11.1.2.3.500, then there will be such issues as pointed out 'Essbase Administration Services (EAS) outline 11.1.2.3.500 to 11.1.2.3.000 empty file Migration Wizard creates (Doc ID 1927334.1).

  Migration of a glimpse through earlier versions is certainly risky and you're only going to be clear if it is rebuilt.

• Backwards compatibility of the CC Lr Lr 5 for temporary subscription

  I bought Lightroom 5 in November 2014 and I hope temporarily to CC (Lr and Photoshop). This is to make use of the panorama of Lightroom CC and HDR features but also using photoshop to merge images. I only have the demand for these functions to a handful of images, however, and so I'm likely to use the software temporarily for one month subscription.

  My concern is the backwards compatibility of the software, and how my Lightroom 5 software is affected by the CC. Will I be able to use CC with my current library and after use it simply continue with Lr 5 and the new images? CC will be autonomous and does not affect my purchased version?

  LR CC is not available for a monthly subscription.  You purchase a subscription of $120 / year with a plan to pay $ 10 / month, but for all 12 months, not only for one.

  The only way to get a monthly subscription would be to a Single App to the month PS CC subscription for $30 / month.  PS/ACR will be able to do the same HDR and Panos LR, so my suggestion would be to get a subscription in single-app in PS, then make your HDR and Panos and save those 16-bit TIF, then import these objectives into LR 5.

• Lightroom Catalog backward compatibility

  I have CC on my work computer, that travels with me.  The main computer that I use for series 5 Lightroom to photo editing.  If I have a catalog to export and open it in Lightroom CC - can I open it later with the old version of Lightroom?  (In other words - is it backward compatibility?)

  Catalogue Lightroom CC are not accessible in Lightroom 5.

  It is not impossible to write a program that works as expected with 1.3.1 and fails with 1.4.4.
  Sometimes this happens when a new feature in 1.4.4 exposes a bug in your mail server.

• Backward compatibility in CS5 inDesign a MAJOR issue

  I'm a print designer who works in InDesign. I bought CS3 Design Premium in summer 2008. Shortly after CS4 came out, but after only having forked on a big piece of change, I decided against upgrading to CS4 right away. Recently, I considered the upgrade but then heard that CS5 came out so I decided to postpone the upgrade and wait for the new software. I just checked the trial version of InDesign CS5 and after talking with Support Adobe came to the conclusion that I can not upgrade to CS5. Why? Compatibility BACK to CS3. Export functions previously available which provided a way for worms backward compatibility via an .inx file disappeared.

  I design freelance for a large number of different clients, and once the design is complete, I need to provide my customers the InDesign file and all associated policies ad images. Most of my clients are still on CS3. If I upgrade to CS5 I instantly not will be able to work for 2/3 of my clients, I would have no way to save a file back to CS3. Adobe support told me that I would need to buy CS4 and CS5, as I could save my CS5 file to the IDML format and open it in CS4 and then I could save the CS4 file as an INX file and open that is CS3. THEY ARE CRAZY? It must first be version 3 and InDesign running on my computer all the time and secondly, why should I buy CS4 when I pay extra to upgrade to CS5 because I didn't upgrade from CS4 versions? It's so messed up that it must be an oversight - please tell me there is a current patch!

  PS - I have never posted on a forum before, so if I have broken the rules of etiquette of forum or somehow offended, I apologize now and if I (and Adobe Support staff I talked to) have forgotten something, please enlighten me!

• Workstation 12 Pro backward compatibility with previous versions.

  After having been informed on a cat to support Workstation 12 Pro is fully compatible with all previous versions, I buy the product.   After installation, I try to open a virtual machine created in Workstation 8 without success.   I went to the preferences box and configure the product for 8 x compatibility, with the same results.

  After double clicking the VM vmx file, the product does absolutely nothing, no errors, no message, nothing.   I want to know if this product really is backward compatible and if this is the case, what should I do to make it work with the virtual machines created in WS 8 x?

