  I've done a few consumer casual producer marks written in C with visual studio 2005 on dual core 2 ghz cpu, with processor type and identical win xp professional o.s., it seems to me on ESX, execution mutex, events and corresponding waitforsingleobject is 1/10th to 1/2 the speed on the physical machine, Windows 7 instead the performance is about half of the corresponding physical machine I was wondering if anyone else noticed, this is perhaps due to how mutex/criticism sections/events/semaphores are emulated in the ESX binary translation, there are all the settings of windows xp 32 bits comments under ESX 5 to allow especially stimulate the sync speed of process/thread to make it similar to a physical machine may?

  Windows XP 64-bit is another option.  He always denigrated on the TPR, but uses instead of MMIO CR8. (AMD hotfix did the same thing with an ISA AMD extension that allows the code to 32-bit access CR8.)

  Note also that FlexPriority is not a panacea.  It can reduce the cost of a TPR of 2000 update ~ cycles to ~ 400 cycles, but it is still far from what it costs in native mode, which is of ~ 2 cycles.

  Binary translation, TPR updates are rather cheap, but BT has its own performance issues.

This question has never happened before, I have owned this PC for 2 years now and never stumbled upon something like that. When I run something like Windows Update my PC returns to the State, it should be, but after its been check updates and my PC is back to having problems. I use a program called "Razer Cortex' for my PC back to what it was before all these problems began to occur. I think some thing in the process systems are realize these questions, but I'm not sure. I would really like to have a fix for this problem to my PC that she had a few weeks back.

• Very, very slow performance

  The performance of Lightroom on my computer became, at times, horribly slow.  My iMac is rebooted and do not open any other programs or browsers, it just took about eight minutes to import the 23 files and a few more minutes to build 1:1 previews.  When things work very well that it may take a minute.  (I always build 1:1 on import previews and it comes up with the recently imported as well as the older files, is not a matter of having to build previews on the fly).  I have had extremely slow performance ("Loading") just go from one photo to another in the library modules and develop or move from one module to another, usually up to about 90 seconds, or when LR "prepare the file" for export or edit in PS.  But not always - sometimes it is quite zippy - and there is no pattern that I can see.  Generally when this happens, 'pressure' of the memory and the processor are normal, but it happens when its use is minimal as well.  Sometimes, there is a ball rotation range, but are generally not.

  My catalog has about 30 k pictures and very few presets of any kind.  Probably 75% of these records were never published at all.  I do not hundreds of local equalization, rarely more than a decade in an image.  I have about 40 smart Collections with an average of several hundred images each.  I rarely use intelligent previews.  I optimize and save the catalog each time that I use LR, which is a few times a week.  My file/folder structure is simple and clean: / Pictures/year/day.

  I use LR 5.4 on an iMac mid-2011, 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 with 16 GB of memory.  I have the Lightroom Catalog and previews on the primary drive, which is a 250 GB SSD with about 100 GB free.  (The problem happened when my catalog was the different internal disk, too).  My Pictures folder is on an internal hard drive with 100 GB available.  I have set to 50GB maximum cache size.  I'm running the Mavericks but it was just too slow under Mountain Lion.  It was just as slow in the previous Lightroom, major and minor versions.  Other programs/applications run fine on my computer, including Photoshop.  (Generally, LR performance is the same whether the PS is running.)  The only problem with performance, I noticed since switching to the Mavericks is Finder to hold for a few seconds each time than in quite awhile.

  I've seen this problem in Lightroom called on various forums, including the Adobe forums for some time - years - and I've never seen a definitive solution.  I think that I have answered all the questions that are commonly asked.  Is there a solution to this?  I use LR 30-40 hours per week.  I am pulling my hair and the ability to switch to another program would be the last resort, but I might have to do.

  I appreciate the suggestions.  I tried to use a new catalog with only a couple hundred pictures and the same thing happens.  I'm sure that my ssd is very good because Photoshop and many other applications use without delays.  However, so far I have never had these problems on my Macbook, which runs also Maverick, so I start to wonder if it is largely a problem with my iMac.

  It's the dump reporting tool and it runs when some program/process causes an error in the system. Therefore, you should know what that the root of the error and fix it. Since you told us nothing about your computer and its recent history, here is general information on troubleshooting a slow computer:

  Some reasons for the slow pace of the computer:

  6. the user runs an inflated/invasive such as Norton and McAfee antivirus program. Replace it with a better program. I recommend NOD32 (commercial) or Avast (free). Avira is also good, but the free version has an unpleasant reminder screen (Google for instructions on how to disable it). The user can also run several real-time antivirus/firewall/security programs.

  7. the user has installed new programs that are processor and/or memory-intensive (Photoshop, AutoCAD, Mathmatica or similar) and does not have the power of the equipment.

• Develop module disabled in the trial version?

  I just downloaded the trial version of Lightroom and started working on my photos.  However, when I go in the develop module, I don't see instead of my picture is a large blue rectangle with an X in it.  Is it normal when you are using the trial version, or is there something wrong with my implementation?

  This could be due to the incompatibility of graphics card or issue drivers.

  You have to go in the Lightroom preferences > performance > uncheck the option use the graphics processors

  There are problems with the GPU. The first thing I would suggest you try is to performance tab in your Lightroom preferences and uncheck the box and see if that makes a difference. It has cleared up problems for many other users. The GPU acceleration seems to be a work in progress at this stage.

• Slow performance with P410i need to hardware upgrade?

  I saw this chapter on the release notes (http://www.vmware.com/support/vsphere4/doc/vsp_esx40_vc40_rel_notes.html):

  "Slow performance during virtual machine put under tension, or disk IO on ESX/ESXi on HP G6 P410i or controller Smart Array P410 of platform

  Some of these hosts can show slowed performance over the power of the VM on or by generating a disk i/o. The main symptom is degraded performance of e/s, causing a large number of error messages similar to the following to be recorded in the logs.

  Has anyone encountered this problem? I would like to know if this problem appears with the disk i/o of the service console (in its vmdk files?).

  We recently bought a ML350 G6 with disks SAS 3 x 146GM 15 k and base Comptroller P410i.  I was appalled when deploying a VM from a 20 GB model took 7 hours and slowed down the other virtual machine running on the box to a crawl.  We have added the cache of 512 MB with the dough and the difference is like night and day.  Deploy from the same model now completes in less than 15 minutes.

• HP BL460c slow performance with Mez Qlogic FC.

  I am under 16 blades ESXi with Qlogic FC mezzanine cards.  Performance have been greate to the Build number:

  153840 on March 20, 2009.   After the upgrade to the Build number: 153875, qlogic module took more than 30 minutes to load and later all the modules load very, very slowly.  I tried every generation since March 20, and they all lead to very slow startup time and slow CF performance with lots of timeouts.

  Today, took me to update to the latest version of the HP BIOS for server, network cards, Qlogic and the ILO.  And I had no luck.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  Im a user of long date Mac but displays the first time that I was pretty happy with everything that on my macbook pro for the past years... until I installed Sierra a day ago.

  Try this second in normal startup mode: what happens if you create a new user account and log in as that user, the problems go away?

  I'm not sure I'd worry about the plane crashes - it is listed as beta software
