  If you are using PSK, you're fine as the live keys on the AP. So if you lose the controller, customers will always authenticate. If you use 802. 1 X, it's another story.

  I just upgraded a CAT3560-48TS IOS 12.2 (37) SE1 (ipservicesk9) at 12.2 (46) SE (ipservicesk9). Everything seems fine until I tried logging with my account GANYMEDE: I get an authorization failure. Connect with a local priv15 account works fine. After removing the following statements:

  Here's my setup GANYMEDE + on my cisco 3560 switch and my question is, how can I configure the switch, if I would not type enable after I put the user name and password? with configs below, users will need to type activate whenever they connect to the switch in order to enter the user exec mode.   Seems to me IOS does not work as documentation States during the dot1x authentication management. In my view, that the last IOS 12.2 should not authenticate a client if the MAC address has not changed (with dot1x reauth off of course). However, I've tested this and it seems that the switch always sends EAPOL, even if I use the same PC on the same port. Is this a bug?

  There is nothing that can be done about it. I don't know yet what means 'History of MAC', but if the port goes down, it is still deleted.

  Now, I might have a work around for you here. MAC-Auth-Bypass (MAB). MAB authenticates the machines that cannot speak 1 X be their MAC address. If it fails and you have also the Guest-VLAN on, the port is being Guest-VLAN anyway (to support backward compatibility). From a treatment perspective, MAB is attempted after 1 X, but before the comments - VLAN (who just allow a port blindly).

  I'm looking to deploy an application of MAF to and jDeveloper Windows 7 on an iOS device environment?

  Is it possible or I need an iOS for this machine?

  XCode is only used to compile your MAF application (that you developed in JDeveloper on Mac or Windows) in iOS code.

  Ditto for the Android SDK tools but this compliles he Code Android. But the Android SDK is available for Windows and Mac.

  So if you try to deploy on a device iOS a Windows based PC, it will fail because I can't find XCode.

  So basically, you only need a Mac for XCode (which is the equivalent of Android SDK for iOS) but as the Android SDK is also available on Mac, you can use a Mac to deploy your MAF for Android and iOS application.

  As I borrowed someone's iPad I returned the unit and the device is somewhere else now.

  After deploying to the device, I had made the same request to the iOS Simulator using a different profile of deployment.

  Now, I want to get the. File API to run the application on another iPad, but when I checked the deployment folder in the workspace that I can't see everything. IPA file.

  If I deploy the application on iOS Simulator using the deployment profile configured for the distribution company profile I would be able to run on any other iPad .app file.

  And is it possible to extract the. IPA file from the old iPad? Any other alternative that someone might suggest.

• Cisco IOS autogroups

  I recently added 90 - odd Cisco switches for installation of HQ of our Organization through the HQ command line tools.  Almost half of them, the individual switch ports have been detected and HQ automatically created autogroups for the ports on the switch.  For the rest of the switches, no switch ports have been detected automatically.  As far as I know, there is no significant difference in configuration between switches, but I'm still looking into it.  All switches are configured in central administration under the Cisco IOS platform.
  
  Has anyone experience this problem with switches?  Anyone know how the process of discovery of autogroup works for Cisco IOS/IOS Interface devices?

• ESW-520-24 p not able to connect to a Catalyst 3560 G + compatible with SPA942?

  a customer bought an ESW-520-24 p for use in a VoIP project. Today we had difficulties to connect to a switch of 3650 G of catalyst; We tried to set the port to the trunk, general, customer and access and changed all sorts of settings VLAN on the 3560G switch nothing helps: the switches just interconnection used. While sniffing, we saw that the ARP requests are unresponsive even, if something is at a low level, no doubt with VLAN-ing.

  Someone at - it an idea if these switches must be connected between them and if so, what do I do?

  On the other hand; voice turns on VLANS separated and the customer will use SPA942 phones that have an internal switch that allows a PC to connect. I used this call successfully with the Catalyst Express switches and I didn't have to do anything for VLAN-ing, it worked 'out of the box. Can anyone confirm that these phones work with switches for small businesses as well?

  I quickly set up the simulation.  It took me more time to write this that actually do the work.

  I grabbed my handy Cisco 3560 catalyst switch.  I plugged port FastEthernet 23 plugged into my UC520.  My Uc520 is my voice system and the DHCP server.

  I have the 24 FastEthernet port connected to my Cisco 3560 in my ESW540 - 24 p.  On 3 of my ESW540 switch port - 24 p, I plugged a phone SPA962...

  I guess that my simulation is close enough to your hardware.  The configuration should be the same I guess.

  Here is the configuration of my Cisco 3560 switch;

  Check that the tree covering weight is not blocking the ports of uplink with the command show spanning tree. I ask you to try what I must admit that this uplink to my UC520 was in a BLK State on the VLAN by default.  I HAD TO CORRECT.

  I plugged my phone SPA962 on my ESW switch, it lit.

  VLAN 100 as my voice VLAN, I had to set manually what VLAN the SPA phone will reside in.  Otherwise, it will try to retrieve a default IP VLAN.

  • I have manually by pressing the button (below the button of the envelope) on the phone in the SPA
  • Scroll down and select 'network '.
  • Scroll again option VLAN and select Edit.
  • I changed the setting to select Enable VLAN Yes.
  • Click the OK button.
  • I then scroll down to the option VLAN ID.
  • Choose the edit button to change the VLAN ID information
  • I register 100 to and selected OK.

  My phone has received an IP address from my 100 VLAN address 10.1.1.X.

  Fortunately, the ESW520 has a pretty good GUI, in which case you can add a new vlan and the trunk at all ports.

  Here's an example of how I added the vlan 200 to the ESW switch and started adding the Tagged ports switch ports.  I have to do all the ports where you need a VLAN.

  

  I then as seen below my new adds VLAN as a port Tagged to all ports of the switch.

  You can see from my screenshot below I was adding VLAN 200 to interface G2 as labeled interface.

  

  Don't forget NOT to SAVE YOUR CONFIGURATIONS ON BOTH THE 3560 and the ESW520
