Cert NPP errors

Screen shot 2011-11-03 at 10.34.38.png

I had a repeat of this error a few days ago. Does anyone know the correct way to name the push notification certs?

I accepted them the other day, but I had to recreate them, then when I appointed them same as before... error again

I named production: Production_push_notification.p12 this has been accepted before, now, it is rejected.   Oh the joys! I don't know it's me than ever!

I solved the problem, there seems to be a different way that the DPS accepts certificates,

Certs that I used were created a year ago and so far, when in Keychain Access, I need to click on the cert to get the drop down.

I then click on the drop-cert and this one as a .p12 - what has worked for me the last 12 months of export.

Now that I have renewed the certificates, this process did not work, and I was getting the error message shown in the attachment.

For some reason any, I decided to export the cert p12 of just clicking on the main cert in the keychain, IE not to click on the drop-down version.

This works!

Don't know if DPS has changed, or key ring, or what. It would be interesting to hear anyones thoughts.

Hope that all makes sense :-)

    Concerning

    MAhesh

    You can remove and reinstall the certificate authority. It will require that first delete you the configured services dependent thereon, binding to the interface etc..

    I am not convinced that would fix what you see, and it would not be my first choice.

    First, I would check things like why don't not the client approves the certificate (audit for example simply by accessing the interface of the ASA and see what your browser indicates that the question (both Firefox and Chrome are very useful in telling you of any problem with the certificate if you expand the details), what is the content of the profile and changes) the etc.

  • View, Split DNS and SSL Certs HELP

    We have:

    1. Internal security server - not on the domain, IP address of the 10.121.125.110 and the external address of 209.68.96.26
      1. Installed SSL certificate for view.victorschools.org
      2. View.victorschools.org DNS entry to 209.68.96.26
    2. Broker server - the field, has internal IP address of the 10.121.127.107
      1. Installed SSL certificate for broker.vcs.local
      2. Broker.vcs.local DNS entry to 10.121.125.107
      3. View.victorschools.org DNS entry to 10.121.125.107

    The problem arises on two fronts:

    1. Portable professor who has installed the view client pointing at view.victorschools.org. Internally, that the DNS entry pointing to the broker server that has the broker.vcs.local cert. Unless the client is configured to check no certs, the connection will not work. When we try us immediately returns with a cert mismatch error.
    2. Personal devices - student charge the Customer View on a laptop or iPad and it points to view.victorschools.org. It works fine at home, but even once will not work on campus because there is an incompatibility of cert

    Can I solve this problem by changing a DNS entry and have view.victorschools.org point to 10.121.125.110 which is the internal IP address of the Security Server? Of course, this will make any student with a personal device point to our security at home or school server. I know we want internal devices to point to the broker and external clients to point to the Security server. Here is a discussion of the same thing, I feel less the number of SSL certificate.

    http://communities.VMware.com/thread/431399

    I know that a windows CA to generate certificates with Subject Alternative names (SAN). Can we generate a cert from our CA window for broker.vcs.local and view.victorschools.org and install it on the server broker to solve this problem?

    Replace the SSL on broker a SAN certificate.

    If you route everything through the Security Server, you create a single point of failure, not to mention a bottleneck in the network.

  • Can I use/re-use certs APNS?

    Hello

    Ive went through the step by step guide and it doesn't address if you can reuse the NPP certs for multiple applications. On page 15, he says "You can use the same certificate p12 for multiple applications." But I think that his reference to the main .p12s

    Thanks for any help.

    DW

    Certs APNS are specific to an application. You create certificates push separate p12 for additional applications. (Are you referring to the only edition guide step by step or the Pro/Enterprise version? You don't need certs NPP for applications simple editing.)

  • No secure connection https

    Hello

    Since this morning, when clicking on a link of wire, I get a message from the browser (IE 8) on a non secure connection https (which can compromise the security of the page...). I am asked if I want to go or not. Rather boring.
    However, change anything on my side. Any thoughts?

    Nicolas.

    You must import the certificate on IE. Our SSL is hosted on akamai and signed by a third party. FF/chrome/safari understands this, but is too stubborn IE. Once you import the cert, that error should not come again

    IE 8/9

    (1) when you get the error, click on continue, next to the address bar, it will show "certificate error".
    2) click on the error, click View certificates and click Install certificate.

    For IE 7

    (1) click on no when you are prompted to view the non-secure content
    2) click on the lock icon in the bar of addresses, and click View Certificate
    (3) install the certificate

    You may also need to change your security settings to allow mixed content.

    The Guide of EI

    In order to allow mixed content

    In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.
    Click the Security tab and then click on the custom level button.
    In the security settings dialog box, highlight the display mixed content in the section setting various, and then click Activate.
    Click OK in the security settings dialog box, and then click OK to exit Internet Options.
    Note

    After allowing mixed content, you will see webpages with both HTTPS content and not HTTPS, but Internet Explorer will not display the lock icon

    in case you're an avast user, please try to disable https scanning in avast:

    1. Open the Avast dashboard on an affected system.
    2. Select settings in the left side menu.
    3. Adopt a Protection Active.
    4. Click on customize next to the Web Shield.
    5. Uncheck the option "Enable HTTPS analysis", and then click ok.

