  Sorry to bug all, but I searched for the answer to this for two days and found nothing.

  The regional settings for the main program are defined by the serial number, not necessarily of your choice of language. Shared components derive their locale from it thus and/or in part the setting of the system. This issue with installs wrongly using en_GB is quite common, though. It occurs usually when other Adobe software with components shared already was on the system and forced the installation program using the wrong language. However, short of reinstalling everything with that uninstalls Adobe After sweeping and the CS4 Clean Script, it is impossible to solve this problem.

  I'm going to buy a new PC and I would like to re - install my version of Adobe Photoshop CS4 in my new computer. According to a friend, Adobe does not support older versions of their software and the older products such as CS4 have security vulnerabilities.  He advised me to go to the subscription model to be fully supported, or consider that it is a very good free program GIMP.  I am completely satisfied of the Adobe CS4 and I'm not interested in Update for the software based on a cloud that we must renew annually.   This could be attributed to several factors such as conflicts between device drivers, applications, settings of operating system, hardware, and corrupt elements in specific files.

  Basic troubleshooting
  
  1. make sure that the computer meets the minimum requirements for Photoshop.
  2. install all Windows updates. .
  3 re-create the Photoshop preferences file.

  Re-create the Photoshop preferences file to eliminate problems that may cause a damaged Preferences file.

  To re-create the Photoshop preferences files:

  1. quit Photoshop.
  2. rename the \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp directory Users\ [username] Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.old.
  3 launch Photoshop. Photoshop creates a new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.
  If the problem persists, the Photoshop preferences files aren't the cause. To restore custom settings, quit Photoshop, and then delete the new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file and restore the original name of the previous Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.

  Due to a disk failure, the first part of the path to the library changed and disconnected so many photos that I've been using photoshop for more than 8 years. I am running windows 7 with photoshop elements 14. An example is the original path was 3 28 \\dualdisk02\bobk\myphotos\2010 and now the path is 3 28 \\dualdisk03\latk\myphotos\2010 is it possible to easily just change the first part of the path from one channel to the other?
