Have you installed Windows 7 device drivers for your make and model. If this is not the case, then go to the support web site factory and download Windows 7 drivers to a folder on your PC and then first install the drivers for the card mother/chipset, followed by USB, SATA, LAN, Audio and all other pilots.

Find the website of your computer manufacturer support.

BIOS updates: you should check to see if there was one, or sometimes several updates BIOS for the motherboard. Read (if provided) which solves the update. Sometimes a newer BIOS update will fix the problem. Read the instructions on how to your BIOS update/flash very carefully and be more you understand the process. There is a risk of a bad flash/update occurs which can make your system unbootable.

  • Blu Ray player can not read the DVD. It can read CDs and Blu Ray discs, but not DVD.

Recently, I lost my hard drive.  Dell sent me a new disk with the drivers that came with the computer.

I just noticed that my Blu Ray player is no longer playing DVDs.  I don't know if the hard drive crash has nothing to do with it, or if it's a coincidence.

Windows says I have the latest driver.

The computer is a Dell XPS 8300.   Is the Blu Ray player: bd - re bh30n hl-dt-st.

The player has not served almost at all.   I read that there are the eyes for the Blu Ray vs DVD, then maybe the DVD part has failed.

I'm always suspect that miss me a piece of software or a changed value.

    Any ideas?

For all of you, the poor souls who shared my problem on the internet, I got beyond that.   Even though all said I had the latest driver, I found someone who said that they had downloaded a newer driver form the LG site and it fixed the problem.   Well, BH30N wasn't a model # on the LG site, but I found here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1703-file_BH30N-A103.zip.html Norton said it was OK, I clicked on the EXE file, he said that he had me upgrade from A101 to A103 and suggested that I reload.   Once I did, my Blu Ray player will read the DVD fine.

  • Satellite L30 VISTA - DVD player does not empty and clean recorded DVD

DVD - RW 4 x discs ignored. When I try to 'burn' of ULead DVD Movie Factory or play a previously "burned" DVD made on my old model Qosmio, the DVD tray opens (with the disk in it) and with the message "Please insert disc". If the tray closes with the same disc always in it, it does exactly the same thing again.

Product Commercilly DVD is most recognized and played. This problem exists since the laptop was purchased. Would appreciate any help.

If this problem existed on the first day, why did you wait so long and not tried to resolve as soon as possible?

I recommend you to install the Nero trial version and check the functionality of engraving. Try please to create CDs or DVDs burning data or maybe some movies on DVD. Test these media. If you report about the same so I can believe that there is a serious problem.

One last thing. Try to start with recovery media. Please let me know if the recovery procedure starts correctly.

  • My DVD player does not work and all the information I can find is "this device does not work correctly.

Hi, I have Windows Vista and I use a computer laptop Dell studio. When I insert a disc into my CD/DVD drive, the drive spins and it looks like it is about to start and makes the same noise start several times and then just stops. My computer does not record that there is a disc there. If I double click on the DVD drive in 'My computer' it ejects my disc and says "insert the disc in drive E".

I went on the 'repair' Microsoft online scanner and it told me that there is a problem, but he can fix it. In Device Manager, under CD/DVD-ROM readers I have Optiarc DVD +-RW AD - 7640S. Under device status - general - properties, it says "this device does not work correctly. He also says that I have the updated driver.

I even uninstalled the driver as a last resort and then restarted my computer. It reinstalled the driver for me, but there was no change. Please help me!

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  • Windows media player cannot read CDs and DVDs

MS supports says my Player DVD is dead and needs a new drive. So, I just install a new ROM DVD and still have the same problem - cannot read CDs and DVDs.

When I play the CD, I always get the error meessage--(lecteur Windows media a rencontré une erreur lors de la lecture de lecteur de CD en mode numérique...). 'Digital' is selected under the tool-> properties-> device.

When I play DVD, it is frozen my laptop or keep spinning and froze the Windows Explorer and the reader.

I was able to read DVDs and CDs once after a few restart. During playback of CD the WMP abruptly stopped with error message and since that time cannot play CD DVD & more.

So far, I did a few fixs that I found online and nothing wroks:

    * No upperfilter or UpperFilter registry

    * Uninstall and let the laptop automatically reinstall the driver

    * Ms. Fix it gives different results every time I run the fix-(1) detects no problem and therefore no patches have been applied (2) the main media in the CD drive is not readable (same CD has played correctly when using external USB DVD rom)

Can someone help and let me know what that could be the problem and how to fix it! Thank you!

  • DVD player will not read burned DVD again.

I have Windows 8.1 and a his Ashley Soundblaster card.

PrPro CC project: imported from motion picture film at home (DVD NTSC), edited, and soundtrack.

    Transcoded with Media Encoder.

Imported as the timeline again: added, any chapter markers the PSD as Menu and related chapters (etc.) then engraved on DVD.

DVD only plays in your computer (Windows and MAC), not in a DVD player.

Because the help files are really not very useful (must be in business somehow with Lynda.com), I looked at various things. I do not know who exactly fixed the problem, but here are some of the things I've done:

    (1) in PrPro CC, chronology selected then file > export > Media. Is nothing new.

    (2) in Media Encoder, in export settings, I selected the tab changed and Audio Dolby Digital PCM. Must be a conflict with export of PrPro CC which had PCM audio.

    (3) in Media Encoder, changed the Source range to the entire sequence. This time, I got three output files (WAV, MPEG and XMP). Before you change the settings, I received only MPEG and XMP.

    (4) in the still, import as > timeline time MPEG and WAV.

    (5) in the still, import as > Menu for my PSD file and implement all actions.

    (6) in still, tab generate, in area Codes > activated Custom, then deselected all except 1 region.

    (7) in, tab generate, in Destination, permit Test before writing. On every other DVD - R failed as "already been written" (or something like that).

    (8) in again, burned ISO then DVD, both for the current project.

    (9) slapped DVD in all my DVD players.  SUCCESS!

So much help does not have that kind of help!

  • Satellite A660 - DVD player does not recognize some DVD

    I have a new Satellite A660-17th with a drive HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GT30N, running under Windows 7 64-bit.

The reader will read most DVDs. Commercial DVD (region 2) are very good. However, there are problems with the DVD recorded with DVD recorders. Recordings of DVD + R using a Philips machine work very well. DVD + R and DVD - R using a Sony HDX 1095 of RDR machine do not work.

I hope that the disc is ok and that this problem can be solved by changing some settings or other?
    Any ideas?

    Hey,.

If commercial DVDs are working properly, it s final related to your own created DVD recorder of DVD.
It s knows not to adjust something on the DVD player without region code

In my opinion, you should test different brands of DVD to check which is compatible with all devices.
My favorite is Verbatim DVD - R TDK also makes good discs

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD &)
Burn DVDs and CDs and read DVDs). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 parts to no function
while others are doing so correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner
    could help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always
    issue.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the outside edge
tolerances of the disks. They may be delivered, but it is usually cheaper to replace