  • ASA5505 inscription on SSL cert error when applied to the interface?

    Created a CSR, gets the certificate files, the downloaded ASA505.   Three certificates in the CA certificates; the one in the certificate of identification.  Everything seems all just wonderful.  "Now use the SSL certs: in trying to associate the certificate with the Interface in the SSL settings section, we get an error"

    [OK] ssl encryption rc4-aes128-sha1 aes256-3des-sha1 sha1 sha1
    [ERROR] ssl trust-point ASDM_TrustPoint5 outside
    Trustpoint are not registered.  If please register trustpoint and try again.

    The cert will appear in the drop-down selection, why the error?  How do I delete it?

    Hi Stewart Buswell,

    I have seen this problem when starting the CSR request through the CLI by using the configuration of the terminal of registration and then going to the ASDM and adding the identity certificate without using the command crypto ca enroll through the CLI.

    In this case, if you use the CLI/ASDM you can follow this guide:

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/ASA-5500-x-series-NEX...

    And the way to solve this problem will be generation a new CSR on the ASDM using the same key pair and install the certificate on this trustpoint. After you apply the cert to the ssl, you can remove the old one which was not.

    Hope this info helps!

    Note If you help!

  • vROps SSL Cert errors

    I think have noticed that creating a signed cert w / a C - name as common name rather than the recording of the master node causes me to get cert errors even if the certificate is valid.  Doing the rear ends up with the same result.

    The only time that the cert shows as 'valid' is when I connect to the master node via his IP or a folder where displayed @ the console login screen.  Is this a normal behavior?  I think it may be a bug that I saw these issues w / 5.8.

    For example:

    The master node IP: 192.168.1.50

    Master Node A Record: vropsmaster - node.localdom.com

    Master Node C Name: vrops.localdom.com

    Certificate information:

    Common name: vrops.localdom.com

    Another name of the topic:

    DNS: vropsmaster - node.localdom.com

    IP: 192.168.1.50

    In this case, vropsmaster - node.localdom.com and 192.168.1.50 return as having valid certificates.  Try to connect to vrops.localdom.com a Chrome, IE and Safari return with errors of inconsistency of host for the cert name.  Screenshot of the Safari attached.

    OK, I thought about it.

    Change common to that of the vropsmaster node name and the C - name 'alias' as a SAN entry.  That solved the problem.

    So, as above:

    subjectAltName = DNS:vrops, IP:192.168.1.50, DNS:vrops.localdom.com

    [req_distinguished_name]

    countryName = US

    # Update w / your location information

    stateOrProvinceName = Georgia

    localityName = Atlanta

    0 organizationName = TakeAGuess

    organizationalUnitName = MyGroup

    # Change below

    commonName = vropsmaster.localdom.com

    emailAddress = [email protected]

  • Push the cert with creation of App error

    The push cert expires on June 23, 2014

    But give App Builder be this error, do - does anyone know what is happening?

    Screen Shot 2013-06-24 at 3.50.15 PM.png

    I tried to remove the cert in the keychain and download them to Apple once again. But I got the same error message (time has not changed).

    It is a known issue with App Builder Version 26 where the newly created certificates are not considered valid until several hours after the actual creation time. If you wait until the time listed in the dialog box, they will work. Some customers have had success setting their clock system forward to later, and then construction.

    We have a fix for this version 27, due mid-July.

  • DPS App Builder ERROR with CERT.

    Anyone know what means this error and how to fix it? Thank you.

    Error.png

    If I had this error, I exit InDesign and DPS App Builder, open the Local Store folder displayed in the path and delete all subfolders in the Local storage folder. Doing this will eliminate all your local folios, but you can listen to extracts or rebuild the folio you want to publish. Then try to publish again.

  • All https: Web sites know the untrusted certificate errors and appears as the provider cert Digitalmarketresearchapps Pty Ltd. No virus found on my system.

    I started all of a sudden the problem "untrusted connection" on earlier work https: Web sites with the "not provided any transmitter channel" as a reason. I tried all the proposed solutions and nothing works. I ran several programs antivirus and no viruses or malware detected. I don't have any such installed ESET suggested in the previous solutions. Display of certificates for the default sites shows that the provider in all cases is 'Digitalmarketresearchapps Pty Ltd'. Certificates are always a start date and an expiration of 2039. I think I picked up something that causes the problem, but as I said, none of my antivirus/malware programs are detecting anything.

    I had this problem as well, and he ended up caused by the installation of the E-Rewards application notify. I had to uninstall and then restore my computer to an earlier time to fix the signer of the certificate again to "Thawte Consulting (Pty) Ltd". I contacted E-Rewards to let them know and ask why this is happening.