  Through our discussion, we did the below steps, and this has helped us to solve the problem:

  1. from the VMX file, we have deleted similar entries to:

  Policy.VM.mvmtid = ' 52 6f 36 0f 31 9f f3 f9 d6 da 9f f5 90 7B this 76.

  policy.vm.managedVMTemplate = 'TRUE '.

  policy.vm.managedVM = "FALSE".

  2. we have built and rebuilt the two files 'VMware political' outside of the virtual machine and then we were able to power on the virtual machine.

  Now, everything should continue to be stable and we should not have problems.

  No, webOS is not compatible with PalmOS programs.

  There is a program of emulator for PalmOS on sale that offers limited under the name of Motion Apps 'Classic' compatibility

  last night, I installed creative cc on my mac. Replace my cs 6.3 lightroom app. In the future when I might stop my creative cc license is my lghtroom cs6 then backward compatible? And how do I know when the compatibility stops, when cs7 will come out? Because as far as I know cc is always updated automatically.

  As long as the LR CC 2015 catalogues are compatible with your 6 Lightroom, you're fine.

  If LR CC advances to the next major version (perhaps called LR CC 2016?), you cannot use this catalogue LR 6.

• Broken CC2015 Photoshop gradient tool. In addition, not toward backward compatibility is a very bad idea.

  I installed CC2015 on my Macbook pro computer laptop and I can not use the gradient tool. It won't change the settings. When I try to use the foreground to transparent parameter in any selection tool just fills the area completely selected. I tried to reset the tool. I tried to reset all tools. I tried to delete the preferences. None of this helps.

  I had to go back to CC2014. The problem is not with my machine, there a new logicboard and everything is up to date on this subject.

  So many people on this forum have problems with CC2015 on Mac and PC. He was not ready for general public use and should not have been made public yet.

  I pay two subscriptions and I'm really not happy with the time I had to spend fixing the machine on which I have installed this.

  I have owned a Photoshop since version 2.0 and I've never complained even though I should have, but it is going too far. Knowingly made any software that creates data that are not backward compatible. Bad idea Adobe. Even Microsoft market back this idea and Sony is fast trying to correct this error as well. The market didn't support it long term.

  We are working with other people share us files that run different versions of the software. We have absolutely no control over this. Please fix this. It affects our income. Subscriptions talk were bad enough. Please do not force this on us also.

  The gradient tool has not changed in 2015 of CC and the same previous versions works for everyone - please check all your settings on the gradient tool bar options (or just the tool to reset).

  And no, there is no problem of compatibility that we know.

• Power supply N6700B Low Profile pilot backward compatibility

  I've recently updated the instrument for the Agilent N6700B Low Profile Power Supply drivers on my system. I run LabView 8.2.1. For some reason, the new LabView VIs have all their VISA Instrument inputs and outputs incompatible with my previous thread and definitions of port at the top level VI. We don't know yet what exactly is different, but I need to remove the wire and the port at the top level VI and re-create it. Do this for all my screws where this driver is used is very tedious...  Is this really a compatibility problem, and this is known?  No work around available?

  Unfortunately, I do not know what was the previous version of the driver N6700 overall.

  One thing I noticed and found strange: on a separate system where the pilot works fine (which I assume is the old driver), the pilot of VI property indicates the revision number is 104. On the newly updated system, the same driver VI property indicates that the revision number is 16. Does this mean my update failed?

• Backward compatibility of NIDAQmx version?

  I would like to get a better understanding of how backward compatible are NOR-DAQmx drivers.

  Currently, my software has been compiled using version library C/C++-OR-DAQmx 9.0 and supports several cards (for example, PCI/PXI-6225) M Series multifunction.    If my users to install the latest version of the NOR-DAQmx driver (which is the version 9.0.2) then can I safely assume that my software will work without any problem?   The question I ask is what is the driver OR-DAQmx library backward compatible with software written for an earlier version of the library?

  Hi Ian,

  Your assumption is correct, the software should work without any problems. You are referencing a dll file and header DAQmx and this location does not change, no matter what your users have installed the version of the driver.

  You could see a problem if they have a version earlier than 9.0 because each new driver version includes additional features and new features. If they have an older version, it may not include support for something that makes your code.

  However, you should be good to go.
