Change a character in a font of a glyph in another? Possible?

Our client provides often Word documents with between brackets, which represents a check box, example: (). From there, we need create a form with a checkbox (a glyph in Universal News Comm). In QuarkXpress, you can search for it in the font and replace another character or glyph in one font. I tried all the possible permutations in the find/replace menu to accomplish this and have so far come to nothing. Worse still, looking for one (s) with two spaces between concludes only two spaces! It's very frustrating, and it's tedious to change dozens of these one at a time, cut and paste. So, am I missing something in the search/replace that will accomplish this?

If you use GREP, you need to "escape" the brackets by adding a backslash like this: \ (or \)--ou you can choose among the @menu. You can set the formatting to find and change in the fields in the dialog box (click on the magnifying glass next to find or change the format format).

  • Change the thickness of a font.

    Hello good evening.

    I have a challenge to change the thickness of a font, I use Illustrator to create the Visual identity or the famous logo.

    The principle is to be one of the easiest, but it became a book challenge. A friend has the identity of his company in the PS, but low resolution, such as an exchange of services, I offered to vectorize on illustrator, got the logo and the police f
    ound a 90% similar, but much thicker thick, it has the original file, to do this in PS this would be a matter of selection > modify > contract and loan , but the problem when I go back to the source for the Illustrator uses the image and the trace of the police is slight distortion.

    Let the challenge, necessary to reduce the weight of the font in Illustrator without losing the features.
    I know only two options.
    1 because it uses a graphite color background and put in the same color and sussa to use the web with applied the same background color is perfect. But if you change the background you need to keep changing the race and soon png or thinking. (This was the solution I found initially)
    2nd trace source in the tool pen and will merge together to form the letters of the name. It will take some work but I'll be able to deliver the logo without restriction and dependence to change this and that.

    I wonder what other options I have to reduce the thickness of this source in the illustration, if you use the PS without problem, but when you open the precise IT sure features to vectorize know only the image option it draw.

    1. Set the "frame of character', 'None '.
    2. ' Use 'Lag' effect on an attribute of ""fill object "in the appearance Panel.

    Edit:

    In fact, you can assign only the "offset" to the object Type. The character frame is affected.

  • How can I change the color of the fonts displayed on Firefox itself?

    Not Web sites; I know how to change the font style and color used on Web sites. What I was asking is how to change the color of the font of the text displayed on the interface of Firefox itself. Specifically, I want to change the font of the text '100% ' at the top of the Zoom option, since I have no idea when or how it changed (could be me; I do remember never do, however); I have attached a screenshot for better reference.

    I was wondering, but did not before, if it remains green if you move to another bar. In other words, is there something special about this area of bar bar/menu top of the title page which affects the color of the font.

  • Does not change the size of the font on my request

    Hi guys,.

    I'm asking and I realized that if you change the size of the font of the letters of the device, the application is messy and seems very bad

    How can I solve this problem?

    Kind regards.

    Suggestion of BBSJdev is very good for the people of Visual acuity but if you want that,

    You can use the following code to it:

    textStyle.fontSize: FontSize.PointValue
    textStyle.fontSizeValue: 8 //Give value according to your requirement.
    textStyle.fontWeight: FontWeight.W500 //Give weight also what you want.

  • Change the size of the font of labels

    Hello

    I'm changing the color of the font and the font size when running my ColorLabelField of land stretching from LabelField.

    Here is a code:

    SerializableAttribute public class ColorLabelField extends LabelField

    {

    private int _newcolor = Color.BLACK;

    _font private policies = Font.getDefault ();

    public ColorLabelField (label As String)

    {

    Super (label);

    }

    protected void paint (Graphics graphics)

    {

    graphics.setColor (this._newcolor);

    graphics.setFont (_font);

    Super.Paint (Graphics);

    }

    public void setColor (int newcolor)

    {

    This ._newcolor = newcolor; Graphics g is UiApplication.getUiApplication () .getActiveScreen () .getGraphics ();.

    This.Paint (g);

    }

    public void setFont (font newFont)

    {

    This ._font = newFont;

    Graphics g is UiApplication.getUiApplication () .getActiveScreen () .getGraphics ();. This.Paint (g);

    }

    }

    Now I am trying following code:

    Police fontFamily = font_date [0] .getFont (FontFamily.SCALABLE_FONT, 8);

    ColorLabelField label = new ColorLabelField ("SYS");

    ColorLabelField label.setColor (Color.ORANGE);

    ColorLabelField label.setFont (do);

    I was able to change the color of the font, but I wasn't able to change the font size. When I tried the method of setApplicationFont of FontManager, I was able to change the font, but it sets the font for all labels. I was unable to control the size of individual policy.

    Thank you best regards &.

    I suggest that you call super.setFont () in your replacement of setFont().  If you change the font size, calls updateLayout(). Please remove all your game with getGraphics and object direct calls - you pass the object Graphics hurt in this way.

    Graphics.setFont () does not help you before super.paint () - it affects calls subsequent drawText(), but I suspect that LabelField first calls Graphics.setFont (this.getFont ())...

    In fact, you can completely remove _font and all references to it.  Then you can drop your setFont () graphics.setFont () of your override and override object, leaving only setColor().

  • Way to change all instances of a font color?

    Hello. I'm working on an 850-page manual. I provided a PDF by the customer, and is now in color. Text section headers and the figure labels are color as well. Problem is, they are printing the book in black and white. The client wants to change the headers of text and figure black if possible.

    I know how to change the individual instances of text and change the color by using the properties, but given the large amount of text that should be changed in this way (several hundred pages) the cost of doing so would not be worth to the customer.

    Is there a way to change the color of the text in each instance of a given both font? Or a PDF Editor which can do?

    I have Acrobat 9 Pro and an iMac of Yosemite 2009 running.

    I should note that Aadeshs76610910 scored his own as useful response, even if it did not address the questions that I had. He was not, in fact, a useful answer.

    The correct answer to this question is: there is no way to change all instances of a font color in Acrobat now.

    Murray,

    Your suggestion has revealed a bit of information for me.  The CSS button is just below the HTML button.  You can click on one or the other.  I deduce that it gives you the choice to change the properties CSS or HTML.  I know a couple of rudimentary HTML controls.  Perhaps with a bit of research, I can go to the code and change the color of the desired part of the text using HTML code.  There may be some downside to this.  But if it works with and for "BOLD", it should work for the order of the appropriate color.

  • Changing the character set in the database 11G

    Running Windows 2008 Server 64-bit and Oracle 11 g (V 11.2.0.1.0). I would like to change my default character set when installing from 11 G to CS AL32UTF8.

    I read the utility Guide and Guide Support for globalization (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28298/ch11charsetmig.htm#g1011430), but none of these documents shows how you can effectively change everything / the character set of the migration. I would do this using the export and import utilities since this seems to be the most popular recommendation. But I'm really not sure of the procedure to follow to change the CS. For example, should I first export and then import then run the CSCHANGE script that is described in the globalization support Guide?

    I would be grateful any guidance on how to actually change the character set to AL32UTF8 and all documentation that explains not only the concepts, but the STEPS of HOW this can be done. Thank you, J
