• Is there an easy way to add text to a chain control / indicator and keep the colors

  Hello

  Bassically I want to add text to a chain control / indicator without losing the formatting of the previous text.

  For a part of a program that I create, data will be transmitted to and from a serial device. I want to display this data in a chain control / indicator and change the color of the text of certain strings depending on data type (sent, received). Basically as a nice log window.

  

  At the moment, I update the chain control / indicator by reading the text and concatenated with the new string. However, this method removes the colors of previous text :-(

  Is it possible to add data to the control of the chain / indicator without losing the text previous formatting?

  I started to create a sub vi who reads a text both character and adds a new element in an array (offset color and text), if the color is distinguished by the previous character. Only problem is it seems to be quite time CPU.

  Actually, no. This means that you will have to use workarounds. Your workaround solution seems a bit involved. Basically, all you need to do is just to keep track of the pairs of end start/selection selection that must be colored in a table. Then just you loop in this table to color the text marked by the power positions.

  An alternative is to use a different indicator. Rather than an indicator of the string, you can use a table with a column. You can then set the foreground color on a cell by cell basis, and add a new line (row) will not affect the coloration of the previous lines.

  Can I split my files pictures to several external hard drives.  My iMac is completed and I am on a budget.  I found a good deal on 500 GB FireWire external drives.  My library approaching the 500 GB and if I put it on an external drive and Garland a 2nd drive Apple Photos bed together?  I want to open the Photos app and see all my photos. And if he will only read 1 player both what it will look like?  How can I find a photo quickly if it is not on the current drive that I consult?  I was wondering if someone another daisy chained photo readers and what it will look like?

  You use IPHOTOS or PHOTOS and what version of the operating system.

  You can have several libraries in IPHOTOS and PICTURES (in the pictures that only your library designated system is synchronized with other devices via ICLOUD).     You can split the libraries of useful information - like a vacation, family events, pictures of your pets.

  What version of LabVIEW are you using? I noticed that NEITHER-SYNC 3.3.5 is supported for versions of LabVIEW 2009 and above.

  Try to navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\RT Images\NI-DAQmx, open the file nimigString.cdf with a text editor. If the version is 2.2.1, then change it to 2.3.0.

  If you are not able to find the previous file, try to install DAQmx first.

• Questions about serial port read and write at the same time

  Hi I create a user interface for the communication serial port, where there are essentially 2 front panels, where the user enters commands one and the other where the prints of UART is delivered. I thought initially using a state machine but the reading and writing may be independent sometimes and so I can't rely on States. I searched a bit on the forum and he left me even more confused.   (1) you can have only one session to a port. Several UART can handle full duplex so performance is not affected.  At flow rates of high data and large amounts of data, buffering and latencies of BONE can become a problem.

  (2) who told you that shift registers using too much memory? Shift registers are usually the best way to transfer data from one iteration to another. String concatenation inside a loop (registry to offset or not) causes the chain to develop and may require re-allocation of memory.  Your VI never clears the string so its cold length become very large.

  Generally, you do not have an active cursor on an indicator.  If you want to always display the most recently received characters and turn on the vertical scroll bar use a property node to keep scrolls to the bottom.  This can be annoying for users if they attempt to manually move the scroll bar and find that the program continues to move it back automatically.

  (3) if the user has changed the value in the chain of command, when he hits enter the modified value event fires.  Simply strike brace does not change the value and does not trigger the event.  Not control need to be erased, but the value that he has to change.  If you want to send the same command again, have a button send a command may be a better choice.

  (4) write is a case of the event.  It is not in parallel with anything.  The structure of the event do not monopolize resources.  The other loop will run while it waits.

  The event loop will not stop when you press the STOP button. Probably it wll take two command: change events of value after JUDGMENT before any loop stops.  Replace the Timeout event (which never expires) with a STOP: value change event and a real wire of this judgment to the Terminal endpoint.  Remove the local variable.  Make mechanical locking when released.

  We can't really say what looks like your text file. What are delimiters? (tabs? space?).

  Here's what I'd do (if the file is clean (a single column separator, etc)):

  • Read the file using spreadsheet file playback using the polymorphic string instance. This gives you a 2D channels table.
  • Remove the first column and make it a table 1 d of channels.
  • Go to digital 2D table remaining channels and to convert an array of DBL.
  • Wire now two tables for a while in a loop so that the user can interact (use a small wait or structure of the event).
  • For scenario A, use the table of indexes on the digital Board to display the appropriate line.
  • For scénarion B, table search for use on the string, the index table and proceed as above to obtain the line.

  I saw the example of the parameterized insert, but it did not help to use parameterized select query, as well as to display data of parameterized select query.

  I looked for example on parameterized select query, but I don't have any.
  So pls guide me how to do this. I would like to know the other method (if any) that the use of parameter query to perform the same thing.

  No, I'm pretty sure that it is not possible. A transition in WMP 11 is available only for MP3 and WMA, and I don't know any plug-ins that allow a transition to other formats.

