Change of operating system (HELP)

Hello

I bought a Satellite L10. There was an official Windows Xp Home edition on the laptop. I tried to change to Windows XP Professional, which I bought before. How can I change it officially?

I formatted my hard drive and load Windows XP Professional... It causes no problem...? Is this break in my warranty?

Ozkan of Istanbul / Turkey

Hi Ahmet,

You should have no problem with your warranty just because you have installed another operating system. Your warranty covers the physical device (and the media) not the operating system.

Good luck with you new L10 :>)

    Hello

Of course, you can change the operating system and install another I wonder what OS you prefer?  :|

I think that you can not install the new OS because the HARD drive is not visible. Am I wrong?
Fact is that the G20 series supports RAID functionality. You must install the RAID driver before you continue the OS installation procedure

The RAID driver can be downloaded from the European pilot of Toshiba page and should be included in the operating system using an external USB FDD drive.

  • PSE improve and change the operating system from Windows to Mac

    Hi all

In 2005 I bought initially PSE 3 and PSP 3 for Windows.

In 2009, I upgraded to Version 8 for Windows PSE

Now, I've changed the operating system for MAC and upgraded to PSE & PSP 14.

When you go to the store, I can select and upgrade package - but only for Windows (I guess because of my previous purchases for Windows).

How can I change for MAC now?

Anyone any idea or had the same challenge?

Thank you very much in advance for any advice or insight.

as long as you have your serial numbers and installation cs6 files, you should be ok.

  • Change of operating system on Satellite C855-1TC

I have a Toshiba Satellite C855 1TC and want to remove Windows 8.1 and replace it with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Does anyone have advice on this change in operating system?... .namely drivers availability etc.

    Hello

I visited the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/dow...ivers_bios.jsp and I can confirm that your model of laptop (PSCBWE) is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so here, you can find all the necessary drivers and tools and utilities.

Before you begin to install Win7 create recovery (DVD or USB) media and backup recovery image. One day, if you want to have the factory settings once again you can use for installing Win8.1.

  • NB200 - can I change the operating system?

    Hello.

    I have a Toshiba NB200 and Windows 7 starter.

I would like to change the operating system, and he wanted to know who I can install in this mini portatil. Also if after changing the operating system, the warranty is lost.

    Thank you for all!

    Hey Buddy,

Why you want to change the operating system?
In my opinion, Windows 7 Starter is ideal for this netbook. Windows 7 is the newest operating system and the Starter Edition is designed for netbooks.

Of course, you can install what you want and you won't lose the warranty if you install another, but Windows 7 is really good!

  • Change the operating system?

    Change the operating system?

    Hello

I have few Wyse S30 thin clients with WinCE on them. Is it possible to reflash them with Linux instead? I want to be able to use them to access a Server Windows 2012, without upgrading the memory that is already on them. they have 64 MB of RAM.

    SMKEATING,

The S30 has either 32, 64 or 128 MB of flash, so installing Linux cannot be an option because of space constraints.

  • Change the operating system selected a virtual machine under tension in vCenter

Is this possible? I looked in the box change the Settings - Options - but I can't see the usual fall down?

You should turn off the machine.

If you have made a mistake by setting for 32-bit or 64 - bit or vice versa, it does not really affect the virtual machine.

If you have entirely changed the operating system, then you will need to power off and do it right that there is again a critical impact. the operating system you choose decides the type of SCSI controllers and things.

I suggest you set a stop and do time.

  • Compaq Presario C310tu: change of operating system (32-bit to 64-bit)

    Hi, Professor and other experts

Would you be able to confirm that a 64-bit Windows 7 can be installed on this Presario C310tu if aware of the CPU is changed to a compatible 64-bit, even though he is running a 32-bit o/system?

Is ther other compatibility issues to consider?  If I find more information about this, I'll let you know.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    You are the very welcome.

There is no 64-bit processors that will work in the motherboard that has your PC.

If you want to run a 64-bit operating system, you will need to get a PC newer than this one.

  • Drive hard Crash - new operating system, help with drivers

I need help... my Dell XPS 8300 has experienced a fatal hard drive crash last week.  I went out and that you bought a new hard drive, and then Support Dell sent me a copy of Windows 7 to load up on the machine.  I have successfully loaded the operating system, but all of the drivers are missing.

Fast forward, I went to another machine (operation) and downloaded all the drivers applicable from the Dell site associated with my Service tag (on a flash drive).  Also, I burnt the drivers on a disc.

Here's the question: how to load the drivers on the Dell XPS? The files (on the flash drive or a cd) are not recognized by the Office?

Use Downloads.Dell.com and ignore the Dell Download Manager. For the XPS 8300:

Using a clean installation, it is possible to go from any operating system on any operating system.

However, your computer itself is perhaps not good enough to run vista or 7, then run the Upgrade Advisor will tell you if it is still possible.

    Hello:

HP only offers support and drivers for W8 on their consumption of the PC.

Visitors eager to support for other windows operating systems must buy a class business PC.

While there is no guarantee, you should be able to install W7 x 64 on your laptop.

I recommend that you first do your set of recovery discs before attempting to install another operating system on your laptop as once you traffic W8, the recovery partition probably will no longer work.

You will need to go into the BIOS and enable the legacy mode and disable secure boot.

So if you can get W7 to install, all x64drivers W7 and model this linked software should also work on your.

DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE FILES.
