• Using the crop tool to remove unused pixels or the artboard

  I have a cut picture, I placed a drop shadow (using the layer styles) on a transparent background.  I want to quickly use the crop tool to remove unused pixels or the artboard.

  I tried to enable 'show the edges of the layer', but it ignores the layer style/shade that I placed, and as it disappears when you start using the crop tool itself.  If this does not really work.

  Is there another way to do this?  Other than the eye it?  I too want to crop the image as tight as possible, but I don't want tight, too tight and cut off from the shadow.  Any advice?  Thank you!!

  Try Image - Trim function.  I think it will do exactly what need you.

  Try to flatten the PDF. The typewriter is not part of the document, but an overlay (markup). Maybe it's your viewer (especially with MAC) cannot handle markup. If you have the player available on your system, try this.

• Crop tool now displays a diagonal line.  The Panel "shall apply when importing" disappeared!  Any help is appreciated!

  My crop tool now shows a diagonal instead of a "rule of thirds".  I don't know why or how fix it.

  Secondly, the part "Apply when importing" disappeared from the right panel.   Therefore, I am unable to use the custom during the import.  I don't really know if it occurred during the upgrade to LR5.4 or not.

  Probably, you pressed the O key which runs through overlays of harvest when the crop tool is active.

  Click on Tools / Guide of cultures overlay in expand to see the different choices.

  They seem to have changed the crop tool in the develop module. Now, when you enter c = the superposition of the harvest, the guides are more 2 y reversed (or an X if you make a square). Why is this? the rule of thirds guides have been much more useful. Or am I the only one to see this change?

  I see no difference and don't remember any discussion about a change of behavior. Rule of thirds seems to work fine on my system (Mac and Windows). Are you sure that the grid has not been set on one of the alternative configurations? You can scroll through the different choices by pressing the O key or use the SHIFT + O combination to change the orientation of the overlay.

• How to make the text in the header change with scrolling effects?

  Im trying to do a header which changes when you scroll the page. I know how to make the text scrolls and back according to the key position, but his does not work if my key is less than my position of text on the page.

  Ideally, I would like to get so that I scroll to the area of 'Wine', the previous header will slide out and 'Wine' will slide in from the left.

• Crop tool changes its orientation

  I have a cropping preset guidance tool landscape size, I took photos for a book: data merge, I do every year. With CS6, I noticed something new and annoying; If I move the cropping tool too far to the left, it automatically changes the acreage of portrait. If this is supposed to be a feature, it's a unwelome plus one. If my screening of harvest is landscape, it's what I want. I would like to know if there is a way to disable this "feature".

  Have you tried changing the setting tool of harvest to use Classic mode. I don't know if it will do the trick. CS6 cropping tool has been reworked. Many do not like to rework it?

• White tool line text scrolling

  I'm cutting a single photo into 4 equal parts, but I am unable to get a clean cut.  Is there a trick?  I have screened tent at 256 x 512.

  The first selection is very good.  The second section has either a white line on the left or he's cutting the edge and so on so that at the time wherever I get to the last section, it is out of whack. It cuts the bottom or top of the last section

  If you have guides of pse 8 or 9, you can view the rules and drag from the leaders

  so the vertical guide snaps in the Center and the horizontal guide snaps in the

  Center. Then your selection will break your guides makes it easier to divide

  My style of scrolling windows XP PC changed some how to wavy smooth style. I tried to change with some advanced tools, smooth style. I was unable to change the style of scrolling.

  Hello, according to my knowledge the crop tool in CS6 automatically detect whether the image was a picture of format portrait or landscape photo format. I now use the trial of CC, but in this version, I can't find this option. When I now open a portrait-format photo cropping tool remembers the last harvest-setting. If it was a portrait-ratio is not a problem, but when I cropped photo landscape format I have to manually change the orientation from landscape to portrait.
  

  Anyone who can help me with this? Or has this feature disappearted in CC?

  Note that in your Options Panel in the upper part, you have 3:2 (4:6). To the left of that, right click on the crop tool icon and select Reset tool as in the screenshot, I sent earlier. This will change the options of the report tool that you see in my screenshot.

  Once you have reset the cropping tool, send a new screenshot of the Options Panel.

  I would like to point out that after installation of Acrobat Pro DC, open the document & tools 'Edit PDF' option, you can edit PDF files.

  The crop tool should be behind the crop Perspective tool described below.  However, with the latest update, you can change the toolbar. Click on the three dots at the bottom of the toolbar, and choose Edit.  If you drag the crop tool above the crop to the Perspective tool, normal crop tool will be the default and be the first response to the C shortcut.  You can use SHIFT C to switch between agricultural tools.

  I found that it is more difficult to explain than I thought

  I don't like the new behavior in the latest version of Photoshop (CC 2015.1) regarding the way in which the background layers automatically unlock and convert to regular layers after using the crop tool. It's completely different to how things worked in previous versions, where a background layer remained in locked state flattened after using the crop tool.

  I get a LOT of images and this change has added an extra step to each image that I harvest, because I flatten the layers after cropping before saving the image. I looked through the preferences but cannot find a way to change this new behavior. Am I missing something?

  See if checking Delete the cropped Pixels in the tool options makes a difference.