  For WMP 12 on Windows 7, the situation seems to be a little different. WMP 12 is actually melted chained WAV files, and I believe he can crossfade FLAC too, but only if you have a filter to transform Media Foundation for FLAC installed files.   Maybe I'm mistaken, please correct me if this is the case.

  Assuming you are using oracle customer why not just use the construction in the mechanism for this purpose? DNS has nothing to do with it, but I see people using it yet for this - it is not only suitable for failovers, I do not have my TTL of 60 seconds or less to my recordings of A.

  I had a project for banking HA where after permutation is launched the application (Tomcat) could in a minute to connect automatically to the database of watch on the Internet. First, you must use the database instead of SID service, so you can have the same service on the previous day. What more have a service, you can be sure that it will run the day before until it becomes primary, otherwise you can find yourself in a funny situation. Secondly, why not using built in failover of the connection string parameter, this way you can queue db (s) and in the case where your primary does not that the oracle client will simply try to connect to the waiting (to search for the same service). To ensure that the standby database does not have the service at any time, you can deploy trigger (AFTER startup) to check the role of database, if it is 'primary' it starts just the database service.

  Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.
  Always say what version of Oracle you are using (for example, 11.2.0.2.0).

  It seems that some users have the certificate root in their 'approved identities' and others not. You have not specified which version of Acrobat you use but in Acrobat XI right - click signature, select "Show Signature Properties" and click on "Of the see the signatory certificate" button (in versions prior to Acrobat, it's the same thing, just the button is called a bit different, but with the same meaning). Next to view dialog box of the certificate on the left pane which shows the certification path. Select the top certificate of the page, then click on 'Confidence' tab on the right side. That do both in the facilities where you get the status valid and not. I bet where you get valid status the advanced certificate in the chain is approved and where he is unknown, it is not approved. You can directly add the confidence of this dialog box by clicking on the button "Add to approved identities".

  I have created a process in the workbench that will lead a logged in user id, call a web service to obtain the account information and then pre-filling and make a form based on the resulting data. The webservice is an external SOAP webservice, and I'm not sure how to specify a variable as an entry in the SOAP request in process design or how to map data returned in the message in an XML document to use soap for filers of form.

  I created an example that calls a public Web Service, maps the SOAP response to a variable of type 'xml' data and makes a PDF file by using xml.

  I found public Web Services to http://wiki.cdyne.com/wiki/index.php?title=CDYNE_Weather , which exposes the WSDL to the http://ws.cdyne.com/WeatherWS/Weather.asmx?wsdl and choose the GetCityWeatherByZIP operation. The operation takes an input string of POSTAL code and produced the SOAP response, below.

  The XML document that I'm after is the encapsulated in the GetCityWeatherByZIPResult child so I built a schema to express the document.

  I created a variable of type entry process 'chain', called zip and added the reference in the Web Service by using XPath query.

  

  SetValue service retrieves a process variable from type 'xml' called cityWeatherByZIP which I loaded with the GetCityWeatherByZIP.xsd schema. The renderPDFForm FormService then uses the XML cityWeatherByZip to link to the form. I just called the Workbench process which creates a variable of type 'document' output process, described below.

  You can change your iBots so that only the last email, which is easy to do. However each iBot can send the content itself. It should consolidate all the 3 iBots queries in a simple dashboard. You can then create a unique iBot for this dashboard.

  It works really well for just a file on the app and do run.  But now I want to create ISO from DVD images that I created in the past.  The above script searches the path of entry and in the output path of the new file with the same name.  I want to do a couple different things.

  First of all, I cannot of course back the new file on the DVD but I don't know how to change the script correctly, but I've highlighted where I think we should probably change. In addition, I want a prompt the user to choose a destination.  I was really close with:

  It would be nice to both the value of the path and the name of the file at that time.

  I also like that I can see the status of the creation of the ISO in the Terminal.

  I have a few comments...

  There is nothing inherently wrong with your script - it is essentially collecting all the data, and then firing a shell single command to do the job. The problem is that to extend the functionality to create a .iso, you must do this within the shell command.

  An alternative (more easy - at least for an experienced AppleScripter) way would be to reduce to a minimum the shell command to the bare (i.e. treat as an individual file) and use AppleScript to manage the closure and variable. For example, rather than build a chain of files and passing to a shell command that iterates over it, I'd do something more like:

  You have now each specific file in an AppleScript variable (file_), which is passed to a shell command that executes your order. Several input files only invoke the command shell several times. This makes it much easier to add treatment by folder

  Regarding the other issue - selecting the location/name of output file, simply replace your folder "Choose" with "Choose file name." This will allow the user to specify a file name and a directory using the standard user interface, from which you can extract the data you want:

  Also note that I've separated the code in more sense (to me, at least) pieces... I have separate application logic regarding input and output files and target just Terminal.app with the specific commands that relate to it.
