CCTK 2.2.1 - deepsleepctrl & lowpowers5

Prior to 2.2.1 there is an option in the GUI cctk for lowpowers5. When I tried to open this cctk in 2.2.1 file I get the following:

"The Option lowpowers5 is not found in list CCTK supported for this version. The option will be ignored. »

In 2.2.1 documentation, lowpowers5 is always listed. ???

I noticed that there is an option of deepsleepctrl. Is it the same? If I create a new cctk CES/EXE deepsleepctrl will configure BIOS that have "low power mode" on the position I want?

Otherwise, is it possible to create a cctk CES/EXE that has both lowpoers5 and deepsleepctrl?

Thank you

Giles

Hi Iskyfly,

BIOS moved support for lowpowers5 in deepsleepctrl, so the previous is not visible.

The "deepsleepctrl" takes in charge the suite optoins

  • S5only
  • S4andS5
  • Disable

So please try option "S5only" listed under deepsleepctrl.

    Hello

I'm going to erase the password hard drive with the following command:

I need a solution to clear the password of HDD without being invited.

This is the current solution and requires manual checking at the moment.  We are in discussion with the teams of HARD drive to see if we can do it anonymously in a future release.

  • CCTK V2.2.1 problem with password Admin actions

    Nice day.

I am trying to configure a build custom offline process and I implemented a WinPE image with a few controls and remote files ini FILE to configure the BIOS settings for the technicians in offline mode.  I hit a deer where CCTK put my Admin password, but it does not recognize the password now.

Here is the result of my batch file:

    X:\Windows\System32>CCTK.exe--setuppwd is Abc! 23

    Password is configured successfully.

    X:\Windows\System32>CCTK--setuppwd = - valsetuppwd = Abc! 23

    X:\Windows\System32>CCTK--setuppwd = - valsetuppwd = Abc! 23

The supplied password is incorrect. Please try again.

Anyone have any ideas?  I have a call with Dell to get these unlocked Admin passwords.

Has anyone experienced this and worked around it?

    Hi VANGUARDHYDRA,

The password that you used here is to have a more symbol "=" in the first command. so the bios password you set is "= Abc! 23"and not" Abc. " 23 ".

Then please use this command below to clear your password.

    CCTK - setuppwd = - valsetuppwd == Abc! 23

A valid command to set the password is: cctk.exe - setuppwd = Abc! 23

  • CCTK WinPE TPM Activation fails every time

Currently, I am trying to build a task sequence using SCCM 2012 using the new pre configuration of BitLocker feature.  I followed the steps where you can use CCTK in WinPE to create a BIOS password, activate the TPM, activate TPM, then remove the BIOS password.  However, the first two steps work when it comes actually to activate the TPM, it fails.  The laptop is a Latitude 6410 and I updated the BIOS to A13.  Whenever I try the sequence of tasks, making sure that the TPM module belongs not so I delete it and I also make sure that there is no password defined.

The only way to activate the TPM secure is to go into the BIOS manually and activate it, which is ridiculous in an enterprise environment.  The whole point in the prior step of provisioning is to encrypt the drive until Windows is installed, thus completing the process of encryption much more quickly.

In reading the other previous posts, it seems that it is a common problem that needs solving.  Someone has experienced this problem and it is effectively resolved?

I found the answer that I'm really surprised.  If you remove the "=" after valsetuppwd and before the BIOS password, it works!  So, it should be written like this:

    CCTK.exe - tpmactivation = enable valsetuppwd-[BIOS password]

Of course, this may be different for other models or versions of BIOS, but it works!

What happened twice on two laptops Dell Latitude E6420.

    CCTK version is 2.2.1

Never had a problem with CCTK done this before in our environment of MDT.  This is the first time I'm trying to run a batch file and CCTK via a WinPE image.

I called Dell technical support to try to get unlocked BIOS.  If anyone knows where the order has badly filmed?

Is there something that I forget trying to clear the admin password?

I do this for a completely offline set up and installation USB Stick Windows image.

    Thank you!

    Hi VanguardHydra

Please use the command clear your password below. symbol "=" is extra in your set password command.

    CCTK - setuppwd = - valsetuppwd == Abc! 23

A valid command to set the password is: cctk.exe - setuppwd = Abc! 23

  • CCTK 2.2.1 does actually change the boot on the 780s order

CCTK 2.2.1 does actually change the boot on the 780s order

    CCTK.exe bootorder - sequence = embnic - valsetuppwd, usbdev, floppy, CD-ROM, disk hard = % CURRENTBIOSPASSWORD %

    Returns

    bootorder
    DeviceStatus DeviceNumber DeviceType abbreviation DeviceDescription
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Permits 0 Onboard floppy diskette or floppy USB drive
1 disk hard hdd.1 Onboard SATA Hard Drive led
6 usbdev of USB device USB device enabled
Permit 4 CDRom cdrom onboard or USB CD-ROM drive
5 NIC embnic integrated network controller card enabled
Helped 2 disk hdd.2 hard drive
3 hdd.3 of disk hard drive led
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can use DeviceNumber or abbreviation to set the boot order.
    Example1: cctk bootorder - sequence 1, 2, 3 = - disabledevice = 1 - enabledevice = 2, 3
    Example2: cctk bootorder - sequence = cdrom, hdd.2, hdd.1 - disabledevice = hdd.2 - enabledevice = cdrom, hdd.1
In file operation, same command can write like bootorder = + cdrom, - hdd.2, + hdd.1

But in reality does not change the order in BIOS (A13). Same line works on other models.

