Change icon to dBm - output wireless

Hello

Does anyone know how to change the icon wireless in the menu bar to display the numbers of dBm - instead. I know that you can use the 'option' key and then click on the wireless icon, but I want to display the output of dBm - place of the wireless icon.

I saw on a macbook in the past, but never had the opportunity to ask the person how they did it.

This had to be a part 3 solution. iStat Menus maybe. Or MenuMeters.

  • Key change for an existing XP wireless network

I am running Windows XP.  I needed to change the key for my wireless network.  He's changed on my router and my iPad & Windows 7 laptop computer can connect to it.  I can not find the screen on my XP machine, which allows me to change the key.  Can someone tell me where to find it?

What version of XP, including service pack (if of course, start > run > winver > OK)?

    • Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
    • Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter and select Properties.
    • Click the "Wireless Networks" tab
    • You should look at this screen:   http://tinyurl.com/8lmz4
    • If you are not looking to the display shown in the screenshot or the box at the top to "Use Windows to configure my wireless network" is unchecked, STOP: you use a 3 rd-party utility to configure your wireless adapter and you need to figure out how to use that yourself or at least identification.
    • Assuming you use Windows to configure your wireless network card, find the SSID of your router (network name) in the list of preferred networks and 'delete '.
    • OK your way out.
    • Go to view available wireless networks, find yours, click connection and enter the new password when you are prompted.

Alternatively, instead of removing your network in the list of preferred networks, you can click 'Properties' and then change the key in the tab "Association."  I suggest that you remove the network and let Windows find just in case something other that the key has been changed (for example, the type of encryption or algorithm).

    Hi Satya,

If you use a major version 4.0.x of SQL Developer, the menu bar to try window > Windows reset to factory settings.  If this does not work, or otherwise, is not available in your version installed, you may need to nuke the user settings directory.

    Hope this helps,

  • How to change icons in my favorites toolbar?

I'm migrating from IE to Firefox. So far, I really like the overall look of the interface, and I like the ability to create to look and work the way I want it.

I was hoping I could customize my favorites by creating my own icons files I have in Internet Explorer. For example, in IE I can do a right-click on the bookmark in Favorites toolbar, select properties from the context menu, then click the button change icon, and I can choose any file icon I created. The chart appears in the bookmark. I love it! Can I do this in Firefox?

    Thank you for any information,

Firefox does not have this feature by default, you can add this functionality with this add-on.

    Hello @minion22,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I read your post about the problem of the Bluetooth and wanted to help you!

Bluetooth is a wireless connection to other Bluetooth devices, with its own communication protocol.  It is not a TCP/IP device, so TCP/IP parameters, such as the DNS addresses are without significance for her.  However, you can consult the following resources and let me know if the information was useful in the overall goal you're trying to accomplish:

    Hello

I like the 3D icons and bright and I'm working on for the past 6 years.

To Yosemite, I used Candybar (part of it), of LiteIcon and change permissions on 'Get information' in the order superior use my icons favorite.

This last step is the most important, but now, with EL Capitan Osx 10.11 system doesn't let me change these permissions because, even as an administrator, it is forbidden.

I am very angry and I think that this situation is a violation of freedom of expression.

Apple support could not help me.

FWIW, you can turn off System Protection (SIP) integrity that should allow you to change icons. It is not something I would recommend but if you care more icons of security that belongs to you. It is pretty easy to know how to do.

  • tray icon task for LAN wireless on x61s

I accidentally deleted the "how many bars?" in my taskbar indicator wireless (XP and the laptop has ~ 2 years). I can't find out how to restore it. "What really hurts me is that a lot of names of what should be the usual icons (you know, Windows messenger, Symantec AV, Thinkpad access connections) are very well in the ' properties > customize > three choices: hide when inactive, always on or always hide" routine, but several have the names wrong. For example, the small bars wireless icon (green when the excellent connection) I want to restore is called "Adobe PDF". This is not true. How can I fix my task status bar icons?

    Thank you

    Open dial-up connections
    Select the Setup Menu
    Select global settings
    Select the Notification tab
Check 'display the state icon in the taskbar Wireless '.
Select OK and close the dial-up connections

If it is already checked, uncheck it, select OK then check it and then select OK

  • Change icon - initial folder browse changed

Recently a strange thing: when I browse to change icon, instead of start Sys32, he started in the folder that I recently watched an icon. However, little of what erks me is that long ago I asked whether her search for a start icon folder could be changed and the response I got was not.

So - I would to bypass. I have a lot of trouble to create a dll from all the icons that I like to use and put it in sys32, naming it with a tilde and it would be at least so first upward when travel it took me to sys32 in list view. Good worked as a next best option for years.

Now, not only that begins in the folder of the last icon browsed, but if I want to change that happen to already have an icon by default from Windows in the sys folder, when I browse, there completely ignore alpha and doesn't remember my sort order settings, it's one thing to multiplayer to find my special dll. You want details, sort by alpha, so my tilde comes first etc.

When you're looking for answers, I found two separate sets of people: those who thought either was immutable by default for Windows - IE: it automatically starts to Sys32 always always has, or will always be the icon start finally used. So somehow these people had one or the other and not appear to change, assuming that was the only way it worked.

Anyone know what is happening? Obviously, it is not an immutable default.

There must be a Manager in the reg control this behavior to go, but I'm not. Help on this appreciated.

    TIA.

  • How do I change the batteries in the wireless mouse

I can't find Vault battery to change the batteries in the wireless mouse, please show me where.

    Hi mydavid0615,

Without knowing the manufacturer, the brand and model of the mouse, it is difficult to say.  They are all different.

But that being said, I've seen most have a button or a push bottom bar who, when you move it going to go get the cover of the box that contains the batteries (I found is normally on the top at the back of the mouse, but you can not and should not attempt to open until you release as indicated).

If this does not help, then please provide us with the information above on the mouse and we will try to help you the information on its website.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot change the password for my wireless connection

The wireless router has changed the key and I need to change the key/password on my windows computer 7, but it is not letting me.

Usually on other computers, you can right-click the connection wireless from the taskbar and it will give you options of 'Connect' and 'Properties' (and you can change it in the properties).  But on this computer, there is no 'Properties' option, simply connect.  How can I get the Properties tab?

You use a third-party wireless instead of Windows Manager? If to check with the manufacturers support site or your user manual for assistance to change the properties of the wireless network.

You could also, last spring, just remove the existing profile and then re-create it with the new encryption key.
