  I recently had my HP Pavilion DV7 laptop screen replaced after getting a crack in it. He was sent to HP for repair and she came back yesterday with a new brand, screen exactly like my old. While the screen looks the same as the old, when I started, it is a completely different resolution. On the old screen that broke the (maximum) native resolution was 1600 x 900. However, on the new, the (maximum) native resolution is 1920 x 1080. I'm still able to go back to 1600 x 900, but when I do the text becomes blurry. I suppose I could use the 1920 x 1080, but it would take a lot of time to get used to it, especially since I am using 1600 x 900 for two years. So my question is, why is there another native resolution and is it possible to fix the blur with 1600 x 900? I don't understand why all this is happening, because the screen looks exactly like my old, same size and all. I don't know of changes to software that took place or the other, all what has been messed with to my knowledge was the physical display.

  From the sound of it, HP has replaced your original screen with better resolution by mistake.

  There is nothing you can do except to report it to the support of HP and ask to the screen to be replaced by one of the same characteristics as yours, or you will have to get used to the larger screen real estate and more small text and objects, or use a different resolution which may be more attractive to you.

  Where you put the pagefile just does that much of difference, when you have 16 GB (as you do) and 24 GB still less so (as the user in the other thread).

  If I had your material, I put on E: and make static at 16 GB min and max 16GB (bad suggests same size).

  I don't spend more time reading or to dwell on "static pagefile" However unless you want to purely for fun.

  When you have enough RAM that your applications require no more you have, Windows must either ask for a large part of this file. Ten years when the RAM chips were much smaller and the cost per GB was more expensive that now, details of page file were indeed more important than they are today.

  I would like to help with how to test my web pages to see what he might look like with smaller screens.

  Whenever I use my laptop I need to adjust the size of the screen several times because it increases (or decreases) the size of the page.  I understand that this has to do with the heels of my hand touch the touchpad mouse but it is how I type.  I use an external mouse and don't intentionally use the touchpad integrated at all.  Can I activate it offshore or at least reduce its sensitivity? I never had this problem with my old Toshiba laptop.

  I had a problem before in 2009 that says my computer has an unscheduled stop called 'blue screen '. It happened when I had the lid closed and when I close it, the computer can host until the cover is in place, and that's when the error occurred.