Well I eventually disable the devices to boot one by one and found out that my hard drive is actuall hdd.2

    If it works comand running

    • CCTK.exe bootorder - sequence = hdd.2, usbdev, cdrom

Final update (hopefully!). I tried with an older version of the CCTK (2.0) and it worked very well, so this seems to be just a problem with the latest version.

  • CCTK.exe - tpmactivation = activate MDT 2010 does not work

    Hello

Dell Latitude E6330, BIOS A06 (latest in today ' hui)

    CCTK 2.1.1

MDT 2010.  CCTK running in Windows (Version 7)

The command line "cctk.exe - tpmactivation = activate" does not activate the TPM chip.

Before this command I import a file INI using CCTK to set a bunch of BIOS settings that also includes the command to turn on the TPM.

I erased the parameters of TPM using BIOS.  I have restored the default settings.

    See you soon

    Robert

I think that there is a problem with the latest version of the BIOS on the activation of the TPM secure with CCTK.  I don't know if you can revert to an older BIOS to work around the problem until it is resolved.

  • CCTK clear the TPM

    Current situation / background -.

    I use SCCM 2012 R2 with WinPE 6.39

I created a sequence of tasks that currently allows the TPM chip, appropriates it, puts a password on the BIOS and then begins encryption, deployment of a new machine.

We have places in the world, and I can not disclose the BIOS password for our remote employees of IT - so when the redefinition of a machine, they get errors because the TPM is already active.

I need a task sequence scenario "Refresh" which erases the BIOS password and clears the TPM in the beginning of the deployment sequence in order to avoid having to manually enter the BIOS and clear the TPM.

    Is this possible?

    -Aaron

The current design set out by the TrustedComputingGroup that has the TPM specifications, requires a manual check when clearing the TPM.  This is similar to SecureBoot which cannot be disabled by programming.  We understand the security ramifications which are the engine of this requirement, but are also aware of the practice pain it causes.  We are examining our options on how to maintain the Protocol of security appropriate, while allowing the flexibility requested by customers.

  • BIOS Configuration utility

    Hello
I was wondering if Toshiba laptops have a Bios Configuration utility similar to what HP and Dells have. HP has a utility called 'Biosconfigurationutility.exe' which allows the switches to export the configuration file, maniplulate it and import back into the Bios. Dell has a named CCTK aswell.

The main objective of the present is so that I can import a file of responses in SCCM to set up the laptop to turn on the TPM so that when the generation is here, I can run a windows task to activate Bitlocker with the TPM secure.

    Please help me.

    Thank you

As far as I know laptop Toshiba don t have something like that. Only the tool where you can change some settings in BIOS is Toshiba HWsetup utility you can find in Toshiba Assist optionally optimize.

  • Deploy a Lenovo with SCCM and enable Bitlocker during deployment?

  • How do I * definitely * disable the USB bootable media

Thus, in WinPe and load HAPI.  I put successfully boot options
    CCTK BootOrder - bootlisttype = UEFI - disabledevice = uefi.1, uefi.2 - valsetuppwd =

On the next reboot, my bootable USB media is removed from the list of startup, but only when the usb key is in the port.

If I remove the USB key, reboot and re - insert the USB, it is considered as a new device and it can be used as a boot again media

How to disable permanently of the bootable USB media?

  • Issue of DellSmbios:\Bootsequence

    Hello

is it possible to make device as CDrom, peripheral storage Usb and Diskett idle car and off to the start option via the dell ps provider?

I can change the order, but may not know how to disable the specific boot device.

Thank you very much for all the advice

    T. Kromsa

No, disabling a boot device is not yet implemented in Dell ps provider.

You can check the Dell order. Configure the command cctk bootorder (DCC).

    Example:

    CCTK bootorder - sequence = cdrom, hdd.2, hdd.1 - disabledevice = hdd.2

  • Configure the keyboard backlight Timeout

Hello, I want to configure the keyboard backlight Timeout on Dell Latitude E6440. I use pre-installed Linux OS Ubuntu 12.04.2 Dell.

I found this post http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/enterprise-client/f/4448/p/19415396/19975858.aspx#19975858 of Warren Byle.

He wrote how to change the keyboard backlight with tool CCTK lighting level. I downloaded CCTK for Red Hat Linux and looks like it works fine on Ubuntu too. With that - token orders that I am able to change the level of backlight on the keyboard which is good.

But I still don't know how to change the keyboard backlight Timeout. Backlight is still off after 10 seconds. Is there some special - token for this timeout setting?

According to other messages, looks like configring timeout to 5 minutes could be possible, as there are Windows applications that could do that (for example Dell System Manager Application checkpoint)
